good hotel ,responsive staff ,several new to property, weather was horrible front desk offered another nights stay if weather didn't break.

This is the best looking and best designed hotel in the area. The lobby is spacious, new and well decorated as are the rooms. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and Kim in the restaurant/pub is always smiling and attentive. Had no problems with internet at all. This is the 4th hotel in the area I've stayed at and the only one I'll come back to. the others were nice enough but poorly lit with old furniture that needs to be replaced. Don't even bother staying anywhere else.

Called while driving to visit family in North Carolina - I called Holiday Inn Express - needed a pet friendly location - and was sent to Barboursville Holiday Inn. It was an instant connection and the staff was great all the way through. My dog - Alecia - and I had a great one night's stay - and resumed our travels rested and refreshed. JAH

I am a frequent guest. It's a great hotel with great service at an awesome location. The only negative is that the breakfast buffet is slipping. The eggs are cold and overcooked, same for the bacon and sausages.

We waited over an hour for our dinner and we had a hefty bill for such poor service.
I think the reservation agent's name was Charlie and he was awesome!
Overall hotel was average
