Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Angenehmer Aufenthalt Der Check Inn verlief reibungslos, das Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ich habe in dem Bett gut geschlafen. Das Hotel liegt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, bei geschlossenem Fenster bekommt man davon nichts mit, bei offenem Fenster ist der Straße deutlich hörbar. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und hat gut geschmeckt. June 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything was right. Excellent IHG recognition We stayed one night in February at the Holiday Inn in Berlin and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff at check in was efficient and friendly and very accommodating. We had booked a standard room for two people and got a nice room on the top floor. The room was modern, the bed was comfortable. The internet was very fast, a kettle for tea and coffee was available. It was all very clean. The rooms were well insulated, so it was quiet at night. Das Personal beim Checkin war effizient und freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten ein Standard Zimmer für zwei Personen gebucht und erhielten ein schönes Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk. Das Zimmer war modern eingerichtet, das Bett bequem. Der Internetzugang war sehr schnell, ein Wasserkocher war für Tee und Kaffee vorhanden. Es war alles sehr sauber. Die Zimmer waren gut isoliert, sodass es nachts ruhig war. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank! February 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by definitely not the best of holiday inns The hotel is in a good location if you want to do some sightseeing of Berlin at budget. The staff was somewhat lost. Despite an information at the reservation that breakfast is complimentary I was not on the list at the breakfast room. After claiming at the reception I was given the free breakfast, however the next morning situation repeated once again and that time I got half priced breakfast as the reception did not want to accept it as complimentary. Hotel informed they have the public transit tickets, but in fact they only had 1 variant covering all areas of Berlin that was more than I needed, thus I had to look elsewhere. Last but not least the housekeeping cleaned up my room in the morning on the check-out day when I was having a breakfast, which normally they should do after I check-out, January 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unfriendly reception Unfriendly greeting on arrival. Not recognised as a Platinum Ambassador. No vouchers for drinks etc. or extra points. No upgrade. No nothing, not even a mention. Had to fill out all the forms, that is usually ready at check in. Uncomfortable Twin beds instead of Double bed. Although this hotel is tucked a little away from central Berlin, it is relatively easy to get to and from, also without a car. Tram "M6" just 2 minutes walk away, takes you directly to a S Train Station, that circumnavigate Berlin. Having only read comments from other guests after our visit, I note, that our experience is not a one of experience, but an indication, that staff (perhaps one single person only) at the reception needs a course in Hotel Management. My wife actually insist, this was her worst hotel experience ever. I am however a little more forgiving. November 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed Feelings Although I had reserved a double bed room, it had twin beds. It seems most of the rooms are twins rather than doubles. After my fussing, staff made arrangements with mgr., and we shifted to a double later. Phone was not plugged into the wall, but I figured it out and fixed it. The double bed room lacked a coffee maker, but had microwave, so we made do. New Orleans restaurant had limited menu and poor service - even when almost empty. The other restaurant was good with very good service. Very convenient location with easy access to public transport. Several staff were extraordinarily helpful. November 3, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Leider nicht wieder Wurde begrüßt mit dem Wort "Ja?". Begrüßung als Premiummitglied -Fehlanzeige. Aussicht aus dem Fenster: nicht vorhanden, da im 2. Stock Kein Gutschein oder Getränkegutschein Duschgel und Shampoo mussten an der Rezeption geholt werden Nur 1 Aufzug funktionierte Insgesamt: eins der schlechtesten Holiday Inns, das ich erlebt habe. Tut mir sehr leid, es zu sagen: das Personal ist zum großen Teil sehr unfreundlich und die Sauberkeit im Zimmer ließ zu wünschen übrig October 22, 2013

One good remark: fruit basket in my room upon arrival. rooms are old, needed to renovate. Dirty carpet with a lot of dark spots in the room. September 10, 2013

Bathrooms need a refurbishment Staff at reception is slow Staff at New Orleans bar is quite good Due to the street there is some noise in the room Wifi was not working during my stay. This hotel never give PriorityClub points without claiming them after the stay. July 2, 2013

Frühstück ist ein Massenauflauf aber es gab alles, keine Top-Qualitäten aber o.k. Ich habe mich stets als Paltinum-Member willkommen gefühlt. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice staff, uncomfortable room I admittedly didn't do due diligence in looking at the location, but this hotel was a pain to get to and from without a car in Berlin. If it was for business, I am sure it is a good locale, but in order especially to get to tourist sites on the west side of the city, it was really a trek. But eventually I got the hang of it. What was most problematic was sharing two twin beds with a partner, pushing these together was the best solution staff could come up with - which they had me do for myself anyways - and so there was a valley that widened in the middle of the night. As a tall guy, it really isn't acceptable to have a twin bed any more, not to mention sharing it with someone else. All of this being said, I did appreciate all the help in navigating the city that the staff gave to us. They were caring and friendly. June 8, 2013

The location is very convenient - close to the trams and about 10 min away from the center of the city on the tram. We had a very pleasant experince. June 4, 2013

The service at the reception is slow - same applies to the elevators. But we also liked the view overlooking the vast eastern part of the city. And we will return with pleasure. February 20, 2013

Our flight from the states arrived at 8am, so by the time we made it to the HI lobby, many people were still checking out from the night prior. However, the staff accommodated my family with one of the two rooms. Great cupcakes greeted us when we arrived back from touring at 6pm. Rooms were adjacent but not connected. As a Platinum member, many HI's will provide breakfast, but not here. We had 6 of us, and paid $50US for the 3 morning meals per person. Made it a bitter sweet Reward Points stay, but we really loved that this hotel was a sponsor for the 6 Day bike race at the nearby Velodrome. The shuttle service to and from the arena made us feel like rock stars! It's not a Crowne Plaza, but our stay was very enjoyable at the Berlln East HI. I recommend and will stay again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pretty close to perfection I came to the Holiday Inn Berlin City East - Landsberger Allee on a leisure trip. Although I showed my Priority Club Gold membership card, the lady reception didn't hand out a welcome letter. The check-in was done quickly and efficient. When I asked for the WiFi login, I was told that it is free for my membership level and I was given the credentials. The way to the elevators to the guest room s could be marked better because the eleveators in the lobby just lead to meeting rooms. The room itself was spacious and clean. Unfortunately, the receptionist didn't ask for the bed preference, so I had a twin beds room instead of a king or queen size bed. The breakfast room was very nice, the buffet offered a large variety and the staff was keen to satisfy the customers wishes. November 27, 2012
