Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Imberlad Noisy wedding party spoilt stay.
Asked for quiet room - instead given one almost above a busy wedding party which spilled over to the open court below. Noisy party went on to midnight. We should have been allocated a room on the opposite side of the corridor overlooking the lawns - if impossible we should have been contacted in advance to discuss. We were unable to sleep until the early hours and felt exhausted for the rest of the weekend. As a consequence this represented poor value to us. We had intended moving on - instead we went home to recover.

We were led to believe when booking our reservation that we would be allocated a fully equipped disabled room. This was not the case, there were no toilet rails to enable my wife to get on and off the toiled unaided and whilst the bath level had been lowered, my wife who is unable to stand unaided found it impossible to climb into the bath where the shower was situated. A complaint was lodged with the Hotel management and we are awaiting a response.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by StevePPP Never Again - Worst Holiday Inn I've Ever Visited
Room was not what I paid for. Asked for a king with sofabed, got a double with no sofabed.
I was told no other rooms available.
Result? Got no sleep in the bed and had to move to the floor. I did not pay to go camping, I paid for a hotel.
Will never be staying at this Holiday Inn again, and am now very reluctant to book with Holiday Inn anywhere.
Avoid if possible.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by CH2013 Lack of staff and not great value
Admittedly we arrived around midnight on a Saturday night (after a function), but having to ask at the bar for reception staff wasn't a great start. The room was fine - bed pretty comfortable, bathroom dated but clean, other furnishings reasonable. We were not terribly impressed with breakfast - the food was OK, but again there was a shortage of staff so we had to wait for a table while the three people on duty struggled with a backlog of tables covered with dirty plates, and then we had to ask for various items on the buffet to be replenished. I wouldn't have minded if it had been cheap - but I didn't feel it was especially good value for what we got.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by crumbs Comfortable beds
Hubby and I have stayed several times at the Holiday Inn Aylesbury usually very comfortable, although we would prefer to have a sepete shower as I now find it difficult to climb over a bath, so this was a dissavantage to myself. Also I forgot to request a ground floor room, so not having a lift made it very difficult with our luggage, we were on holiday for two weeks alternating between Aylesbury and Shrewsbury. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choices for both meat eaters and vegetarians, if a little exspensive. I think the bathroom could have been cleaned a little better, perhaps in need of refurbishing. Nevertheless we will choose to stay at the Hotel again when we are visiting our daughter. On this occassion we had several family members and friends staying at the holtel with us and I thinkd they were reasonble satisfied, regardless of one or two hicups with the room for our dissabled member of our family.

Really pleased with the quality of our one night stay. Checking in early was no problem, lunch snack in the bar was tasty... then we returned after the wedding we had attended in the afternoon / evening to our comfortable room and en-suite. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Staff were very attentive and charming. We would highly recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is average and choice could be better, particularly for healthy options. A very good gym, pool and steam/sauna. Rooms comfortable but a little dated. Short drive to Aylesbury town centre. There are some excellent pubs in the nearby area.
Biggest disappointment was the advert for free wifi. 256k free, anything faster has to be paid for. 3G is quicker. Overall I would recommend the hotel.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gemma27 Breakfast poor
I stayed at this holiday inn for my friends wedding. I was not aware of the extortional priced breakfast!!! No where on the website or breakfast menus does it advertise the price of £15.99 per day, regardless if its a bowl of cereal or a full works cooked meal! Not impressed at all, plus it was tasteless and burnt! Would not recommend it to anyone instead go into town!

