Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good experience I don't want to beat a dead horse but there was two things that fell short of our expectations. Due to our flight being delayed we got at the hotel late. Come to find out that we weren't in the best location for food. The dining area was closed and there was nothing around so we ended up not eating that night. My room was ok but my work partner experience was not good because he had no hot water in the morning so he had to take a cold shower. We were there just for 9 hours due to us getting there late and us getting up early so it wasn't the best experiance. I wish this hotel could give my work partner a cash refund or something. I felt bad when he had to take a cold shower. He did call the front desk. April 16, 2014

The only thing that I would suggest is the repair of the hotels entrance road. I was a little disappointed with the condition of the road but hey were not all perfect. April 15, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My stay at Boxborough While the staff exceeded my expectations in professionalism and friendliness I was quite disappointed in the facility. The room was CLEAN but the bed and pillows were old and uncomfortable. The exercise facility had newer equipment but most of the equipment did not work properly. The recumbent bicycle's timer and exercise type did not work but the resistant setting did. The elliptical machine felt like it had a broken bearing and was totally unusable. While I can suffer through a night on a bad bed not being able to exercise properly in the morning is very disappointing. April 14, 2014

Service is good but room qualify varies and noise levels can vary depending on the location of the room. Room furnishings are barely adequate and need updating. In my room the air conditioning and other services worked, but the shower rod was not level so shower curtain did not stay in place during showers. Close to business I deal with and other hotels are a considerable distance. So ok if closeness to Boxborough is important, otherwise I would pick somewhere else. April 11, 2014

If you're looking for a room that has no refrigerator, this is the room for you. If you're looking for a room where you can focus down and prepare for a speaking engagement the next morning with throbbing bass music until 10:00 PM at night from a sweet-sixteen party and kids yelling and having a great time in a swimming pool, all just a few steps from your room, this is the room for you. If you'd enjoy carrying your luggage from the parking lot, through the lobby, going up an elevator, and passing over 30 other door rooms on the way to your room, this is definitely the room for you. If you'd like to stay at a place that is about twenty years behind the times and mysteriously over-rated, yet pay contemporary rates for the experience, this is the place for you. Of course, even though some of these concerns might bother you, along with a few other unmentioned items, because there are few alternatives in the area, this just might HAVE to be the place for you. We also had a balcony that overlooked the pool area. I felt very comfortable in the hotel. The pool was AWESOME! We will definitely be back!! March 31, 2014

The pool is an oasis and allowed our kids and us to forget about the cold and snow for a day. The room, service and food were great. We got a bonus as the function hall was having a Home Show and we spent some time checking that out the morning after we checked out. We'll be back. March 25, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Air conditioner/heater and pillows and internet Hi Just a couple things to improve. The pillows were not comfortable....need different firmness and longer pillows in the mix. The heater was very loud in my room. The internet keeps kicking you out when you move from your room to the lobby and back. Also, the black out curtains should cover the whole window as the lights by the pool on each door are quite bright at night and shine around the partial blackout blinds. Otherwise very nice hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Indoor Pool Atrium I booked a block of rooms for 1 night. Before I emailed the details to our group, we decided to book our room so that if there were any issues, we can get them resolved before our entire group follows the same path. The details provided to us were very easy and there were no issues with booking individual rooms under our block name. Our only disappointment with our stay was with check in. I was offered a gift or 500 club member points for being a club member. I requested to the gentleman at the front desk, can I get a poolside room overlooking the indoor pool atrium, instead of the gift or 500 points. It was 4pm. He checked and told me there were no more poolside rooms available, sorry. So we were given a parking lot view room. What disappoints me the most is 2 families in our group who reserved their rooms after we did a month sooner, checked in an hour after we did and was given poolside rooms. They are not Holiday Inn Club members like we are. Or shall I say, like we were. March 15, 2014

I loved the pool area.I appreciated it's landscaping. It gave me a very nice place to make my daily walk. I would have loved a hot tub to soak in. March 11, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Upgraded to Suite While I was upgraded to a suite with plenty of room, I was disappointed in the bathroom especially. The large shower's drain did not work, the water pooled in the shower. I had to use the small shower in the other room. Also, the faucet in the large bathroom leaked onto the countertop! The cabinets also need to be refurbished, very old looking. The fan was very loud as well. Overall, the Holiday Inn need to be renovated with new amenities. March 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by School vacation destination The Holiday Inn at Boxborough is our family's favorite hotel. We stayed there one night last year during school vacation. We liked it so much that we decided to make this an annual event! The hotel staff is so nice. They answered patiently any question we had, even gave us tape to wrap a birthday present! The rooms, especially those on the first or second floors with doors that open onto the atrium, don't feel like hotel rooms. They made us feel like we were at a tropical resort! The kids were never bored, between exploring the atrium and pool and even the outdoor paths. And they ate free at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. All this, and we were even allowed to bring our dog so that we didn't have to find him a kennel! March 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family friendly with Great staff! I am a manager at a local resort on Cape Cod. We booked a Tube and stay package at your hotel to bring our 3 children tubing at Nashoba Valley to end out the school vacation. The hotel was conveniently located right off the highway and only 10 mins to the tubing park. Kelsey was at the front desk upon check in and was friendly from the moment I walked through the front door! Our room wasn't ready when we got there but we were very early so I expected it. She recommended a few local attractions that we could go do if we were not interested in using the facilities on property while we waited for the room. We went to the local bowling alley which was close to the hotel and the kids had a blast beating me! When we got the call our room was ready and headed back to the hotel the excitement from all the kids was great. All they wanted to do was swim:) Our suite was great. When we ever looked out our slider and there was the beautiful pool in the indoor atrium you could see the kids faces light right up. They wasted no time in changing into their suits. The pool was busy because of school vacation but it wasn't over crowded at all. We swam at least 3 times in our one night stay. The hotel was great for dinner, awesome staff and great service and food! Breakfast as well on Sunday morning was fabulous!!! I would highly recommend your facility and look forward to coming back! Easy…go with a consistently tried and true winner. In this case... Holiday Inn in Boxborough, MA. Especially starting with the Front Desk manager, the bartender, the maintenance engineer, and housekeeping staff we truly experienced a most delightful, professionally handled, extremely well maintained, stay! Kudos to all, indeed! Next time in that 'neck of the woods', we shall most definitely make a return stay! February 25, 2014
