Upon check in I was given a smoking room which made me feel sick with the stale stench, as I unpacked to settle in, a noise outside the window became apparent. I tried to open 1 window and it was sealed shut, the other was jammed slightly open and couldn't be opened or closed. There was a distinct December breeze flowing in. The noise can only be described as a cat playing in a cat flap whenever the wind blew. Every 2-3 minutes the noise repeated.
Upon notifying reception they sent me housekeeping, who also couldn't open the window or identify the noise. After contacting reception again I was told there were no other rooms, no maintenance and the duty manager would be informed. 20 minutes later I called down ( I was due out in 40 mins and hadn't been able to shower waiting for management) I was told they would be along but were busy at the time. They never came. I was late, stinking of stale smoke and going crazy at the noise. When I returned at 12:30 am the noise was still there... Loud in the wind. Finally after failing to get reception again I checked out at 2am furious not having been able to sleep. Never have I experience such infuriating disregard for guests. A complete waste of time and money.

Have stayed here quite a few times now and never had any problems. Reception staff are always bright and cheerful and rooms are clean, warm and have a comfortable king size bed. Never had breakfast there so no idea what the food is like. We stay here as its very convenient to get into The West End, the train from Bexley Village is non stop straight into Charing X Leicester Square, Soho, Theatres etc, takes around 30 mins and costs about £9 return.

We booked a suite and were very pleased with the size, cleanliness of the room. The room had everything we might have needed for our stay. The staff that were working on the night of our stay were helpful, knowledgable and friendly (Jessica on reception and Cameron and Tiffany in the bar/restaurant) they really made our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay at the bexley holiday inn again and would reccomend it to anyone for business or pleasure.
