Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by restoring our faith in humanity. My family and I stayed at the hotel on our first night of vacation on our way to Gulf Shores, Al. The next morning in our haste to get up and get going, my 15 yr old son left his wallet (with all of his vacation money, ids, etc) in the room. He didn't realize it until we were down the road over an hour. I called back to the hotel and the front desk person said she would immediately personally check the room and call me back. She called within about a half of an hour and said she found it and would put it in a bag until we could swing through on our way back home. I asked if the money was still in the wallet and she indicated she didn't know because she hadn't looked in it. Once we picked the wallet up, all of the money was still in there. It was a great lesson for our 15 and 16 year old boys. Thank you for being honest and providing a teaching moment for my family. July 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty, hot As I mentioned before, the bedding was filthy, there AC didn't work well and the noise outside our room was unbearable even after we asked the front desk to address the problem. We have to travel to Batesville several times a year on business and WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THE HOLIDAY INN in BATESVILLE! July 9, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I normally stay at Holiday Inn Express properties and was disappointed in what should have been an "upgraded" hotel. Restaurant service was terrible. There were several small problems with the room, including cleanliness and plumbing issues that took 2 days to correct (I brought them to the attention of staff 2 mornings in a row). I continue to wonder at the conditions I sometimes find at hotels. If management visited each room every once in a while with the eye of someone paying to stay, they would make their patrons much, much happier. All of the items that were not acceptable would have been easily found had anyone cared. There are a number of hotels close by with 1 or 2 new ones going up now. If this property takes this to heart they will thrive even in the face of additional competition. May 28, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wi-Fi signal poor I tried repeatedly to connect to the Wi-Fi to send a business e-mail, both before I went to bed and the first thing the next morning. I checked out and drove to the new hotel on the other side of the interstate. Setting in the parking lot I was able to get on line and send the message I had drafted the night before. May 18, 2014
