Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A wonderful staff I came to Austin to attend a convention held on this property. I found the staff exceptionally attentive, pleasant and just downright sweet. Whoever hires and trains for this HI, that person is doing an excellent job! I would return to this hotel for a stay the next time I'm in Austin. May 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, good service My organization held a national meeting for about 100 members, with multiple sessions in parallel on each day. Although the Austin Midtown did not offer the amenties usually associated with a major convention hotel, the venue was clean and comfortable, and the staff more than met the needs for our 3-day meeting. This hotel provided good value...meeting all our needs without charging an arm and a leg. May 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't Let the Location Discourage You I was a little put off by the location initially. But the comfort of the room, the friendliness of the staff, and the full-service restaurant and bar quickly won me over. Great meeting rooms for functions, modern renovated rooms, and food. Close to some shopping options and not far from tourist activity downtown with 6th street or the state buildings. If you want a refrig in the room, request it early. May 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Overall stay was excellent. Had to change rooms because it got cool and heat would not work. Guy came up immediately to check it out. Could not repair quickly. But staff had no problem changing us to another room with a smile. Guy even brought up the bellhop cart to transport the luggage, etc. May 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Food Service was not so bueno Young lady at the bar was rude and gross. Manager was very nice and accommedating when approached about bartender. May 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by What's up with the pillows ? I've stayed here twice and enjoyed both times. This time, the bed had the small pillows which was unusual and a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was great. The breakfast buffet was very good, nothing fancy like crepes or champagne but if you want some good breakfast food, this is the place. May 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by unhappy The bed was less than comfortable. The sheets smelled like they were brand new and something on them irritated my eyes. The room smelled musty. The ice machine was broken and looked as though it had been vandalized. For this price, stay somewhere else. May 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel in questionable area The hotel seems updated, though there are some ceiling tiles that need to be replaced in the hallways. Overall, the hotel and room seemed great, but we missed the turn around at our exit and discovered the neighborhood around the hotel is questionable at best. The hotel has multiple police cars patrol the grounds throughout the evening for the safety of their guests. While that might reassure some, it was a bigger testament of why we would book at a different location during our next trip to Austin. May 7, 2013
