Staff is nice and helpful. Shuttle service to airport is convenient. Hotel itself is showing it's age and needS updating.

I always turn the air down to the mid to low 60's when I get to my room, because I like it cold when I sleep. I turned the air down when I arrived, went to concert and came back. Room was cool, but not cold. I went to sleep or tried too. The air would come on for a few minutes and cut off, over and over. I could not sleep due to it being warm in the room. I also used my points for this one night, the girl at the front desk charged my card $54 for something, and then the manager told her that was wrong and said they were going to credit that back to my card. I still haven't seen the refund and when I call the hotel, they tell me to call back and talk to the manager. I call back and the manager isn't available. I have yet to talk to any manager at the hotel about my refund. I will not go back to this hotel again!

We read the reviews of this hotel when searching for an overnight stay, awaiting out flight out of Birmingham, AL. We were pleased with a most friendly and welcoming experience at the front desk. The security was a comfort as well.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The temperature was within the comfort zone for a good night's rest.
The restaurant offered good attentive service with a very good tasting meal. The lounge was well staffed with friendly service there also.
My wife and I were pleased in every aspect of this Holiday Inn and will return for sure. We will also recommend this particular hotel to any traveler seeking a safe, secure, clean environment they won't need to leave for any purpose during their night's rest.

Although the room is located on the 9th floor, I could still hear some traffic noise from below. The room was not very well kept and had some general housekeeping issues. TV channels were few and full of statics. I enjoyed the shower because it had adequate water pressure and hot temperature. Breakfast was not ready at 6:00 AM; waiters were trying to bring out food instead of tending to customers.

We were taking our grandson to the airport and stayed at the Holiday Inn. It had been a while since we stayed at an Holiday Inn but this was an absolute joy of a place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Service was friendly and met all of our needs. We ate breakfast at the hotel and found the service to be quick and VERY friendly (my coffee cup was never empty). This is on my list of places I recommend and will definitely be staying there when we visit Birmingham.
