Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Guest Service We flew in to Atlanta on the red eye from Denver for the 4th of July, so that put us there at 5am and of course regular check in time is 3 pm. We telephoned the hotel the day before and they were very accommodating and allowed us to check in at 10 am. That gave us time to rest and do some exploration of downtown Atlanta before we enjoyed the spectacular 4th festivities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay downtown close to Olympic park. Also a great value for the location. July 15, 2014

When I checked in, they accommodated a request to change my room type to 2 doubles instead of 1 queen. Hotel is a bit older, a little tired, clean and for the location, a great value. The staff is abundantly kind and friendly. Great breakfast buffet. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very limited room space The two rooms 832 and 838 our families stayed were very small and no view. No room upgrade for planitnum member. For room space reason we would not come back to this hotel in the future. The BLVD Cafe at this hotel is pretty good. We had dinner there, delicious pizza, salad and great service by the hotel staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location - friendly staff Location was excellent - walking distance from my training, Centennial Park, CNN Center, etc. I was very irritated when I first checked in because I had faxed my credit card authorization form from my office twice and was told it was never received. I also was put on hold several times then told I would receive a call back when I tried to call to see if it had been received. I never received a call back. i was also told that i could bring the form with me, but was told they could not accept it when I got to the hotel - it had to be faxed or emailed. The staff person at the desk, however was very friendly and helpful (despite my irritability). She got me checked in and made detailed notations so that it could be resolved the next morning by manager/staff. I was also a little disappointed because I specifically selected this hotel for the hot tub, but it was out of order. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. June 23, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was tremendous! We were visiting Atlanta for very unpleasant business, and to make matters worse our car broke down just as we arrived. We walked into the hotel stressed and upset, but the hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel better. The valet found a perfect spot for our car; the front desk clerk gave us information for auto mechanics; the bartender treated us to a free glass of wine and had us laughing and relaxing; and the restaurant waiter served us as if we were royalty. The hotel was very nice, the room was clean and comfortable, the food was exceptionally good, and the staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. Thanks for making our trip so much more pleasant than we expected... we will certainly stay at this hotel again. June 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Bad Stay During our visit to this hotel we had a bad experience from day one. Our room was dirty and when we walked in the air was on 58, so it was like an icebox. The bed sheets had stains on them and it just felt grungy. One day we were out of the room from a little after ten until about 4 o'clock. our room was not cleaned during this time and when we called the front desk and asked why they said it was our fault cause the maids did their rounds at 10 and our privacy please sign was still out so they never came back. We asked them to clean our room when we left again and change the sheets because they had stains on them. They ended up coming and cleaning our room when we left again but all they did was make the bed. Same sheets with stains, no towels in the bathroom, and no soap or shampoo. So when we got back at around midnight we had to go back down to the front desk to ask for towels and everything else. We received no I'm sorry or nothing. instead they acted like we were being a problem. June 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Hotel Staff Anywhere This was by far the best customer service experience I've ever had. From the moment I walked in the door, we had top notch service. The food for dinner was amazing. (I recommend the shrimp grits.) The next morning my daughter mentioned in passing the waitress that this was her birthday trip. Moments later another staff member brought over a paper bag filled with snack foods that said "Happy Birthday". It wasn't a huge thing, just simple crackers and chips, but it was the idea that these people would go out of their way to do something to make a 7-year-old feel extra special. Now I'm looking for an excuse to take another trip to that hotel! June 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Okay for downtown For the price and location this was a decent hotel. We loved being so close to Centennial Park and other fun downtown locations. It was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom had a few issues that need repair. Also, the website said the room came with fridge and microwave, which it didn't. When I talked to the desk they had a small, mediocre fridge to bring up and said that we could use the microwave in the lobby (We were on the 11th floor.) The pool was only OK as well. June 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pros and cons on this one First I'll say I'm a Platinum member, so I travel quite a bit. I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta as well as the Holiday Inn by the airport. I debated on this one and chose it because I've never stayed downtown. While it is conveniently located to lost of activities, the hotel is itself is in need of some upgrades. The carpet in my room was worn and actually frayed in some places. Furnishings are dated. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll mention Andrea who checked us in, in particular. No suites, microwaves or refrigerators. I did something I've never done before. I left my jewelry and a few pieces of clothing in the drawer when I checked out. I did not realize it until almost midnight when I had already reached another destination. I called the hotel and sent an email to the hotel manager to alert them. The young lady I spoke to said Housekeeping had already closed and suggested I call first thing the next morning. I did, and my jewelry had been located and it was at the front desk. It was all intact. However, two bottles of perfume went missing. I sent another email to the hotel manager to thank him but I never received a response to either email. I ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings, and the buffet and service were great. Overall, it's a pretty decent place to stay and I would probably stay there again. June 4, 2014

The location is great and the staff is really personable but professional. I look forward to seeing them each time I go there. We cant say enough about how lovely our stay was and how much we truly appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of Tracy at the front desk. She made checking in and out a breeze and was wonderful about answering all our questions and concerns. I honestly couldn't wait to write this review because we all agreed how she alone made our stay better. I hope to have someone that wonderful at every IHG hotel I stay with. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Hotel I stay 95% of my travel at a HI, this was the worst one. First room, smelled horrible, holes in the walls, no chair at the so called desk and a/c didn't work Second room, smelled even worse TV didn't work, very slow sink drain and had to hold the toilet handle forever just to get it to flush. The maintenance man fixed the TV, but couldn't get the sink and toilet fixed. The rooms were extremely small and the a/c was horrible in the 2nd room also. The staff at this hotel was great, all very nice and very helpful they all deserve a 10. For the rest of my stay in Atlanta I went to another HI that is great! So thank you to this HI for restoring my faith in HI. May 4, 2014
