Stopped off at hotel on way down to Cornwall. Comfortable hotel the only issue is that the disabled rooms do not have roll in showers,only baths. Hopefully when rooms are refurbished this will be addressed.
Great hotel otherwise.

FOUND SERICE IN RESTAURANT A LITTLE SLOW AND THE CHECK OUT DESK HAD PEOPLE WAITING AND HAD TO WAIT AS ONLY ONE DESK CLERK ON AT TIME.

I'm a Holiday Inn regular but first time here. It was a grubby hotel beyond the reception area, unlike I have to say, any other HI I've stayed in.
Our spare bed (we'd booked 3 adults) didn't have bed linen and it took until 10.20pm before housekeeping arrived.
Don't think IHG would be too proud of this one

Stayed here for a two day conference,
Good location for access to M6 and also for central Birmingham
Conference facilities good,
Lunch on first day poor, as we were the last of several large groups in. A lot better on second day when we were first in.

Good location to access all areas of Birmingham and onward places further a field.
Has all the requirements needed for a comfortable stay, rooms clean and tidy although dated.
Staff are excellent and very helpful.

Despite a very lengthy queue at check in and a problem in the room, the staff were friendly and helpful.
However, the food in the restaurant was not great and the cutlery and crockery was frequently dirty (stains on mugs, debris left on plates, dried egg on fork).
They need to do more to fix the fundamentals of service in this hotel.
