Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by buffet dinner in need of improvement Staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are as expected, clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. One comment is that the buffet offered is not as good as expected, limited selection and also food quality is not really good. Roast chix is tough and bland, cakes are dried, not moist, bread n butter pudding doesnt have any butter taste ... there was a thai curry chix, bland.. the cooking station, had spaghetti, disappointed too. This hotel is well located in central of Bangkok with easy access to major local attraction. Most importantly, staff will make you feel like you are at home. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good locafion but overshadowed by Intercontinental next door Great location as it is situated within 1 min to public transport ( train), you are able to address all of Bangkok attractions. The rooms are adequate, very clean and they do recognize Platinum members. The value of dollar is OK( means more money to spend on other attractions). Note, a few feet away, is the Intercontinental and there is a world of difference ( think Mercedes S-Class level) vs. the Holiday Inn Bangkok ( Mercedes E-Class level). I stayed in both while in Bangkok and I would be fine staying in either hotel. November 16, 2014
