Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't book this for a large crowd The place is not equiped to handle a large crowd. Not enough staff for it. Staff itself very nice. Security crazy yelled at for everything and we filled their hotel and bar everynight. Made a lot of money on us. Why have a balcony, if you can sit out there with a few drinks. Why get a block of rooms when you are scattered all over the place? WE were disturbing other guest--reason for the block--if people wanted a certain room then tell them this is all we have in a row. Why have a wedding there when you can't enjoy it after. Asked for a room to party in months ago didnt have one, all of a sudden they got one. We had 150 guests staying there.Obviously they weren't prepared for a party. When you book a hotel for after a weddiing we can not be responsible for every guest, but this was bad. When I called to complain, she had a different excuse for every complaint blaming us, of course. Also breakfast the next day 45 minute wait, no food in buffet when I got there. June 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Family stop over On our way home from a vacation on the East coast. Saw this hotel on the web and the pictures look good for the kids (ie. pool, play area, etc). Pulling into the parking lot my first reaction was "It looks run-down". I have to say I was a little disappointed. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express going out to our vacation and were very pleased (clean, roomy, good breakfast, etc). Thus I thought staying at this Holiday Inn would be the same. Nope. My overall impression was that this was a Hotel that was renovated on the cheap. You could see where some areas were nice but other areas of the hotel not so nice. Door to the bathroom did not lock or close correctly, old loud a/c blowing cold air, went to the neat pool only to find many wet soggy towels laying all over the area, not a continental breakfast but a sit down breakfast and we got $20 off due to our room rate (this seemed very "old school" and took extra time waiting), people woring around the hotel with their shirts hanging out. and looking unkept. Not mad but just disappointed. Many other cleaner choices for the $$$. June 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room was comfortable, while bathroom showed a lot of usage and could stand an upgrade We called ahead and made a reservation only to find once we checked in we could have gotten the room for less if we had just walked in without a reservation? We also noted that the halls were dark with a lot of stains in the carpet. The back elevator smelled of smoke and had cigarette butts on the floor when we checked in. We we checked out in the morning the cigarette butts were still on the elevator floor. The entire hotel could use an upgrade with additional staff being added. We will be more cautious when checking in with Holiday Inn again. June 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff, sad, tired hotel in need of renovation! all the staff were helpful and nice. That said, this hotel is very old, tired and in need of a major renovation. The hotel is large and creepy, the upholstered chair in our room had a large stain, directions in hallways were terrible, food was pretty bad. Would recommend using only PART of the hotel (it is large) and upgrading. May 21, 2013

The staff was very helpful and made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was a breeze. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting this area of the country. May 21, 2013

A special THANK YOU to the second shift laundress who brought extra shower towels without being asked. (The pool was very busy and all the pool towels were used, so I brought my shower towel) She was very kind and considerate! May 19, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beaver Falls Holiday Inn The location was fine but I wasn't pleased with the room for the cost. For that week this was the third, and most expensive hotel I had stayed in, It was also the oldest and dirtiest. The bathmat in the tub was horrible, I was afraid to step on so I kept my flops on while showering. There was an adjoing room door that looked as though it had been kicked in at some point which made me uneasy and the king sized mattress was way to soft or worn to be comfortable. I wont stay here in future visits to the area.I had stayed in Lexington KY and Berlin OH that week and both hotels were at least $30 - $40 per night cheaper. May 17, 2013

