Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service, great room but expensive and without promised breakfast Booked this room while traveling at the front desk and was able through help of desk staff to get final room in the hotel for the night. The price was pretty steep for the location, but it is probably their busiest time of the year in August. We did enjoy a great room. Were told that breakfast was included at the time of check-in but told the next morning that it was not included. Rather disappointing for the price paid and the broken promise. Due to travel schedule, did not have the time to argue. August 18, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, very comfortable bed and pillows. I stayed for 2 nights due to business meetings in a nearby town. The hotel was very accessible, clean and the staff was very friendly. The cost of the room was a little high but I received a corporate discount which made it more bearable. I was reimbursed for all my expenses so staying at the Holiday Inn was much nicer than I could have afforded. Overall, it was wonderful. I would recommend to anyone. August 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Wonderful nights stay. The Holiday Inn Hotel in Beckley is one of the best and I have traveled extensively as an Engineer across the globe. This is a good one. The only item I would add is a complimentary breakfast which is always nice before tackling the day. I usually do not like to set down to a full service restaurant in the morning due to unknown time restrictions. I strongly endorse this Hotel for a great place to stay and enjoy a great nights sleep. The restaurant had a limited menu (at least late night) but that wasn't a big deal for me as I was not expecting a fine dining experience there. August 7, 2014

From the parking lot to my room, the place was clean and fresh, and the staff quite friendly. Got up to our room and found the same. Slept fairly well - HVAC system is noisy and our window was right by one of the huge lights for the front sign . . . beds were comfortable! August 4, 2014

We were on our way to Chantilly, Va. to take our 6 year old grandaughter home after a 2 week stay in our home in Kevil,Ky. We wanted her to be able to enjoy the pool. It was a nice welcome after 9 hours of driving to get to this point. Liked the suite as we were able to let her watch Disney channel's while we watched something else on the other TV. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not what I expected I was very disappointed with the attitude of the staff. I am disabled and no one even held the door for me. One person even let the door go while I was entering and it almost hit me. I was shocked at the lack of manners here. I think this is what makes your stay. If the people are rude and unprofessional it is difficult to enjoy your stay. Everyone seemed to be so bothered and busy and no one offered any help or asked if we needed anything. My bill was not computed correctly and the points were not applied nor was my senior citizen discount. I was unable to apply the points online when I booked because there was something wrong with the website that prevented it. I would not recommend this location...perhaps some customer service training is in order here and an update to their website. July 24, 2014

I just stayed at a Holiday Inn in Easton, PA two weeks ago. $80 cheaper Free breakfast Morning paper Small kitchenette and the bathroom was one-third bigger. What is so exclusive about your Inn? I have to say that this was the warmest welcome we have ever received from the Front Desk person, Matt. He was congenial and very professional and welcoming. Check in was good however the rate I booked at was $10 less than what their computer said. This happened to me in Columbus early this year too. The associate gladly corrected it and even priced it $10 BELOW what I booked online for my inconvenience. (I didn't ask for it). This is what customer service is all about. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. Food was very good, although service was kind of slow considering we were just one of two tables that had guests. We stayed at another "Inn" in Beckley on our way to our vacation spot because Holiday Inn was already booked. It was cheaper than Holiday Inn and it showed. I would spend a little more for Holiday Inn anytime. July 16, 2014

We thought it was a new hotel, it was so well-kept. The staff was friendly, helpful, & courteous. I had the best chicken quesadilla ever for dinner. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by June 2014 One Night Stay Overall good hotel. I either was extremely tired or the mattress was awesome because I had one of the best nights of sleep I've had in a while. Pros : Clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed Cons: Terrible wi-fi connection, 4th floor hallway smelled like cigarrettes (but not my room), and the to-go breakfast wasn't that great (overripe banana, mini granola bar, and can of pineapple juice) but it was free so I shouldn't complain. The gym was small but fine although it was too hot in there (max size is three people). I was the only one in there and I was dying because of the heat. June 30, 2014
