Shabby older section of facility, that maybe should've been upgraded along with the new part. They tried to charge for breakfast with a Cracker Barrel just down the street. That's just dumb! Or insulting! Or both! Had to stand on a chair to close the curtains, (that had to be closed on account of the extreme brilliance of the yard light outside the window.) Coffee maker in the room was not working. Bathroom door was warped and falling apart, with veneer separating and flaking off. Wierd shower set-up that required instructions to operate. Instructions left leaning against the ice bucket on the sink.

After passing through a hallway of smoking rooms, we had to carry our suitcases up a flight of stairs (no elevator in our wing) to our outdated room. I expected more from a Holiday Inn that was called "Grand". That was not the case!

pictures on website are of new building not the old unimproved room we stayed in. There was food crumbs left in chair. Light coming in through bedroom window and the curtains did not close. Breakfast set up is not very conveniant.

Was very pleased with our stay. Maid forgot to clean the room but housekeeping did bring clean towels. Front desk help was amazing thank you Ryan for all your help with the room keys.

We arrived late in the evening to check-in for our reservation. The gentleman at the front desk said that as a Platinum Priority Club member that he hoped we didn't mind if he upgraded us to the Presidential Suite. What a nice surprise and what a nice room! Nicest room I have stayed in to-date at this hotel and I will only stay in the Atrium here.
Every staff person we encountered that evening, including in the casino off the lobby, seemed to know we were in the Presidential Suite and were so very nice to us. I have always been pleased with the service I have received when I have stayed at this hotel but this last stay was just that extra special touch and we sincerely appreciate and thank the staff that were working that evening.

All bell staff courteous and helpful.Shuttle drivers friendly and safe and prompt. Desk staff as well from Maria, Mike, Jance, Ryan, Jerry and Natika, all are most helpful getting checked in + out.Billings Holiday Inn Grand Montana is my home away from home, I drive to Billings over night and stay during the day then drive out the next evening. It is quiet enough for me to get my necessary rest. The Priority Club breakfast coupon is a huge hit with me! The day they instituted it I was just thinking how good breakfast sounded. The breakfast bar has a tremendous variety from which to choose and it changes daily and is always good. Waitresses Jonelle, Laureene and the other girls are always friendly + prompt, you never want for refills and they always clear used dishes. Thanks for always being a great stay!

We checked into our room and upon arrival, immediately notice that there were used shampoo/conditioner bottles and used bar soap in the shower. Then, there were also long, black hairs on the pillows of our beds. I called down to the front desk and they offered to move us. So, after we hauled all of our stuff down to the desk to get our new room assignment, we got the joy of hauling all of our stuff again down the maze to find our next room. After this all transpired, we were running late for our dinner plans so we just dropped our stuff in our room and left for dinner. When we arrived back at our room a couple hours later, I noticed sunflower seed shells behind the garbage can in our bathroom as well as our phone cord was completely covered in something orange and sticky (assuming soda from last guest). We decided to stay in the room but it was very disappointing.
I've stayed at this hotel before and have planned large conferences at this location and have never had issues like this. Not only does it appear that housekeeping isn't doing their job, but also the room inspectors are not doing theirs. While any hotel room you book should at least be clean, if you are charging over $100 a night, it better be spotless!!

This is our second time staying here. We travel with our dog so it can be difficult to find accommodations at times.
Our room was clean, did not smell like a pet had ever been there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was great.
We will stay here everytime we go to Billings. Thank you staff for making our stay very relaxing and enjoyable!

We didn't get a room in the tower so I am not sure if it was any better. However our stay was awful. The room was freezing and it didn't matter how high you turned the heat up it was still cold! After awhile the heater would start blowing cold air! We stayed for 2 days and not once did a maid come by and at least leave us new towels or dump our garbage cans. The only plus was the great bartender that works in the casino, I think Lisa was her name. Never ever will we stay there again!

