We are a family of 5 and stayed at the holiday inn for a weekend break, The service was excellent, staff very accommodating and helpful. There were no family rooms available when we booked and on arrival offered to up grade us to a suite for a small additional cost. Our children loved swimming in the pool and the gym is a very high standard.
The hotels location is fantastic, there are a number of good family restaurants only minutes walk from the hotel and the hotel breakfast was superb.
The hotel had great family packages that included family tickets to either the Titanic museum or W5 both of which we did during our stay in Belfast.
I would highly recommend the holiday inn and would stay again.

Except the toilet extract didn't work and someone came to check and never came back
Against what was advertised, the hotel did not have spare shower caps - shocked

Lets start with the positives, Receptionist was excellent really friendly and helpful. Didn't get her name but if I visit again will mention it.
Ok then the negative, really only 1 point the room !!
The bed cover was dirty, black marks over top (they must have noticed it as this was what I seen as soon as I pulled covers back.
Anyway called and again service was great and new cover was brought to room. Unfortunately this was torn, (not a big problem as on side off cover)
Anyway when dirty cover was removed I noticed that quilt has a large brown stain in the middle of it, enough said
I am a regular visitor to Belfast and this hotel but this has put me off visiting again.

I was disappointed that there was no free wifi, however as I am a frequent user of Holiday Inn, (although I did have to tell her, I would have thought your system would have identified that) receptionist gave me a hour's free wifi, good customer service.

We arrived, extrememy tired, at approx 8.45 am (with a book-in time of 2pm) and were just hoping to leave our luggage, but we were greeted by the most lovely girls at reception and immediately allocated our room :o)
All the staff were very friendly and accomodating and the food served at the function, held at the hotel in the evening, was most enjoyable.
The bed was soooooo comfy and breakfast delicious and inviting.
Then, upon checking out, the lovely, lovely young lady on reception casually chatted to me like an old friend! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay.
I have no complaints, and believe me, I have been referred to as Mrs Meldrew in the past, so this is indeed a compliment!!!

hotel is in a good location for getting into and around city centre
menu for guests dinner poor choice food not great quality
breakfast excellent choice well presented
bedroom was small and cramped for a family room
bed was past its best no very comfortable poor sleep
bathroom major problem with water from shower flooding the floor
pool was nice very enjoyable
bar area overcrowded very rowdy due to darts championship taking place in the function suites not at all suitable for families to relax
