Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Surprisingly good! I have a certain scepticism about service in city centre hotels, but I was extremely pleased with the whole experience here. Thank you. Great service, great food and drink - I was especially impressed with being able to check out whilst in the queue! Although I couldn't take advantage of it, as I had other items on the bill; it was great to see others being offered this to save waiting. Excellent. October 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great proximity for Birmingham Theatres Stayed here for a birthday treat, as we had tickets for the Alexandra Theatre to see Madam Butterfly. It certainly enhanced the evening being able to "pop over the road" after the performance, have a drink in the bar and a good night's rest in the comfortable executive room. Breakfast was good and all staff were friendly and helpful. October 25, 2014

However the room was actually better than expected and the best compared with two other similar hotel brands that we had used within the previous two weeks and was actually the cheapest because we had booked in advance. The day after we checked in was going to be the Birmingham Great Run with local road closures but on enquiry at reception they had little or no information about being able to leave by car he following morning. As it turned out this was not a problem. The local multi-storey car park is expensive for an overnight stay and HI do not have any deal set up for guests. We will definitely consider Holiday Inn as an alternative in the future. October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for the city Me and my partner stayed at this hotel after seeing a gig at the NIA (which is only a 5-10 min walk)! The hotel is about a minute walk from Birmingham new street station so very easy access and it's right in the centre of the city so you have access to everything. The room was clean and comfy, staff were friendly and helpful. My only down point from this would be if you are looking for a good nights sleep this may not be the best hotel for you; Although the hotel offered complementary ear plugs. When we stayed it was a Saturday night there were sirens, tooting, shouting and screaming all night long from the noise outside. Again you can't fault the hotel for this as it is based in the centre and it's to be expected. Overall great stay and would return again. October 23, 2014
