The internet connection was slowest than expected, hotel's Norton firewall was annoying - it showed up too many times, it felt like I was being watched. The room wasn't done one one of the days, but the response was correct. Everything else as expected, comfortable and nice. October 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3rd year in a row for SWRFA a winner! Southwest Regional Folk Alliance was staged here in late September and it was a treat AGAIN. Everything went smooth and staff made it possible for sure! Even knew where to go for me more beer within walking distance! Like the way the whole place is set up and very clean and orderly, too. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Another good year We once again enjoyed our stay with Midtown Holiday Inn for the SWRFA event. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was once again above average! It is unfortunate that there was one repeat problem and one surprise. The elevators, while looking much nicer, again failed us for most of the time we were there - certainly Friday-Sunday. Since you told us that you had the elevators reworked recently, this was disappointing, particularly when SWRFA requires that we append a lot of time going between floors! Secondly, for a reason I never did understand, while my confirmation, reservation, and check-in sheet were all for 4 nights (Wednesday-Sunday), on Friday morning the housekeeping staff entered the room without knocking (while I was working) and told me that they had been told I had checked out. I called the front desk, and the lady on the Front Desk insisted that our reservation was only for two nights. I told her she was incorrect, and she asked me to bring my iPhone to the front desk to show her. I suggested that an easier alternative would be for her to check my folio/check-in form - and she mumbled something and said she'd take care of it. Our final invoice showed two charges, so in fact someone (or some thing!) did check us out of the room, which is very disconcerting. I would appreciate an explanation of what happened, as when I stopped by the front desk, they shrugged and say "there is no problem". What happened? Otherwise, another good stay! October 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Rooms , but dont expect to be treated like a platinum member I felt the hotel was safe, and clean, The room was very clean , and the best was the most comfortable I have ever had. I have a Tempurpedic at home so I am spoiled, and this bed felt great compared to my bed at home. I was not impressed being a Platinum rewards member. i was not offered a room upgrade, extra points , or any of the other items offered when i normally check in. I think it makes my platinum status useless in that way. But everything was very clean, and comfortable. I just wish the desk staff handled my platinum status like i am used to being treated.
