Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice The only complaint I have is that the normal rooms have a mix of smoking and non-smoking. As a result, due to health reasons, I had to stay in the Executive Suite which was rather expensive. Overall, lovely place. Staff were wonderful too! November 17, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate The first room that I was assigned was near the smoking rooms and the hallways smelled of cigarettes. Even thought we checked in at 2:50 pm, when we asked to move, the hotel said all the rooms were assigned. I found that odd, since we were not provided the opportunity to pick rooms when reserving. After travelling to the front desk, the clerk said she would need to contact the manager (who was busy) before seeing if I could change rooms. The new room was fine except it didn't have a fridge and we had some things that needed refrigeration. I think staff should let guests know when assigning rooms that they may be near smokers. Better yet, smoking rooms should be eliminated November 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff Just spent a week-end with 173 Lioness ladies for a conference held at this hotel. Every staff was extremely polite and accommodating. One of the elevators was out of order, but that was not an issue, as the staff were more than happy to "carry" all our luggage to the appropriate floors. The staff serving our meals were very efficient and always carried a smile. All the meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and generous. The kitchen manager was always there to oversee, and help out. He even got into the spirit of our convention, by wearing a special tie. This was a great experience, and I wish to thank all the staff at the HOLIDAY INN BARRY HOTEL & CONFERENCE. November 11, 2014
