The bed was less than comfortable. The sheets smelled like they were brand new and something on them irritated my eyes. The room smelled musty. The ice machine was broken and looked as though it had been vandalized.
For this price, stay somewhere else.

The hotel seems updated, though there are some ceiling tiles that need to be replaced in the hallways. Overall, the hotel and room seemed great, but we missed the turn around at our exit and discovered the neighborhood around the hotel is questionable at best. The hotel has multiple police cars patrol the grounds throughout the evening for the safety of their guests. While that might reassure some, it was a bigger testament of why we would book at a different location during our next trip to Austin.

The second time I have stayed at this Holiday. The first time the A/C did not work very well. The second time the bed was uncomfortable, bathroom towel hook fell off the door, cleaning staff was not very friendly. I rather stay at another hotel next time.

Our room did not have enough towels for the number of people, who had registered at least 6 weeks ago. The phone did not work and the bathtub did not look like it had been maintained....a huge leak and rings around the tub. We chose not to use it.

All the way from Idaho. Loved the city and the festivities. The smell of the hotel is the only concern. Get the Penthouse suite or don't stay!

From the moment I checked into the hotel, I was greeted by courteous hotel front desk staff. The hotel lobby area was warm and inviting. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel bar staff were very hospitable and provided great service. The food was fresh and tasty. Overall, a great stay at this Holiday Inn!

This was my first time in Austin. I really enjoyed the experience and the hotel was great. Room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. There was a problem at first (I was given the key to a room that was occupied) but when I went back to the front desk the staff could not have been more helpful and apologetic and a little horrified (the man answered the door sans clothes!) Ha...the hotel staff gave me coupons for 4 free breakfasts for my stay and my granddaughter and myself dined at the wonderful breakfast buffet. It was great!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a good experience for the most part. The elevators were under construction which, in itself was not a problem, but one elevator was not running at all. Since there was a conference at the hotel it was difficult to get to our room at the close of each session, waiting in line for quite some time. We also tried the dinner buffet and the food was disappointing at best. I would recommend eating elsewhere if you are staying at this hotel. Once the elevator renovatiion is complete, I do believe this will be a very good hotel at which to stay.

Had a great stay and slept well. Wish all rooms had the refrigerators in them so I would not be limitied to 8th and 9th floor. One elevator was not working which held us up some since I was there for an ATAAC convention. will be back next year

Even though this hotel was in the process of remodeling, all of the personnel strived to provide excellent care of all the members of our organization. They provided breakout rooms.
The rooms were clean and quiet. No noise was heard from a-joining rooms.
I would stay in the hotel again when I am in Austin.

I attended a meeting of 200 ladies from around the state of Texas and the hotel is a great venue for meetings! The meeting rooms were great, the food was wonderful for all meals and the service was excellent! This is all to say nothing about how nice the individual rooms were for our overnight stay of 2 nights. I cannot say enough about how great the overall experience was - and there was nothing that I could possibly say a negative word about. Great job, Holiday Inn Midtown Austin! We will probably be back next year for the same event... Thank you for a great experience!

My stay in at the HI Midtown was for business but in the evenings I was able to relax in my huge room. They are in the middle of remodling the whole building and what has been completed is great. Looking forward to seeing the finished product as I will spend 3 - 5 days during each of the next 6 months as a guest.

The number bed is awesome, along with the night light above the headboard & the personnel reading light was just right ,The temperature was comfortable. The staff was excellent. The bar was great, The room was spacious. The balcony was okay, if it had a better view.

I was in town for surgery at the local hospital. The staff and management went above and beyond to make sure that i was comfortable, picked me up at the hospital, and more. Jared was especially wonderful--many many thanks to him. The nighttime waitress was also great and always took care of me, as did the front desk.
The only negative was that I required bellhop service on my last day to help with teh bags. the security guard was supposed to help and took over 30 minutes at 5:30 AM. He was horrible. I could actually hear the front desk person (who was great) page him and he'd tell her he was on my floor, but he WASN'T. He almost caused us to miss our flight.

First of all, it was a slow day for the hotel, hardly anyone there because of Thanksgiving. Despite that fact, they gave us a room with a step up shower which I did not request. I asked for one with a bathtub and said there was non available. I also asked if there should be a refrigerator like what it showed on the website and was told that some rooms have it. There's a $10 charge if I want one in my room which I declined. Since I booked this through Priceline, I was under the impression that they don't they give the same service had I booked it directly with Holiday Inn. I'm a Priority Club member and have had very good experiences before esp when they know I'm a member. But this time was very disappointing.

Staff was super!
Location easily accessible.
The room was fair for cleanliness when we first arrived but got better before we left.
The carpet was very dirty and stained.
The food was fair for vegans. Absolutely delicious for regular dieters ( according to my husband.)

They use sleep number beds they are awful its like sleeping on a air mattress and the middle caves in so you have to sleep on the edge to stay flat. I also asked for a day and a half which they said was fine they did it before but when I went to cash out they said it was to late it was 9pm that is a day and a half and I had left at 8pm last time with no issue. So I was charged 2 nights. And when I went to check in I gave them my card they said it doesnt work so I gave them another card they said it didnt work so my husband gave his card then it went through but when the bill came the charges where on the 2 cards I had given them that they said didnt work. So I was stressed thinking someone was using my cards had to make phone calls to ensure I wasnt a vicim of fraud. They wasted my time took more money then they said and I didnt even sleep well.

We enjoyed our stay. Our only issue was the pillows. They were very small...smaller than standard size. Glad we each got two. When I asked for others, I was told they were the only ones they have. Oh well.
