Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and convenient to downtown area. My husband and I stayed for three nights. The hotel is an old hotel, that if were renovated a little more would be a excellent place to stay. Our room was in the front towers which faced the expressway. It was very noisy and caused three sleepless night. The beds were comfortable, but the expressway noise was quit loud. The bathroom area was divided into two areas with no way to turn the lights off during the middle of night without disturbing your partner. On the whole the room was large, clean, and mostly comfortable. All the staff was great, friendly and efficient. Would stay again. July 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Power-less and Power-full The night that I spent was a different experience for me. The front desk staff was absolutely exceptional! Not only did they engage in conversation, they listened, they made recommendations, and they showed a great deal of excitement to hear about my experiences after returning from a night out on the City. They truly went out of their way to make it a great spite of an unfortunate circumstance. After returning from a live recording of a concert at Austin City Limits, I discovered that the power was out in the hotel on a 90+ degree night. Working in the electrical industry, I quickly realized that this was no fault of the Holiday Inn. A component from the utility feed to the hotel failed and was difficult for the power company to diagnose, since this is not a common thing to have happen. Knowing that this was an inconvenience to its guests, the restaurant bar provided free drinks to the guests while the issue was being resolved and they also provided a free breakfast buffet to all of the guests. The room was a little outdated and the sink did not have the best hot water pressure, however the staff made this hotel experience a fantastic one. I have never experienced better service from a hotel staff in my life! June 27, 2014
