Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff and Good Location The hotel is located in an area which is very central to all my business needs with easy access to major roadways. When you arrive the front desk staff are very warm and welcoming and make checking in fast and efficient. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the rooms, especially the bathroom, are very clean. The cleaning staff even left a little note to check on my stay since I was there for multiple nights. The pool is a bit small for any kind of lap swiming, did not try the whirlpool because it was occupied by a noisy group of boys, exercise room looked like the usual equipment but the front desk staff showed me some walking paths on a map so I could go outside to exercise. Wish they would offer some yoga equipment (mat, blocks and strap) because there is space in the room to do a nice little workout. Luckily I was on the far back side of the hotel because the corridors closer to the kitchens had strong smells of cooked food; grilled beef seemed to dominate during my stay. August 25, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate, Slept Well Dated facility with poor access to far side of second floor via a single elevator at a far end and one luggage cart but staff was professional, room was clean (although in need of some tub caulk refresh) and I slept well- which is the important thing. I decided on the Austin Holiday Inn and was truly happy with all aspects of my stay. Mollie and Jordan were working the front desk when I came in after 15 hrs on the road. Many times I would like to charge my cell phone overnight, within reach. Complimentary morning coffee would be much appreciated. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Home for a funeral When I checked in on 5 August I was surprised that the night manager, not the desk clerk told me that she does not up grade platinum elite, and IHG rewards club, and IHG credit card holder, if they are not regulars. She would not up grade me to a better room. I was surprised. but being there for my mothers funeral, I did not have time to go over it. I had reservations for two nights, sent through Holiday Inn reservations. When I went out the next morning to my car and came back, my room had been canceled. I went to the front desk and they had overlooked the fact that I had been booked for two nights. The general manager was there and apologized for the mix-up. I can not understand why the night manager will not upgrade platinum elate guests because they are not regulars, never had this happen ever from any HI property. Aside from that the room was very clean and comfortable the staff were very good and I was disappointed with the night manager. . August 10, 2014