H ave stayed at the H.Inn Aylesbury for three periods this year and will be staying again later this month. One constant complaint concerns B'fast. The cooked food is invariably cold and the automatic Toaster either under toasts on one insertion or burns on two.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ShirleyInTheSun Disappointing stay
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Aylesbury twice before and this time we were very disappointed with our stay. The only positive things were the comfort and cleanliness of our room. The hotel seemed to be hosting numerous functions such as weddings over the weekend we stayed there, without having the necessary resources to manage everything. We booked for dinner, bed and breakfast months in advance, and the first night we waited over an hour for our food, with two young children in the restaurant. After we ate our main course, we then waited a further half hour for our desserts to arrive. When we complained we were told some of the kitchen staff were ill. Then the second night we were told we couldn't use the restaurant until after 8.30pm due to a party of people having a buffet in there, so we'd have to eat in the bar, off the bar menu. And we were told we should hurry and order or there'd be a long wait for our food. We didn't even get to have desert that night. Also, there is very little choice on the menus available to those on DBB, without having to pay a supplement. Our other complaint is that there is no free Wi-Fi available anywhere in the hotel, not even in the lobby. Overall, we felt we were not treated as valued customers/guests and this negative experience has unfortunately led us to decide not to use this hotel in the future.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Loo71 Noisy exec room
Stayed for two nights at the end of July. Booked an exec room as there were no family rooms available.
There room allocated was on the ground floor, Room 174. Unfortunately every movement the occupant above us made was heard in the room we were in. For us this meant being awoken at midnight and then again at 2am for both nights.
Breakfast on the first night was dissapointing with cold food and limited choice. Was informed they had a big group, this resulted in no mushrooms, no tomatoes, no hash browns and no scrambled eggs.
Breakfast on the second morning all that was promised.

A very comfortable quiet stay at good prices.
Pity about the outrageous charges for internet usage. Should be included in room price as in 20 other hotels we've stayed in during this trip.

The pool and fitness suite indicate being open to 10pm, however on trying to gain entry to the pool at 9.30pm for a quick swim i was told 'last entry 9.15' , i understand staff have to clean down at the end of the day but i feel the advertised closing time of the facility should be amended to avoid disappointment.
I did speak to the duty manager who could offer no explanation other than Health & Safety..
Other than the above our stay was fine and pleasant bar staff and receptionist.

We stayed here as a family group as a base for a friends wedding. The hotel staff and service given were exceptional. The leisure facility was well set up and the restaurant food was beautiful.
2 best features - the central lounging area in the beautiful sunshine and the pancake machine at breakfast.

I use this hotel often as I have business in Slough and the surrounding area. I would rather travel 45 minutes and stay here than in any hotel in Slough.
The staff are a great credit to the management of this hotel, it is obvious that training and customer focus are top of the agenda.
This management team haven't lost sight of the overall customer experience of staying in a hotel.
I have used this hotel for over 2 years and still see the same staff as the first day I stayed and they still smile and have time for a nice 'hello'

We spent a weekend at the hotel for a Family reunion. The staff were friendly and helpful and attentative to our needs. The food in the restaurant was good and on our second night a private room and buffet was provided. The standard of the buffet was excellent and the dedicated waiting staff were professional and nothing was too much trouble. Well done Holiday Inn.

I stay here frequently and I always feel at home here. The staff are great, the rooms are comfortable and very clean. It is an half an hour from where I need to be when I come up to stay and there are hotels closer but none that have all this place has to offer and at a great price.

We had a good night's sleep and appreciated the quiet surroundings.
Compared with other recent stays in Holiday Inns it appeared more dated. A minor comment is that there were no soap dispensers in the en-suite.

Visit spoilt by the very cold public areas on both evenings.
Despite many guests complaining nothing appeared to by done to increase the temperature and therefore the ambience of these areas. The temperature was so low we went to our room to watch television instead of enjoying a drink after our dinner.
Otherwise no further complaint.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thedorsetdriver Overall better than others, bed too small!!!!
I just wish Holiday Inn could use larger beds, anyone above six foot, me, find them very small. Some other hotel (budget brands) provide bigger beds, and In America Holiday Inn do. Let's try it in the UK please.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by K8rus Comfortable stay very clean and spacious room!
We chose this hotel as we were going to amputee games at Stoke Mandaville and it was close by.
We had phoned to make sure a disabled room was available with wet room. The person we spoke to assured us there was. On arrival however we were told no rooms at Holiday Inns had wet rooms.
Obviously we were concerned as being disabled certain facilities are required.
The receptionist assured us that the room was big and the bath was low with shower above. When we saw the room it was huge as was bathroom and we were happy it suited our needs. If another disabled person is looking to stay here, as long as you can get in low bath, there are rails and handles around to help, toilet is high and there are help cords in bed room and bathroom.
The disabled parking paces are not the ones nearest to entrance which we found strange but not miles away.
The reception team on arrival were extremely helpful and polite and bent over backwards to accommodate us.
We would stay here again
