As I mentioned before, the bedding was filthy, there AC didn't work well and the noise outside our room was unbearable even after we asked the front desk to address the problem. We have to travel to Batesville several times a year on business and WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THE HOLIDAY INN in BATESVILLE!

Just not worth it - I won't even go into detail here so to save the staff and let them make up something. Grenada is not too far and a much better HIE is there.

I arrived at about 4:00 p.m.on a Friday Afternoon; my room was ready , and I was able to check in efficiently and promptly.
The room was pleasant, the temperature appropriate.
The tv channels were sufficient, everything was comfortable.

I normally stay at Holiday Inn Express properties and was disappointed in what should have been an "upgraded" hotel. Restaurant service was terrible. There were several small problems with the room, including cleanliness and plumbing issues that took 2 days to correct (I brought them to the attention of staff 2 mornings in a row). I continue to wonder at the conditions I sometimes find at hotels. If management visited each room every once in a while with the eye of someone paying to stay, they would make their patrons much, much happier. All of the items that were not acceptable would have been easily found had anyone cared. There are a number of hotels close by with 1 or 2 new ones going up now. If this property takes this to heart they will thrive even in the face of additional competition.

I tried repeatedly to connect to the Wi-Fi to send a business e-mail, both before I went to bed and the first thing the next morning.
I checked out and drove to the new hotel on the other side of the interstate. Setting in the parking lot I was able to get on line and send the message I had drafted the night before.

We have stayed here for a two years. It has always been great ~ staff is helpful, rooms are clean and quiet. Only a few minutes from Oxford.