Experience was average until the morning of checkout. Toilet overflowed. As it was early we cleaned the filthy mess. It became obvious is was a prior problem. Complained to fr. desk on checkout. No offer of reduction in room price, compensation of any kind or anything. We will NOT stay again.

Got steak sandwich that had so much gristle, every two bites I was spitting it out into a napkin. Couldn't continue eating it. Server took off bill and offered another entre for free, but by that time it was "fool me once....". Ended up leaving hotel and going down the road for dinner. Breakfest buffet was ok, but nothing to write home about. When I went up to it after being seated, half the items were empty. Eventually refilled, but not for ten minutes. Staff was friendly. Where they bought the weird hardware to turn on the shower, I'll never know. Took five minutes to figure it out and get it to work #it was broken#. Only stayed here because of location to some business I had. Price bumped up because of wrestling weekend, so very overpriced the weekend I was there.

We enjoyed our stay here as it was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The only down side was that we always pick a hotel that has a hot tub, and it was not working when we were there. After sitting on bleachers for 5 hours, we want to relax in the hot tub and that was disappointing.

Peaceful quiet setting. Nice location, not far from places to eat and shop. Easy on and off interstate. Older Holiday Inn, grounds and facilities in need of updates. Staff was great.

I had been on a business trip thought Montana. I showed up to this holiday it at just the right time. The had a landscape Expo going on when I got there. The front desk staff told me about the Expo I was able to make all the contacts I needed to by going in. It was great.
The Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay again.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times(but alway had a room in the "tower"). But this week we stayed there on two different occations (not getting rooms in the "tower") and both times had rooms that were run down. Wallpaper patched together and very shabby. The lounge chair dirty and could not was not comfortable relaxing in it. The bathroom was falling apart, shower tiles cracked and dirty, tub ceramic had large chips that have been painted (looking terrable) and the light switch/ outlet broke and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable as well.
I'd make sure I could get a room in the tower or not stay here again.

Great place to stay and relax. It is close to shopping, restaurants and the interstate. The rooms were clean and found the bed very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. What more could you ask for in a hotel.

The hotel lobby is very cold. You have to wear winter coats if you want to sit and visit with friends. The breakfast buffet was limited and the food was not turned over frequently enough. My room was good size but could have been cleaner. I found hair in the sink and bath tub that did not belong to me or family. The hotel is in a great location and easy to get to downtown or mall shopping. The staff at the desk were extremely friendly and made up for many of the shortfalls.

We were surprised when we checked in to see that our regular room had been upgraded to a suite. Wonderful. Made getting to meetings on time easier & since my daughter-in-law is pregnant, it was good not to have to walk too far from the room to the activities.

This is the worst Holiday inn in the west stay down the street at the Holiday Express its much better property. They do not clean your room, it's loud and they food is way below average and it takes them forever to get to your table. I am a Priorty club Platinum member which means the Holiday inn is my second home but not this one I have stayed their twice both times were horrible, so they're consistent. Don make the same mistake that I did.

After taking over 30 minutes to check in at 7:00 p.m. because the front desk can't find rooms that are clean I get to my room. the room is chilly so I turn up the thermostat.. After an hour or so the temperature is 67 degrees in the room. I call the front desk they say they will have maintenence come check it out. No one comes so at 11:00 I retire. Wake up at 5:00 a.m. and it is 63 degrees in the room. I leave and stop at the front desk to discuss and they say they will have maintenece check during the day if it is OK for them to go in room. I gave them my OK. Get back to room 7:30 p.m. and have a repeat of night before.

We were given a room where the air conditioner was directly outside of our room and made so much noise that we wouldn't be able to sleep. The front desk quickly changed the room however the room that we were given had obviously been recently smoked in. I called the front office and they sent someone to the room to spray air freshener. The next morning I went to use the coffee maker and found that the machine hadn't been cleaned as there was still coffee filters in the container. I was very disappointed that there wasn't a breakfast as well since we paid as much for the room as we usually pay for a Holiday Inn Express.