Rooms were comfortable and several in our party commented on how well they slept. Very nice pool area. We ate one meal there. The staff was very cordial - but the place was understaffed. Food was not very good. Would go to Sheetz next time instead of eating here. May 16, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Free Breakfast We stayed both here and at Donegal PA HIEx, and this one was definitely not as nice as the one in Donegal. There were throw-up stains on the carpet and there was no free breakfast as there was in Donegal, even though the price of the room was the same. We received a coupon for breakfast, but it still cost us $25 for the four of us. May 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Maintenence I was late arriving to the hotel. the GPS directions took me way out of the way. I was given a room on the third floor. The hotel is odd shaped and I would have appreciated more direction so that I didn't have to wonder all over looking for my room. Once in my room I notice that the bedding may have been fresh but there was something that appeared as a burn (perhaps from an iron) on the bottom sheet. I also noticed that the door that connects the adjacent room was not locked. It could not be locked. As I looked closer the lock didn't have a cylinder in it. It appeared to have been brocken apart. Because it was so late (12:30am) I was going to ignore it but I thought I should call the front desk and check to see if the ajacent room was occupied. It was. Let me add that I am a woman that travels on business so this was very concerning for me. I will say that the front desk found me a room just a few doors down and the night housekeeper was kind enough to help me to the room. Finallly, I just felt like the hotel can use some up-dating. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly service, beautiful appearance, first class room. This may well be the best motel stay of my whole summer. I have been in many motels and this Holiday Inn was not only the best Hiliday Inn I have ever stayed at but surpassed much newer motels that I have used. The motel was maintained in first class shape in every regard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was far superior to the usual breakfast bar set up now so common even in very expensive motels. The room was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated the pillows. I can't think of any aspect that I could suggest an improvement. April 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff very friendly and accommodating ! We stayed for a night while our son toured Geneva College. Staff were extremely nice and attentive to our needs. Allowed us early check-in since we really didn't have anything to do-our other son got to enjoy the nice pool and gave us a place to relax. A minor problem with the room but when I brought it to desk clerk's attention the staff went "the extra mile" to make sure we were happy. Will definately stay again when in the area. #Beds were comfortable, room temp. easy to regulate, hot water and good water pressure in shower.# Pays to be a priority club member when staying here- gave us a card to choose a couple perks from. Bkft. Buffet was good on Sunday- the waitress was friendly# but didn't point out that kids eat free off the kids menu but child's buffet was less than 4.00 so no big deal.- I had forgotten ! # Overall very pleased ! As a Priority Club member we were able to get a discount on our breakfast the day we checked out plus we were granted late checkout which enabled us to enjoy some swimtime in your nice pool and sauna/hot tub. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast Before I checked out I wanted to have breakfast so I went to the in house restaurant to eat. I looked at the very well done menu and deceided on a waffle. When I received the waffle it ended up being 3 small frozen type waffles and they also tasted like frozen waffles. The real kicker was I had to pay $10.00 for them! What a rip off. January 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tired Property Not much worked well. Could not access the internet at all during my stay. The exercise room no longer has a TV and only one piece of equipment was functional the others were out of order. The heat in the room had no temperature setting, it was either on or off. Too hot to leave on and very cold over night leaving it off. The TV in the room is dark and a little difficult to see. I know it's an older property but there is no place to plug more than one item in; cell-phone or bluetooth, etc. Guest room and bathroom are very dated. I've stayed at this property I believe four times due to it's location in relation to my client. I will search for an alternative in the future. Thanks for listening. January 29, 2013

I was also uncomfortable sitting at the bar and there was young kids (like 8 to 15 years old) running around. I was not happy with the hotel itself but the staff was ok. January 6, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Service It has been a week since I reserved four rooms for our family. We have been doing this for the past ten years. This was the first time I prepaid and guaranteed the rooms. I paid on December 18th for the stay on the 30th on my debit card. You receive an additional discount by doing this. Then the staff never asked for another card when we arrived. I was charged again for four rooms on the 30th. I cannot receive a return call and said they are investigating but their manager won't be in for a week. It s now January 5th and I cannot get a return call. I emailed the information from my bank on Wednesday the 2nd that shows that I paid on the 18th. The staff who answered the phone on the 31st stated that she could see that it was paid on the 18th. It is as if they do not have the money to reimburse me. To make matters worse it is out of my checking account. I called again on the fourth to speak to the manager but left a message. Again no return phone call. I have neer dealt with a hote like this before and am extremely frustrated. I filed a complaint with the corporate office on the fourth and they stated that it would take 48 hours to investigate. Now it has been seven days since they made this error. Not one return call from Beaver Falls Holiday Inn. January 4, 2013

In my room, there were hairs all over the bathroom counter, small bugs on the counter, the ceiling had red and brown spots all over it....God only knows what that was and there were several long hairs stuck to the ceiling. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Thanksgiving Travel Disappointment We stayed here with cousins for Thanksgiving. Seeing them was fun. BUT - our room was not clean; layers of dust on everything from telephone, radio, tabletops, etc. Floor? When was the last time it was cleaned? Yikes! Lesson learned: don't have a holiday dinner at a Holiday Inn restaurant. Terrible and Disgusting hardly describe our special meal. Each plate was served individually.; not family style, which we were led to believe it would be. Not bad in itself. How about at least 10 minutes between each plate being brought out to our table? Cold. Everything on our plates was cold. We were told the plates were filled, them left sitting under heat lamps. Hmmmm... We felt so bad for our only waitress, a very nice British girl. She really worked at making the best of a bad situation. She had no control over managements decisions and the kitchens inability to provide a decent meal. Bottom line: no more family reunions at this Holiday Inn. November 28, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Thankful that I only had to stay one night For the price, it was not worth the money. The beds, room and overall condition of the hotel were pretty bad. Almost like being in a time warp. The bathroom was disgusting, not only amazingly outdated, but actually falling apart and just mildewy and scummy. I felt like I needed to wash off after being in the bathroom, so ended up keeping the bathroom door closed to feel less violated. The staff was ok, however the cleaning crew is sure dictating the morning for the guests, and it's not pleasant either. Shouldn't be bothering people to get them out before check out! This was the worst of the worst HI I stayed at this year. You definitely take a chance booking rooms at Holiday Inn brands over the Holiday Inn Express hotels, I've seen consistently they are higher priced for sub-standard conditions. October 19, 2012
