We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel bar staff were very hospitable and provided great service. The food was fresh and tasty. Overall, a great stay at this Holiday Inn! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Alanon & Ala-Teen Conference This was my first time in Austin. I really enjoyed the experience and the hotel was great. Room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. There was a problem at first (I was given the key to a room that was occupied) but when I went back to the front desk the staff could not have been more helpful and apologetic and a little horrified (the man answered the door sans clothes!) Ha...the hotel staff gave me coupons for 4 free breakfasts for my stay and my granddaughter and myself dined at the wonderful breakfast buffet. It was great!! February 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room but long wait for elevator and buffet food unsatisfactory I recently stayed at this hotel and had a good experience for the most part. The elevators were under construction which, in itself was not a problem, but one elevator was not running at all. Since there was a conference at the hotel it was difficult to get to our room at the close of each session, waiting in line for quite some time. We also tried the dinner buffet and the food was disappointing at best. I would recommend eating elsewhere if you are staying at this hotel. Once the elevator renovatiion is complete, I do believe this will be a very good hotel at which to stay. February 15, 2013

One elevator was not working which held us up some since I was there for an ATAAC convention. will be back next year February 15, 2013

They provided breakout rooms. The rooms were clean and quiet. No noise was heard from a-joining rooms. I would stay in the hotel again when I am in Austin. February 3, 2013

The meeting rooms were great, the food was wonderful for all meals and the service was excellent! This is all to say nothing about how nice the individual rooms were for our overnight stay of 2 nights. I cannot say enough about how great the overall experience was - and there was nothing that I could possibly say a negative word about. Great job, Holiday Inn Midtown Austin! We will probably be back next year for the same event... Thank you for a great experience! February 3, 2013

They are in the middle of remodling the whole building and what has been completed is great. Looking forward to seeing the finished product as I will spend 3 - 5 days during each of the next 6 months as a guest. January 21, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff who went above and beyond I was in town for surgery at the local hospital. The staff and management went above and beyond to make sure that i was comfortable, picked me up at the hospital, and more. Jared was especially wonderful--many many thanks to him. The nighttime waitress was also great and always took care of me, as did the front desk. The only negative was that I required bellhop service on my last day to help with teh bags. the security guard was supposed to help and took over 30 minutes at 5:30 AM. He was horrible. I could actually hear the front desk person (who was great) page him and he'd tell her he was on my floor, but he WASN'T. He almost caused us to miss our flight. December 14, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sleep Number, most uncomfortable bed. First of all, it was a slow day for the hotel, hardly anyone there because of Thanksgiving. Despite that fact, they gave us a room with a step up shower which I did not request. I asked for one with a bathtub and said there was non available. I also asked if there should be a refrigerator like what it showed on the website and was told that some rooms have it. There's a $10 charge if I want one in my room which I declined. Since I booked this through Priceline, I was under the impression that they don't they give the same service had I booked it directly with Holiday Inn. I'm a Priority Club member and have had very good experiences before esp when they know I'm a member. But this time was very disappointing. November 29, 2012

The carpet was very dirty and stained. The food was fair for vegans. Absolutely delicious for regular dieters ( according to my husband.) November 17, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful beds They use sleep number beds they are awful its like sleeping on a air mattress and the middle caves in so you have to sleep on the edge to stay flat. I also asked for a day and a half which they said was fine they did it before but when I went to cash out they said it was to late it was 9pm that is a day and a half and I had left at 8pm last time with no issue. So I was charged 2 nights. And when I went to check in I gave them my card they said it doesnt work so I gave them another card they said it didnt work so my husband gave his card then it went through but when the bill came the charges where on the 2 cards I had given them that they said didnt work. So I was stressed thinking someone was using my cards had to make phone calls to ensure I wasnt a vicim of fraud. They wasted my time took more money then they said and I didnt even sleep well. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by very bad experience for a holiday inn Holiday inn Austin Texas 10/25/12 On Wednesday 10/17/12 I call for a reservation and was booked in at the holiday inn at 6000 Middle Fiskville Road Austin, Texas 78752 I went to the desk and told them I had a reservation and comp number at that time I gave her my id., Priority Club Members card, and credit card and ask for a room that had a good bed, not next to elevator ice machine and on a upper floor was told a room was not ready would be about 1 hr. so I said ok and that I would be back to get my room. Went I come back was not welcome again as a Priority Club Members, was not given there club member welcome bag for Priority Club Members had to ask for the internet code was told that the beds were air beds so when my wife and I went to bed about midnight we thought it was a very bad bed was going to move some other hotel and not stay the second night but ask some gusts if they had very bad beds one said yes and one no we have a air bed in our room When I got back to my room I called the front desk and was told yes your room has a air bed I ask yew I was not told about the air bed and where is the control for it, was told it is on the bed or night stand I said not it is not here was then told look on floor so I started looking for it and found it on the floor way under the bed (how are you to know that the bed is a air bed if not told at check in or the control is not on the bed or night stand !!!!!!!!!!!) so we changed our mines and stayed our second night there We were gone part of the day, came back at 3 PM the maid was cleaning a room down the hall from our room so told her to nock no door and we would leave so she could clean the room but she never came so call front desk to ask if they were going to clean the room or not said will send someone back up to clean it when they show up we left so not to be in the way Came back bed was made, new towels, soap it tub, toilet, sink did not vacuum floor Very unsatisfied with this hotel over all room stains on carpet, slow drains, not working bath fan, very hard to open sliding glass door Bed even after finding out it was an air bed still was a bad bed Should have move to some other hotel when came back and room was not cleaned I have been a long time user of your hotel ‘s but if this is how your running the hotel’s I we be think about using some other hotels for my stay’s Don’t you inspect you hotel for welcoming people at check in, cleanliness of rooms, hall, elevator and over all look of your hotel that have your name on them I now this one was being remolded I have done remolding of many hotels and keep the place clean is # 1 staying out of the way of people #1 not closing down one elevator and having one clean and one in use that is striped and looks bad to your customers dp October 25, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely Poor Service Unfortunately, I bet on the name and the previous experience, but in this case I was completely and utterly disappointed. There was a roach in my bathroom and the front desk tried to convince me it was a cricket. Refused to take care of the roach and I had to request then to switch our room. There was only one elevator working, which was indeed a service elevator. On the way down, I waited to get down and a lady jumped out out of breath, her pulse racing and eyes about to pop. She announced having been stuck on the service elevator for 5 mins between the floors. The manager happened to walk by and denied the elevator didn't work. Not a single apology for the roaches, not a single apology for the elevator. Very rude staff. October 18, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must Stay Here!!!!! I stayed at this hotel for the tough mudder in Paige,TX it's an hour drive from this hotel and a very convient loctaion; by the highway. The staff was very nice and helpful with directions to the resturants and other sites, the room were amazing, clean and spaceous, the price was perfect; I appreciated that they made a discount for the tough mudder partipents, they had a bar and served food (I wasn't able to use these amenities, but will next time) and the beds.....I only have one thing to say about the beds SLEEP NUMBER MATTRESS!!!!!! Yes the room that I got had a sleep number mattress. Not only did I sleep all night but i woke up rested and ready to concur tough mudder the next day. I will be back next year. October 11, 2012
