Over all the stay there is not one for family or one that is handicap. They place the handicap in the rear of the motel it is not a hotel. The cost is over priced for the stay the cleaning staff management is great. The house keeping staff needs better training. Mold and mildew in shower and mattress with urine stain is not good at all especially when you are supposed to be changing the liening. Just not some place to be comfortable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SundogBZ reservation and check in
I called the motel directly but got someone at a reservation center. I've had bad experiences with third party reservations, so I was concerned that this would be a similar experience. The phone reservationist assured me he worked for Holiday Inn, but it didn't sound like it and I remained dubious, though perhaps I shouldn't have been. Still, I prefer to speak with someone at the facility I'm trying to stay at.
When I arrived about midnight, my reservation was ready for me, though I thought the front desk person was a little curt. Perhaps because it was late and she was tired.
When I stayed at the same motel a few days later without phoning in a reservation first, the front desk person was much friendlier, and more helpful -- she was able to provide me a 10% discount I was not made aware of the first time around.
The motel was great, but I'm a small businessperson, and the high price for a bed is a drawback for me.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn Gordon Hwy when I travel near Augusta. It's one exit from the the Augusta Mall and many good restaurants. The front desk staff always seems to put a smile on my face. It is older but still seems to be in good shape. Most do not like the older motel style with outside entry doors but the pool, courtyard, and magnolia trees are nice. The Gym is better than most as well. Breakfast is the best you will find in a hotel without having to pay 20 bucks for it. I've already booked again for my trip next week.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jay457 food is great, needs new carpet in room
breakfast makes this place a great value over other local hotels. If the breakfast went to bad food they serve at the Hampton I would stop staying here. Love the pool area in the Summer
Need business center in a room and out of the hallway.
room carpets are past their prime.
dinner menu was a good value.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pushinold Unreasonable security deposit required
Room was nice, but has outside corridors, No elevators.
Breakfast was the best in the area, made onsite without pre-prepared food. I have had better during other stays, but in this location, this is above standard.
Was charged a $20 'hold' charge on my bank card for any damages that might occur while staying there. I was using Corporate Lodging, and so I am sure most people aren't charged this fee, but even though I have stayed about 5 different times in the last 2 months, I am still being charged this amount each time I check in. After 10 days it is refunded, but I would think that by now they would get the idea that it is not necessary. CLC will pay any damages anyway.
Staff does not seem to care about my hotel membership. They have all the information about me on file if there was ever a problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mhrs Great Service, Comfortable Room
First thing: the staff here is very friendly and responsive. In particular, Sandra, on the Reception Desk, checked me in (early) and out in a friendly and efficient manner. This made a great impression on me.
The hotel is a little outdated, but this did not detract from my stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The pillows were just the right firmness. The bed linen and towels were thick and comfortable. Toiletries were very good quality, and there was lots of really hot water.
Best, the hotel is actually quiet as there is another building between the hotel and the main road.
The breakfast bar had lots of real food - not just cereal and waffles. It was properly cooked and tasty. The dining area and bar were clean and inviting.
All in all, my first experience of a Holiday Inn was a very positive experience and I would recommend the Augusta-Gordon Hwy Holiday Inn as good value for money.
