Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Would stay again and again I was very happy with my stay at this Holiday inn. Check in was a breeze. All of the staff I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The hotel even has a shuttle into town to some of the hotspot. I wasn't able to partake as I had to get up early but I would definitely take them up on this next time. The elevators were very fast. I stayed on the 9th. I will say that the carpet in the hallway was very dirty and old and should be replaced. I had only one problem with the room. There was an unexplained what looked like ash in the bathroom sink. I called the front desk and they sent someone immediately to clean it for me. The only problem was the sink was backing up later. the house keeper only wiped the sink out but didn't run the tap. bed was very comfortable. Plenty of lighting. Just enough channels for me to find something interesting to watch. Room service was super fast. Shower was very hot. Overall I was very happy with my stay and was able to rest up for my early flight the next day! December 17, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Horribly Disgusting - Holiday Inn Birmingham-Airport I took photographs of the filthy condition of this hotel and posted them to my Face Book page. I was shocked at the filthy carpets, filthy and damaged bed skirts, dirty pillow cases, poorly refinished bathtub with rusting and mildewed fixtures and stained carpet. That was the second room. The first room had a broken toilet. I was only there for a quick overnight stay before catching an early flight, so it wasn't feasible to try and change hotels. I asked the front desk clerk for fresh pillow cases and sheets and was told housekeeping was gone and there were no clean pillow cases. I told her she needed to do something because there was no way I was sleeping in that bed. She said she would ask the maintenance guy to get pillows from another room. After 20 minutes I called back and finally spoke with a different desk clerk--he brought clean linens and apologized, but didn't offer to move me to another room because he said the entire hotel looked that way. I tried uploading photos here but keep getting an error. Hotel was DISGUSTING!! December 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to BHM Ended up staying here because I had an early flight the next day. Shuttle service was reliable and quick. First shuttle departed at 0420 and it's a short (8 minute) ride to the terminal. The front desk staff was great and the bar/lounge area was a great place to grab a drink and have an informal dinner at the bar while watching sports on multiple screens behind the bar. I was apprehensive about staying here due to some of the reviews I had read, but was pleasantly surprised by the staff, the room and the shuttle service. The hotel does need to be remodeled, and I believe will be doing so in 2015, but overall I give the hotel and the staff a thumbs up. No issues at all. You can't beat the location if you have to be at the airport early in the morning. December 2, 2014

My room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good and they were very accommodating to make me an item that wasn't on the buffet, and the front desk helped me with transportation. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area. November 28, 2014
