Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Has potential, but not yet The outer appearance says it all. It has potential, but is not one of the best hotels I've visited in Austin. The staff was friendly, but with false fire alarms, they appeared a bit incompentent as how to handle guests. The rooms looked good, but the beds were not the most comfortable. I did not get a good night sleep either night I was there. April 30, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to get to, but worth it It is not right on one of the main roads, but can be visited easily enough. The parking was in short supply, so if you get there later, you will walk a bit in the parking lot. Felt very safe however as there were easily a dozen state police cars there staying as well. The hotel staff was very friendly for check in and service. I had to do some laundry and the things I needed were easily attained (quarters, and free detergent pods.) They have a full bar and limited menu, but both were very good. The room I had was on the second floor, just off from the elevator atrium. The downfall to this was that it echoes up. So, I was able to hear conversations on the ground floor as if they were right outside my own room which was annoying. April 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel with awful service I booked 4 rooms at this hotel for 2 nights, traveling with a group of high school journalists and my own family. Upon arrival, we were told that all rooms were dirty and had to wait 30 minutes in a busy lobby before being allowed to check in to rooms on different floors. Hotel was nice and clean, as expected but there were dozens of drunken guests on each floor after 9 pm both nights - loud, boisterous guests - not a place for children. On night 2, they had booked an event which took all the parking spaces - not only did they not have an alternate solution, but the night desk clerk cussed loudly at me and was extremely rude when I asked what our options were. Coffee bar staff refused to make change for a $20 so I could tip their breakfast waiter. We were met with rudeness from almost every staff member. Hotel would have been great if it weren't for the staff and the loud drunken guests who partied all night, and ended up setting off the fire alarms at 5 am. Would never stay here again.
