Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hotel needed to be updated While the rooms were clean and the staff was great, we were disappointed by several things, first the shower head was so small that the water was not strong in coming out. Also for the amount we paid and then to have to pay another almost 9 dollars for breakfast buffet when we stayed at another one of your hotels in Monroe NC and for the same price as your had a wonderful breakfast just like yours included. Also the one we stayed in NC was newer and fresher. August 18, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Odor and next to a strip joint The room smelled like sewage the entire time I was there. I avoided being in the room because of the smell. When I woke up I felt like throwing up. You could also clean the floors. I hate seeing globs of hair on the floor and other things. It's just gross. Also if I had know it was next to a "gentlemen's Club" /strip joint - be real with yourselves people. I never would have stayed there. August 2, 2014

Pool could have been a bit warmer, but it has been a cool summer... Rooms were clean and quiet, just the way one would expect them to be. Breakfast area offers a decent buffet for a reasonable cost. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by July 21 through 24 Stay Pros: ~Very Friendly & Effective Professional Desk and HouseKeeping Staff ~Location for Travel is excellent ~Dining Opportunity Choices ~Very Clean in our Suite ~WiFi was fast enough ~Amenities were available and nice Cons: ~That loud disruptive "House of Ill Repute" that is adjacent to the Hotel makes night sleeping difficult. Loud drunks and such types seem to never sleep. (This is NOT the Hotels fault. Just very bad luck, especially if staying on the East Side in a suite.) However it is indeed interesting, to watch the local law enforcement do a 5 car raid at 2:30 a.m. with a front row window seat. ~The restaurant for (breakfast) should be clearly avoided. This has been a constant problem for years with poor quality food and very slow service. ~Beware ... this is a "Pet Acceptance Hotel". So check your room carefully from our little friends from previous stays that may have cuddled or oozed in your cozy comforter. We love our dog, just not in our bedroom. ~The specific floor we requested with reservations had already been issued to other guests, even though we arrived at 2:15 p.m. ~There also has been an interesting change in some guest cliental from just last year. This change may or may not be pleasing, depending upon individual choices ? July 30, 2014

The fitness center is really nice too. The breakfast is great but is not free. In fact it is very overpriced. There are some free options but they don't tell you that so you really have no idea until the waitress hands you a bill. That is the only negative. July 21, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by enjoyable room Arrived right at check in time and was told room wouldn't be ready for another 30 min.Really enjoyed the room once we got into it. It was very spacious and clean, the double sink was a nice touch. As the night went on from around 8-11 we could hear people down on the patio being extremely loud. When we returned later that evening the door to our room was not fully closed and unlocked. The room had been serviced. July 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast I have stayed at other Holiday Inns where the breakfast did offer "hot" foods, cereal, juice, milk, etc. I was very disappointed that customers had to pay $9 for the hot breakfast. That is very expensive. It needs to be free for guests or at a much reduced cost or possibly free for one guest per room. What is offered (muffins, coffee, tea) is an insult to your hotel. Each Holiday Inn I have lodged at offers the hot breakfast free to guest. I was very disappointed, this will be the reason I will not stay again. Also, at check in no information was given about the hotel, such as pool, restaurant, breakfast information, or even where the elevators were. I had to search, ask and look. June 30, 2014

The hotel staff, both front desk staff and cleaning ladies, were friendly and helpful. There was little outside noise, which is important to me. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that I did not enjoy the pillows. June 26, 2014
