Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MrBehr Great Spot!
We were heading from Florida to Ohio and spent the night here. The shuttle driver Mike was awesome! He took us to a great restaurant area and picked us up, too. He was so lively and entertaining. A great addition to the hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed totally comfortable. Had a very nice, quiet sleep. (Even with an Atlanta Braves game going on right there!)We would definitely consider this 1/2 way stop again in our travels.

I always stay here but this visit was not a good one. I had a family emergency so I had to fly back home early. Not because I wanted to but because i needed to. I had to pay the 50 dollar fee for leaving early. Even though i'm booked at this hotel till 8-8-13. Not only was i upset because I had to come home but i also was upset about the fee.

We came into town as a stop on our way from FL to IL. We also wanted to catch a Braves game. The hotel is very close to the stadium and a nice place to stay if you are coming into town for a game. The front desk staff was very friendly on both check in and check out. They were also very helpful with some of the questions we asked. I found the bar to be a bit over priced, and wished there had been more food available after the game. However, we will gladly come back our next time in Atlanta. I hope the front desk staff is acknowledged for their good work.

This is a very convenient location to both downtown work venues as well as tourist venues. The shuttle (free) to work sites and tourist sites is a BIG plus...avoiding downtown traffic and parking challenges.
The staff are always friendly and very service oriented. I stay there often and highly recommend it for work or play.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by susan2000 convenient, clean,& comfortable
We were expecting more of a 2star setting due to the reviews, but made our choice for the location. Pleasant surprise!! Everyone was happy, friendly, & helpful. The shuttle was fantastic & got us around Atlanta quickly & easily. Our driver (Mike) was super great. Our room had new carpet & appeared to have been recently renovated. The public areas also looked fresh & new. Plenty of close gated parking for a daily fee, but worth it to leave your car and use the shuttle. Turner Field within walking distance. Very comfortable bed, but need bigger & better pillows. Our disappointments were no refrigerator in room, no free breakfast & the pool was not available.

My table and others near me were infested with little fruit flies in my drink and flying around the food. The waitress was nice about it but it made for a negative impression. Ok to sleep here but beware of food.

Stayed in order to go to a braves game and then zoo the next day. Hotel was within walking distance. Less that 1/2 mile from entrance of Turner Field. And very close to the zoo also. Very convenient and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant inside the hotel was also very good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Stay for a Braves Game
We booked 2 rooms at this hotel for 1 night in May 2013 to attend 2 games at Turner Field. All of the staff were extremely nice and went above and beyond for customer service. The operations manager (I can't remember his name) was meeting and greeting guests at check-in and at breakfast the next morning. This shows a strong desire for the hotel to provide a high level of customer service.
The hotel is great for a Braves game and provides an easy free shuttle for a 3 mile radius if you want to go downtown. There are not any restaurants within walking distance (except at the hotel), but is less than a half mile to the entrance to Turner Field. The hotel is quiet a few years old, but updates have been made to make it competitive with today's market. We will definitely stay here again the next time that we go to a Braves game.
Again, this hotel provides a great value, excellent customer service, and should be a top choice for anyone booking a room in Atlanta. Thanks again to the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

The stay would of been excellent except on both sides of us
the neighbors kids were bouncing off the walls (thin walls)
so hard the beds moved.. Think the two rooms were people who were together and tried to communicate through our room
Hours of the resturant did not fit into our schedule

I visit Turner Field annually (for a three game series) but this was my first stay at this property. The price was reasonable considering its competition and quality of the property. My original room had A/C issues but the staff quickly moved me across the hall to a room with a working A/C. Clean with a good staff. Restuarant (breakfast buffet) was GREAT with a good price. This will be my NEW place to stay each year when I visit Turner Field.

OUR FIRST TRIP TO ATLANTA TO WATCH THE BRAVES PLAY BALL. STAYED AT THE HOLIDAY INN RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM TURNER FIELD, WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. WHEN WE GOT OUR ROOM AND BEING CHARGED 12.00 TO PARK ON TOP OF WHAT I HAD PAID FOR THE ROOM, AND A 25.00 FOR A FEE IN CASE WE DESTROYED THE ROOM, WE WENT IN AND THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. GO INTO THE BATHROOM TO FIND ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF TOLIET TISSUE. CALLED FRONT DESK, GOT A RUN AROUND THAT HOUSE KEEPING HAD GONE AND SHE HAD IT AT THE FRONT DESK AND I COULD COME AND GET IT! NOW I HAVE A SLEEPING CHILD IN THE BED, I AM NOT GOING TO LEAVE MY CHILD. SHE SAID SHE WOULD TRY HER BEST TO GET IT TO THE ROOM. MIDNIGHT WE RECEIVED OUR TOLIET TISSUE..... CALLED DOWN TO COMPLAIN THAT WE HAD NO BLACK OUT CURTAINS, WELL LET ME SEE IF WE CAN MOVE YOU TO ANOTHER ROOM AT MIDNIGHT! I TOLD HER TO FORGET IT, WE WOULD JUST MAKE DUE AND WOULD NEVER STAY WITH THEM AGAIN. SHE WAS VERY RUDE, DID NOT WANT TO HELP AT ALL. THE NEXT MORNING, I WENT TO CHECK OUT AND THE GENERAL MANAGER WAS STANDING THERE CHECKING PEOPLE OUT, ITS A SHAME I DID NOT GET IN HIS LINE BECAUSE HE WOULD HAVE HEARD EVERY BIT OF THIS NIGHT MARE!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fawad Good location, good service
I made a booking at the last minute during midnight when I arrived in Atlanta. The room was made available on a phone call. The reception staff did facilitate me well. There was no free breakfast that caused some uneasiness. The hotel parking and room service was not bad. However, absence of refrigerator and microwave was certainly a problem for week long stay. I suggest that they can upgrade rooms with refrigerators and offer complimentary breakfast to make the hotel stay attractive and comfortable.

