The price was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and the service was great. I will certainly be back next time I'm in the Bath area. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parents of Adult Children Beware! My husband and I have made reservations many times for our adult children when they visit our town. We made a reservation online and I gave my credit card information for the deposit. The next day my husband went to the hotel to pay the full amount with his credit card and was told the bill had been paid in full with mine. He asked for a hard copy of the receipt with the confirmation number of the reservation, and received one.Then my son and his wife checked in. He was required to give his card for deposits against extra charges. When he did so, it wiped out my information. My son was told rather rudely on the second day that he was responsible for the remainder of the bill. When he showed them the printed receipt, the desk clerk claimed no knowledge and no record of it. On the third and final day, I called the hotel. Again, the desk clerk claimed no knowledge ("I've been off for the past three days") and was not particularly nice or cooperative until I mentioned their competitor just a mile away. She finally took alternate credit card info and we finally managed to pay the bill. I am most disillusioned with this Holiday Inn. Too much of a hassle and too much time wasted with inefficiency. They don't just take care of your requests they actually try to see if there is something you might need and suggest how they could help you. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by good location The best thing about this hotel was the LOCATION. The pool was oddly amazing as well. The staff was ok. The room was barely ok. They seemed understaffed and the hotel needed major renovations, Although I wasn't really satisfied with anything other than the location and the pool, I would stay again. We were able to go and see everything we were interested in seeing and still get back to the hotel within an hour or so. I do plan to return again in the spring or summer. November 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An excellent hotel to stay in when seeing lighthouses The staff at this hotel from the front desk staff members Morgan and Frances, through the dining room staff of Kira, Zack, and Eileen to the housekeeping people all were excellent and represented the hotelier and brand extremely well. The location was great we were able to see many parts of Maine we had not seen before and visit friends that live in St Georges township all with ease. The beds were comfortable, and the facilities had sufficient outlets to be able to hookup my computer. The only drawback we had was that the internet connection would not stay up or would shutdown without notice. Therefore I used my hot spot to stay connected. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Maine November 2, 2012
