Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very good value for money
This place was clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not only was breakfast included, but they offered free tea/coffee all day long! The free shuttle bus came in handy a few times and the driver was always helpful. It was within walking distance of Baltimore Harbour if your like to walk, but otherwise the bus was available. Happy to use again if I come back to the area.

it would be wonderful to offer bathrobes, a glass rather than paper or styrofoam and a silverware set.

We would like to thank you for the warm welcome we received by Patricia at the front desk when we arrived. She went above and beyond to welcome us to Baltimore! There was another woman at the front desk also that we would like to thank for her kindness, unfortunately we did not get her name. We were in Baltimore for pleasure. The Inner Harbor is approx. a 5 block 10 min walk. The hotel is clean, the breakfast had everything you need from eggs to yogurt, fruit. etc. We walked everywhere but one night we used the shuttle bus to take us into the Inner Harbor. The driver was excellent and was so kind to avoid all the congested areas to get us to the restaurant on time for our reservation. All in all we would definitely return to Baltimore and DEFINITELY stay at this Hotel. Thank you everyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 parking
The only problem was not being told about not always enough parking spots for parking first come only We had to park on street
with a company car and had to worry about that after driving 6 hours and worried about surgery on Monday.
Besides that all other was great.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HappyGuy1237 Excellent Staff
My wife was at JHU hopital for a week and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.
Ok..the negatives...the vending machines were not refilled daily. The Internet was tempermental. The neighborhood was kind of scary. Parking limited. Nothing in the neighborhood to eat or do.
Even with those negatives let me say I will never stay at another hotel when I go to Baltimore. Highlight was the staff. Always a smile. Always postive. I felt at home. I felt welcomed. By the end of the week we were friends on a first name basis. They did everything they could possibly do to help me with my anxieties associated with my wife's surgery. The shuttle service was incredible. I called...and they were right there to pick me up and take me back to the hotel. Never one minute late. Always a smile and a word of encouragement.
The room was very clean and comfortable. I slept like a baby. I called for delivery of food and it was great food that arrived in 20 minutes....every single time. The bed was very cozy.
Like I said...this is my hotel in Baltimore for now on. This staff deserves an award.

Comfortable, very reasonable, and very courteous and comforting staff. The shuttle will take you to hospital and food places (since there are none near the hotel) accept for a small restaurant across the street.
Wifi and refrigerator and microwave were so needed and excellent. My husband had to drink soup all day before his surgery and I could heat it up right there in his room! And for me, there was take out available from local restaurants. I was very happy

We were here for a medical appointment at JohnsHopkins. It was very close and the shuttle took us there and picked us up without any problems. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will be returning for surgery soon and plan to stay and recover here for about 3 days before heading back to NC. Thank you for making my stay so nice.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by chihon FRIENDLY STAFF BUT BAD PARKING
I did not realize that the hotel only has 15 parking spots, because I did not book directly with the hotel, instead I went through the website. The hotel is in a not so good neighborhood and I was told that I had to park in the street. Luckily I arrived on a Fri night and there were plenty of empty spaces in front of the hotel, but I had to move my car before noon. The staff was friendly and helped me find a parking spot as well as offering several take out menus (as there is no restaurants nearby).

Just wish that it was not first come first serve! After arriving around 10 pm there are never any parking spots in the parking lot. We have a four hour trip and do not like parking along the street. You need to accommodate those arriving later in the evening.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Droop73 A comfortable stay.
We stayed for a long weekend for a convention in the Baltimore Convention Center and found the location convenient for either walking or driving. The availability of the free shuttle service made it even more pleasurable. The inn is a repurposed, very old Baltimore bank. Just amazing on the inside. Staff was excellent as was the room. Parking can be an issue as the lot is smallish, but in all fairness the inn was booked solid for the convention, so normally I bet parking in their lot is more available. If you are used to cities the surroundings won't be a bother, But, if you are a rural type the street characters might put you off some. We were close to Johns Hopkins Hospital too for families that need to be there. Again, the shuttle will get you there quickly too. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by friendjack My stay at Hoilday Inn express
I found my last stay at Hoilday In Express to be by far my worst experience with the change of hotels. I would not recommend ths Hotel to anyone traveling on vacation or business. I has no conviences such as parking (which is very important). It is not near any of the attractions and it is in a area that appears very unsafe.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NapoliKid I keep coming back
For the past 6 or more years, this has been my go-to hotel whenever I need to be in Baltimore for business. (Recently tried another, more expensive, big chain hotel in "Charm City" for a holiday getaway, and I was sorely disappointed by the room and price comparison.) Rooms are large and spotless, bathrooms large and spotless, great convenience with coffeemaker, microwave and fridge in room, and more. The value for the money here just can't be beat. And, I love the fact that it's a re-purposed bank building.

Insufficient parking at this property. Had a prior reservation but could not check-in until after 7:00 PM at which time there were not any parking spaces available. Required to park on the street a distance from the hotel. This was not good because I had just returned fron John Hopkins Hospital following outpatient surgery.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SmoothJazzPhotographer Nightmare from start to finish
This was a nightmare experience for me and my family. Another family on the first floor shared our horrid experience. The positives.. The lobby was really nice, the breakfast was good, and the shuttle service and driver were excellent. The negatives.. The area did not seem secure, parking became a fiasco, noise was a major issue and managements response was subpar.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Laura8989 Not so good neighborhood
We arrived after dark to this hotel and the neighborhood did not seem the best. I did not feel comfortable leaving the hotel. The gentleman at the desk was not the friendliest and attempted to tell me that there were no available parking spots, even though both cars that arrived were parked in lots. He told me that there was a truck and trailer coming later that night. I reminded him that I was told first come first serve. He asked me to walk outside with him to see where I was parked. Eventually the lady, who I did not realize was an employee there, told him that she could find us two slots. Originally when I made my reservation I was told that there is a lot across the street for free parking after 6pm to 8am. This is not true. There is only street parking!!!!!!! The room was fine, but we did not leave it all night long!!!!!