I stayed there because of price and would probably try to avoid it if possible. Remodeled but the age still comes through. The regular working staff was good and pleasant, the ladies behind the counter (the shift didn't matter) not so much. When I arrived they were very put off because they were very busy. Two comments made were interesting. First, we are so busy we can only give you a room that we have, not what was reserved. Second and the best, I asked "How do I access the lobby stairway to get up to my floor ?"- reply from behind the counter - "Sir we do not have stairs that access the floors" - What - Really! I would say management training is in need especially in the area of property comprehension and hospitality.
Price for food and drink represented a higher star property.
Good news the bed was comfy.

We've stayed at this property twice recently. Staff is great. Friendly, helpful, accommodating! Love Lisa at the front desk and Jonas and Mike in the shuttle! Restaurant really needs more of a varied menu. That's the only recommendation I can make. Otherwise, great property.

Really enjoyed the omelet chef. Some of the best I've had in years.
Your staff at the front desk were also very helpful and patient. They directed to a great restaurant for lunch while we waited for our room to be prepared for early check-in.
Everyone at the hotel was polite and friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay while we attended the Braves Opening day game on April 1st 2013. The shuttle driver that took us to the game was great and does his job very well !!! That was a nice treat after driving for 4 hours and being stuck in traffic trying to get to the hotel.. The view from our hotel room was amazing ( 11th floor) ,The breakfast the next morning was very good as well as the service that went with it, The waiter was nice and made sure we were taken care of .. I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to attend a Braves Game , or while visiting Atlanta !!!

Was in ATL for a business trip so not much time for "playing," so it was especially telling that the staff were some of the friendliest & most helpful I've ever encountered. Was disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open but the staff at the bar, where the food was being served, made me comfortable. offered excellent suggestions, and made me feel at home.

Upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised by the decor. My children loved the room and were so excited with their stay. I appreciate the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were comfortable, the TV was up to date, I was in awe.I also liked the gated parking as it added a level of security as well. Every year we stay in Atlanta to attend the circus, and next year we will go here as well!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Denise45 Attentive staff, great location and excellent value
I stay here every time I come to Atlanta for business, which is often. It is an EXCELLENT location to get to the Capitol, as well as all the major attractions like Turner Field, Centennial Park, CNN, Coke, Aquarium and others. The staff are always helpful and polite - everyone from the front desk to the wonderful shuttle drivers (FREE within 3 mile radius- what a great deal!) to housekeeping and everyone else. The rooms could be updated, but they are always clean and the property is well maintained. The restaurant is average, but it's fine for a quick meal at a reasonable price. With all the overpriced hotels in Atlanta, this Holiday Inn is exceptionally reasonally priced - even in prime seasons. I will remain a repeat customer as I appreciate the staff and the great value!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JJD2500 Sufficient
This property is in a decent location, but anyone staying here for events taking place at the Congress Center or other locations in the city will be dependent on alternative transportation, as walking is just a bit too far.. The hotel does operate a van/shuttle on the half hour, but it ceases at 11:00 pm, so taxi cabs would be required.
Overall the property is sufficient and should meet most needs of average travelers. The location would be very good if traveling to Atlanta for MLB/Braves games, as the stadium is in easy walking distance. Although my room was well appointed in linens and reasonably quite on the top (15th) floor, the WiFi reception was sporadic and should be address by the management.
In the common areas like the lobby and cocktail lounge the decor was dated an well worn. A remodel and redecorating of these areas would go a long way in increasing the curb appeal and creating solid first impressions upon arrival.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bill1110 Not impressed
Not impressed with this property at all. This hotel needs a MAJOR makeover. It is a shame because the location of the hotel is great. The biggest problem I had was cleanliness in and around the restaurant area. The only breakfast offered was inside the restaurant. The most shocking thing was the carpet in the restaurant. IT WAS FILTHY. You could see an outline next to the wall of what the carpet looked like when clean. It looked as if it had never been shampooed. And you could feel that stickyness under your feet. Gross. There were kids hand prints that were very noticeable on the glass in the restaurant that I saw two days in a row. It looked like chocolate smeared on the glass. The highchair we used was so sticky from previous use that I let my son sit in a regular chair. The carpet in the center hallway was also filthy too. The beds in our room was basically worn out. The beds both made loud squeaking noise when you would move during the night. I have learned my lesson. Will stay downtown from now on.
