I was pleasantly surprised to find a rather large mini fridge and microwave in our room (both were extremely useful during the stay) and the staff was always kind, courteous and helpful in addressing various requests. The hotel is also in a great location (easy to walk to nearby restaurants/bars/entertainment/etc.) and we had a view of the river nearby from our room. Everything was nice and clean upon arrival.

Great Location and Wonderful Staff
As Platinum IHG Member and Diamond HH I certainly travel my fair share and to frequent travelers it is not so important how dated some of the rooms are, but how you are treated and welcomed to a Hotel. Even though it was my first time staying at this particular IHG Hotel I was welcomed just like I have been there a 1000 times before…..well done!
However the Restaurant food quality left much to be desired, however the service once more made up for it. But I definitely will not be eating there if it is more important for the kitchen manager to hang around the bar, rather than focusing on the food which left the kitchen, which at this day could have not been more than 10 covers.

My wife and I needed a place to stay overnight after a wedding. The wedding was near by and most of my family was staying at another local hotel. We opted for this hotel to save some money.
The room was a standard room with a king sized bed. It felt very cramped with almost no room to move around. The thermostat fell off the wall when we turned the air conditioning on to cool the room! We dropped our bags and headed to the wedding.
It was extraordinarily loud in the room next to us later that night. The walls seemed almost paper thin and we could hear everything going on in the room next to us when the guests loudly returned at around 1 a.m. bringing whatever party they were just at with them. (Granted we had an adjoining room and most of the noise seemed to be coming from the adjoining door area.) It was loud enough that it woke us up and then prohibited us from going back to sleep.
The next morning we decided to try and use the coffee maker in the room before heading out. We were desperate for a GOOD cup of coffee and were let down in a big way. The coffee maker is a tease!
We didn't stay long enough to try any of the amenities on property. We had very limited interaction with the staff, so no comment there.
I gave a three stars, average, rating because that is exactly what our experience was, average. Nothing special, no pleasant surprises; just an average hotel room for a decent price. I kind of wished we'd paid the little extra and stayed at the hotel up the street with our family. They seemed to have a better experience.

Overall the hotel was good. We had challenges eating breakfast 1 morning. 35 minute wait for pancakes and eggs and once the food finally arrived it was cold. We left and went to local diner.

At the end of September, spent two nights attending a conference at Binghamton's Holiday Inn. Although the room was near the elevator on the 7th floor, it was quite quiet. I especially enjoyed the high-quality towels and comfortable bed. Food at the conference was very good, except for rather dry breakfast potatoes. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Binghamton.

The hotel is a bit old and could use some updating but overall, our stay was comfortable. We were traveling in a group of 11 motorcycles and I was glad we all had a club card so we could park closer to the hotel. The highlight of our stay was the staff at the bar and restaurant. Our bartender was fabulous and the drinks were perfect. Our dinner servers and our breakfast servers were responsive to our needs and took great care of us. I would also like to mention that the breakfast cook served up one heck of a great breakfast! We would stay at this hotel again thanks to the exceptional customer service offered by all these fine folks.

The mattress was hard, and the room was small.
Price was to high even though there was not breakfast included.
Restaurant was out of tap beer. All 4 taps were dry. Bottle beer was expensive.
Great location to visit other drinking and eating establishments.

One of the best downtown hotels that I have stayed at. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was very close to hotel entrance.
The only problem was that I hadn't book this hotel for more nites. I will be staying here again.

This Holiday Inn is located in downtown Bingamton. All aspects of our stay were good. It was a treat to dine outdoors and watch the ducks on the rapidly flowing river. You would be especially lucky if you were aserved by Sabrina - a knowledgeable and caring staff person.

When my husband and I walked into ths 8 story hotel we were blown away.We had looked forward to our 2 night stay. Plush lobby with gorgeous furnishings. Botique shops located within. After we left the elevator the horror story began. Our executive King room had a 3 foot by 3 foot open area!! The bathroom was the size of a phone booth--with a toilet that flushed like a jet engine. You could hear the toilets flushing in the surrounding rooms!!!! Dinner was a disaster. I ordered the beer battered fish fry--I kid you not--I was presented with Van de Camps frozen fish with a crumb topping--2 triangles that did not resemble fish. The waiter did not bring my salad--and I had to ask for tarter sauce. Never got the salad!!!! I had very high expectations for this hotel but this was insane. We had intended to have our grand daughters visit us, but when you have to sit on the bed to open the mini fridge-no way.I will say that the staff were friendly....We were not recognized as Rewards Club members.... Sorry Holiday Inn I really wanted to like you!!!!

