Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good stay This particular chain is in the process of renovating into another hotel chain. As a result, there was loud construction going on inside and outside of the hotel, and my room and the floor I was on smelled like paint thinner. It wasn't just a mild smell. It was really STRONG. Another guest checked out early because of this, and I was a bit appalled at how the front desk clerk handled his complaint. She wasn't rude, but she said that it would be up to the manager as to whether or not he would get his refund, and she reminded him that the hotel had posted their renovations to their website. That may be the case, but I don't remember seeing any notifications. I wouldn't have stayed here if that was the case. At any rate, the room was comfortable, but it was hard to sleep with the smell. I woke up with a headache. The front desk clerk had a difficult time keying my cards and I had to go downstairs repeatedly to get them fixed. The location isn't the best, and the whole place felt dingy and claustrophobic. Perhaps things will be better once their renovations are completed. One can only hope. March 2, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Treat Your Priority Members Better I spend a lot of time at IHG properties and have been a Platinum member for the better part of a decade. As a whole, the customer service is excellent. This night, however, was painfully awful. Let me get on my high horse here for a second. There are nicer hotel chains out there but I have been loyal to IHG for a long time largely in part to the customer service and perks of being Platinum. So, when we checked in and I wasn't recognized as a Platinum member, it seemed a little odd. I can't remember the last time that happened. As a platinum member you are supposed to be offered a free upgrade based upon availability and 500 bonus points or a "goody" bag. I was offered none of these. In fact, there was not even a "thank you for staying with us," or anything like that. All that she said was that there was construction going on in the hotel but they wouldn't be working the next day. Then we went up to our room to find that she put is in a room literally directly next to where the construction was going on. Seriously, our room was right next to a huge tarp hanging in the hall. No big deal, they won't be working tomorrow morning. Then we walk into our room which was really nice. Good sized room and you can tell they have been recently renovated. Downsides....the lock on the door was broken and the temperature in the room would not get below 74 degrees. The next morning we were woken up by the sound of drills and hammers at about 8:00. So much for the construction not happening that morning. I'm not coming back here and this was a truly disappointing experience with a brand that I've been loyal to for a long time. February 19, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business Travel This Hotel is currently undergoing construction changes that will have a huge impact on the overall apearance and function of the Hotel. Even with all the construction going on, I was able to have an excellent night sleep, as it is pretty quiet at night. I did not however, care for the restaurant. It was a ways away and food was mediocre. It will be in a much better location after construction is finished and I am willing to give it another try after relocation. February 17, 2015
