Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First experience at this hotel An easrlier review criticising the reception of a Rewards club member created a question mark in my mind whether to stay at this hotel. It was not a problem. My satnav directed me to the door. Sign posting to the parking area was good although the available parking space was small considering the size of the hotel. The outside appearance left something to be desired as it looked dilapidated Perhaps a coat of paint would not come amiss. The reception desk was not what I expected . Having stayed at IHG hotels worldwide the small reception desk took me aback. It is not what I expected. It was different to say the least. Staff were excellent.Room was fine. I had dinner in house. I was not impressed with the choice. The staff again were excellent and the Chef provided the Gazpacho soup I requested even though it was not on the restaurant menu(room service only). Breakfast was okay but!. Will I use this hotel again. The answer is simply Yes.Room was good,staff were great All that is required is a boost to the appearance and a closer look at the restaurnt menus. September 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NEVER BEEN LET DOWN BY HOLIDAY INN THE ONLY NEGATIVE I CAN MAKE ABOUT THIS HOTEL AND COULD BE THE SAME OF MANY OTHER HOTEL CHAINS, IS THE LACK OF LIGHTING IN THE BEDROOM. AS AN OLDER CLIENT LIGHT IS VERY IMPORTANT AND CENTRAL LIGHTING OR UPLIGHTING IS MOST IMPORTANT FOR READING, APPLYING MAKEUP ETC. September 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by friendly stop-over once again an exellent stop-over to and from Ouistreham port (just 3 hours drive away) and excellent local restaurants and interesting town. If only the airconditioning units in bedrooms could be changed to silent variety - at least we were able to turn ours off. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful August 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Basic Hotel Basic Hotel, renovated rooms, but small. Wall hung airco was damaged but worked. The hotel is in a quite location, own car park, but one night it was full had to park on the public car park, however it does not seem to be unsafe. Breakfast corresponds more to a Holiday Inn Express then a full Holiday Inn. The food at the restaurant was badly prepared not worthy of a Holiday Inn. I ate salmon, the salmon was hard and dry and very salty (perhaps to hide it was not fresh) but really my wife prepares salmon better then that !!!. Never have eaten salmon so badly prepared. Went the second evening to a Brasserie in Blois where we ate delicious dishes for a price below what the hotel was charging. We did no longer want to eat in the hotel. The good thing is the location to visit Blois and the chateaux of Chambord, Chenonceaux, etc... Stayed two nights before driving on to Bilbao. August 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Stay We stay in this hotel one night - family room - platinum card member. We were very pleased by the welcoming staff and the information provided. Easy free car park. Very close to the city centre. We did not take the breakfast, 16 euros per person ... and decided to get some lovely croissants and pains au chocolat from a patisserie nearby. August 25, 2014
