The bed was comfortable and the property was clean. However, the walls were thin and we could easily hear voices. The restaurant / breakfast was awful. This was our third stay, and the food hasn't improved in two or three years. Eggs were barely warm and rubbery, bacon was paper thin and greasy, selection was cheap and very poorly set up. Of the six nights we stayed, I purchased breakfast elsewhere even though it would have been much more convenient and pleasant to have a good breakfast on property.
I am a Priority Club member. HI has a practice of giving a gift bag upon arrival. This was the cheapest bag I have ever gotten. There was a bottle of discount water, a snack-size bag of pretzels, and one piece of hard candy. It definitely did NOT make me feel welcome. It would be better for them to skip the bag than to be so cheap. Finally, during our six night stay, our room keys failed three times resulting in trips to the front desk...and waiting in line. Pretty annoying, especially late in the evening after a long day.

Stayed for five days to visit with my son. Very clean and friendly place to stay. Close to I20 but pretty quite. I plan to stay here again next trip despite several other hotels near by.

I arrived at the Holiday Inn Augusta West I-20 on Friday, September 20, 2013 about 10:00 P.M. Checked out on September 25, 2013. I had a normal friendly check-In with the customer representative who remembers me on a yearly basis. My room was cleaned daily, no problems with staff or amenities. On the day of check-out I was told that my credit card had been billed $201.14 days before check-out time. I questioned the charges and the representative did not know why. I asked to speak to the hotel manager and was told that she would not be in until 9:00 A.M. and it was now 8:00 A.M. I decided to wait to speak to the manager before completing my check-out because I wanted to know why my credit card had been charged money the week before check-out. I had 720 miles to drive, alone as a female, to return home. I called Customer Care while I was waiting and voiced a complaint. Customer Care called and spoke to the manager at 9:00 A.M., called me back and wanted to know why I was upset because my card was charged. I told Customer Care that I pay cash when leaving the hotel each year and that my card should not have been charged anything a week before check-out. The Customer Care Representative seemed the least bit concerned. When I met with the manager she told me that my reservations had been cancelled the first night because I did not show by 4:00 P.M. I told the manager that as a female driving 720 miles to get to that particular Holiday Inn - it is difficult to get there at 4:00 P.M. I told the manager that if she had checked her hotel records she would have found that I stay at that particular hotel every year, the same month, the same week and the same amount of days and I am never there by 4:00 P.M. WHY cancel my reservations? There was no response. The manager then told me that she had the housekeeping staff watching and checking my personal belongings to see if and when I would leave the premises. Did this woman (manager) think I was going to sneak out without paying? Since I was a returning loyal customer, why didn't this manager have the common sense to pick up the house phone and personally call me to ask "when will you be checking out" and explained her reasoning for asking. Instead she had housekeeping watching me as if I was an escaped criminal the police was looking for in Augusta. I did not receive the courtesy and respect due. This particular manager should be suspended for a week without pay and during that week entered into a customer service class. I am POSITIVE this manager does not treat everyone the same!!! I was horrified that this manager had the gall to tell me that she had housekeeping watching me as if I was a guarded prisoner. People, it was not the hotel - just the horrific management stemming from one individual.

We stayed two nights for my niece's wedding 20 minutes away. We booked adjoining rooms, our two daughters stayed in the room with the two queen beds. Our room was clean with plenty towels in the bathroom. I was a bit disappointed our room did not have a safe. The girls' room did have a safe.. I thought the breakfast the first day was pretty bad. Apparently a swim team had eaten before us and they had to replenish but did not have a good variety. The second morning we had a better breakfast. The server was very pleasant and sweet, kept our coffee re-filled. I would recommend this hotel for its convenience and value.

I could go on for pages about what problems we had with this property. Management was rude and unhelpful, hotel maintenance was shoddy at best , and common courtesy and ability to bill accounts correctly was never seen.
I have contacted the corporate office on this hotel. As a seasoned traveler, I was horrified that such a bad hotel stay existed.
Save your money, and book somewhere, ANYWHERE else..

where IHG members. After a long trip it was nice that there was
a full restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good and the
restaurant staff was friendly , they would ask if there was anything else we needed. Would stay here again. Easy access on and off I 20

Comfortable and enjoyable! Will come back on our next trip to your fair city!!! Lobby was very inviting, whirlpool was nice and hot and did wonders for a good night rest. Great place to spend the night or weekend....

The hotel was a good place to stay. After a long road trip the hotel fit the bill. The only downside was that the toilet quit flushing
later that night. My wife was too tired to move to other room since we had unpack our stuff. We made due however. Other than the problem with the bathroom the hotel is a very nice place to stay if you happen to be in Augusta, GA.

We stayed in the hotel while taking my son from basic training to AIT at fort gordon. It is very clean and well kept. The rooms, the common area and the pool area were all well kept. The lobby popcorn provided a great afternoon snack for the kids. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in.

Great, friendly staff! Our room was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed relaxing in the pool and sitting out on the patio after a long drive. Ordered room service from the restaurant and the food was excellent and service with a smile! Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed during the labor day weekend, along with several of my family members, due to a family reunion. The rooms were not bad, but the complimentary breakfast was awlful. This was one of the selling points, but none of the food on was hot, no matter what time during the hours of service for breakfast. It was extremely disappointing. After going down for breakfast on the second day, we went outside to find breakfast.
The keys for the rooms had to be re-key each time I left my room, which was extremely annoying.
There were several little things that really made this not an excellent stay.

Room was reserved by a friend so didn't know until arrival that we had two doubles instead of a king. April was able to find us a room with a king with no problems. Everyone was super nice and things were so clean. Great stay!

I waited 40 min to be issued a card key for my room. Evidently the machine that codes a room number to each card was not working properly. I was finally escorted to my room to avoid waiting any longer in the lobby. About an hour later the front desk attendant then provided me an operating set of room keys.

We were in need of a place to stay when our home AC went out. Having stayed with the same facility in 2010 for another reason and recent stay in Kennesaw, Ga. I chose to go to the hotel that I knew could meet my family's needs. Everyone was customer oriented and wanted to make sure all our needs were met. Thanks for the positive experience.

I made reservation for a king size room for two adults and a child. I’ve stayed at numerous Holiday Inns and with the king reservation had a sofa bed for my child. This HIE did not have a sofa bed, but we were fortunate enough to get the last roll away bed.
Also, the breakfast did not offer much for a HIE complimentary breakfast. There was no cereal for my daughter, which has been the best thing for her when travelling. No biscuits and gravy, no cinnamon rolls, etc. The basics were missing. There was no juice dispenser which required us to wait for the one waitress that was trying to take orders for drinks for everyone and try to clean the tables as new guests would come in. The bread was stale. The worst experience we’ve had in our 20+ years of travelling with the military.
Must find a new place to stay in Augusta for my next upcoming visit.

Reservation process was simple, check in was personal & friendly, accomodations were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bartender and servers were friendly and accomodationg to my preferences. Breakfast was fresh and included everything I was looking for (Scrambled Eggs, meat, & fruit) I did not partake in the waffles or sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Checkout was as simple as a friendly wave with a smile and wishing me "Safe travels" home. I travel to Augusta very often and always stay at this facility. The accomodations and staff are consistantly great.

The room is new, so it is clean.
Restaurant would have been nice if the outside seat was actually used.
No weight training equipment in the gym, which is a huge minus for me.
No restaurant around the building, which they cannot really help.

I stayed at the hotel for 13 days over a three week period. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff really goes out their way to take care of you. The rooms are comfortable.