This was our second stay, rooms are clean, comfortable, staff friendly, restaurant and bar awesome. Kudos to our server Michael, who noticed we waited to long to be served and complimented our breakfast! Attentive staff. Would stay again!

Rooms were reasonably priced for the quality.
The 'free' breakfast was not as nice as expected. The free breakfast was actually $20 credit for breakfast. Since there were 3 of us, they charged us $9.95 for my son to eat a bagel with cream cheese from the buffet.

Good room and dining accomodations, coupled with great staff and some new twists (the Outdoor Barbeque Dinner offered this past weekend was excellent!) make this the place to stay when I come back to my home town.
I stay her every couple of weeks; for me this property offers the best in the Binghamton area as far as comfort, convenience, customer service and value.

My boyfriend and I were able to get some of the best sleep ever on the super-comfy beds--and we needed it after a long drive. The breakfast buffet in the morning was the perfect way for us to gear up for a long day ahead. Highly recommended.

Overall my stay wasn't bad. The people that worked the front desk were friendly and helpful and the location was great the reason for the visit. The only complaints I have is that my room smelled like a dog had stayed there right before me, which since it is a 'pet friendly' hotel, it must have. If the hotel is going to allow animals than it has to have a better way to clean the rooms between guests or designate animal rooms for only those people who stay with animals. I was there for one night so it wasn't a huge issue but to open the door and have that odor is not a pleasant experience or stay.
I also requested a king bed (and it was months in advanced) but ended up with a room that had two doubles.

This hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area and is walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The rooms are small and a little dated. The bathrooms are small too. The beds and pillows are comfortable. There is a small refrigerator, a desk and a coffee pot with coffee in room. A hair dryer is mounted on the wall in the bathroom. Overall, it is a pleasant place to stay. The staff was nice and helpful.

The front desk staff helped me with an urgent task, by allowing me to receive and send faxes. The breakfast was superb. I definitely enjoyed my upgraded room. My expectations of this hotel at first were very low but after my stay, i definitely enjoyed staying here. Perhaps my one improve is I wish there was a bigger gym with more equipment, but everything else more than mad eup for it.

We decided to stay in downtown Binghamton after having used the Vestal Holiday Inn for several of our stays. It appeared that it had been upgraded from our last stay at this location several years ago.
While our room was okay, the toilet was loose and though we asked to have it fixed this was never done. Our concern was that it might leak into the room below us.
On our departure I asked the front desk about a Holiday Inn in Syracuse as we were considering a night stay there on our return trip home. The gentleman at the front desk advised that he knew that there was a Holiday Inn in Cortland but was not certain as to whether there was one in Syracuse. I was rather dumbfounded by this response as I would have expected that your own systems could have located and advised me as to whether there was a room available at a Holiday Inn in Syracuse (I have made similar requests at other Holiday Inns and been provided with information and arrangements made for me). He did suggest to me that I could go into the Business Centre and look it up myself - not exactly very customer service oriented.
As a result, we do not intend to return to this Holiday Inn during future trips to Binghamton and we will likely seek out another hotel chain.

I stayed at the Binghamton-Downtown (Hawley St) location for a week while in town. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff was quick to act on requests. I ordered room service several times and thought that the food was good although felt that the attention to details was not met very well. When I placed my orders and made a special request, all 3 times it was looked over. Simple things such as an extra plate or ranch for fries and once they forgot silverware. They should just pay more attention to the final product before it goes to the customer. The staff was very polite though! I also didn't take into account that the college students would be leaving the bar at 2 or 3am that Saturday night and was woken up by screaming and yelling from a fight taking place in the parking lot across the street. I did have to call 911 since I saw a young man being beaten up horribly. There was also a festival going on all weekend so it wasn't as quiet as I had anticipated. With all that being said, I would definitely stay there again since the comfort was of utmost importance and it was really a very nice stay!! :)

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. The patio over looking the river was really nice and relaxing. The rooms were clean. The only problem with the hotel was the room and bathroom were very small. With 4 people it was like we were triping over each other but over all nice place to visit.
I would recommend this hotel.

Was very pleased with everything until I went to check out. There were 2 women at the front desk. A younger one who had greeted my wife and I when we arrived and was extremely pleasant and helpful. The other woman, whose name I unfortunately do not have, rudely told me to take my time, not to rush her, when I was leaving on Monday morning 7/15. I had no idea what she was speaking about. I wasn't rushing her in any way and there were no other guests anywhere near the reception desk. I felt baffled and hurt after such a lovely stay. The younger woman appeared to also feel embarrassed by the harsh words of her co-worker, which seemed to come out of left field, I thought everything was just fine and was smiling until that occurred.
