I have stayed in over 200 Holiday Inn brand hotels and I had an issue come up with a card I used to book the room online. I won't get into the complicated issue, but one of the Manager's (Tina) put it on herself to solve this problem. While it ended up being a bank issue, she recognized where they could have improved my experience, apologized and made me feel valued as a customer of the chain, and as a frequent customer of her hotel.
I had an identical issue at another hotel in NY 5 days later and they not only gave me the cold shoulder, but offered no concern or support. I was shocked and ready to give up on the company.
If it weren't for Tina, I would be considering a different hotel chain after more than 6 years of staunch loyalty. This hotel staff has always been friendly and kind. They have even recognized me in the past and given me a warm welcome when checking in late with family or for work. It always feels like home.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Great new renovated bathrooms too!

i am a clean freak and the first thing i noticed was that the front desk area smelled and looked clean. the staff was very friendly and checked us in and brought extra towels quickly. the room was spacious and clean and had 2 comfortable queen beds.
the price was very good. we enjoyed it. thank you.

Room was reasonably comfortable but quite far to walk to the front desk and restaurant. Food for breakfast was acceptable but the service was not good.

I am a frequent guest due to business. While I do not relish being away from home as much as I am, the welcoming staff at this hotel is great. Friendly, helpful, go out of their way to make me comfortable. Thank you to all.

It's pretty good if the only thing bad you have to say about aroom is the TV controller could use a new battery.
Good stay handy to where I was visiting.

The only problem we had was that our room was not cleaned by late afternoon and had to call the front desk to have it cleaned. They already knew we were there for 3 nights, yet this inconvenience had to happen.
Not impressed at all.

Just a weird hotel...I arrived, unpacked my suitcase and walked to the front desk, like I have done at every other Holiday Inn I have ever been to. Apparently, that's not how it's done here. You check in first, then go back out to your car and drive around to whichever wing your room is on and then unpack and settle in. I wasn't going to re-pack, then unpack, so I just tried to walk directly to my room. No go! The building wings aren't labeled and your room key only works on your assigned building's door. While the clerk tried to be helpful and was cheery, I still had to send Hubs ahead to key into our building and open our assigned building's door for me - time consuming and annoying. Then there was the issue of the all-night poker tournament in the meeting rooms. So all night loud, drunk, obnoxious ppl bounded off the elevator and down the hall belting out the injustice they just suffered in their poker games and loudly comiserating with their equally drunk and loud buddies. I'm not sure but I think I heard security pound on a door or two in the night and ask them to keep it down but I was so tired and it was all so loud at that point that I really don't remember. Very nice.

Hotel staff was rude and not very interested in making my stay comfortable. As a Platinum member and frequent customer of Holiday Inn I expected a much better experience, no upgrade & no gift package or free breakfast and when I asked if they had my status the reply was 'Yup we have it" and that was it... no thanks for being a Platinum member like most hotel receptionist will offer up. After this stay it may be a while before I use Holiday Inn again, thats unfortunate for them as I travel weekly for work. Room assigned to me was old and dingy.... NOT VERY IMPRESSED.

Stayed in room 310. Jamie the girl who maintains the room does
an excellent job. Nice to have a clean, new room to stay in.
We had stayed in alot of Hotels and this was far one of the
cleanest. Thanks Jamie,keep up the excellent work girl !
All staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I don't know how they do it but I always get a room in my favorite part of the hotel. My cell is very weak in the Bangor, ME area and the only part of the hotel were it will work is top floor facing north. It is very important that I have cell during my stays for business purposes. It might seem like a minor thing to most but the staff at the Holiday Inn in Bangor, ME are VERY accommodating. Thank You!

Our stay was very comfortable, the staff excellent and helpful. We preferred the lounge for dining over the dining room. The pop corn in the lounge was a special treat and their French Onion Soup outstanding! Service excellent. Food in dining room was good, coffee served immediately, but we waited 15 minutes before our breakfast order was taken. There were two other tables with customers eating during the time we were there for breakfast. Overall, we were very satisified.

We stayed here so we could visit Acadia Natl park the next day. Staff was wonderful, hotel was decorated in great taste and room was very clean. It is close to downtown Bangor, staff was great, and breakfast was generous portions. Would absolutely stay here again!
