Icing on cake was when I returned to car in the morning. Car was parked on its own some way from hotel entrance and the staff had cleared a pathway through 8 inches of snow right to the door of my car. I was impressed! December 23, 2013

I have only one issue, the heating/air conditioner is so noisy and kicks on and off a lot. I now just turn the unit off to get a better night's sleep. But otherwise the place is great. Clean, friendly, and very conveniently located. December 2, 2013

Alas, sleep in that marvelous bed was tough due to the heater unit in the room that cycled on and off all night (click, click, click). Not broken - just an old-school, in-room unit, rather than a centralized unit that can be controlled via thermostat. Also, for those with sensitivities, there are tons of electronics in the room that can't be turned off. Exceptionally clean and well-maintained room and facility, though. November 27, 2013

Palm trees everywhere - rooms had their own patio where I sat out and felt like I was on vacation. Beds were so comfortable! Wedding was TOP NOTCH....This is NOT a typical Holiday Inn but a great resort at a great price. November 21, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, quiet room There were multiple wedding receptions during our stay and the first room we were given was right over and looking out upon the reception area which would have made sleep impossible! Fortunately we were able to switch to a quieter room where we could not hear the loud music. Just be aware that you need to request a room that will be away from the noise of a reception if you want to sleep!!! October 30, 2013

My husband had training that was held in one of the meeting rooms-we went a day early to enjoy the pool. The staff was very accomodating and gave us a late check-out as the training ended at 4pm. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again in the near future. October 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful wedding space, everything else lacking I was in a wedding at the Holiday Inn Boxborough. The event space is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful indoor gazebo with dance floor and archways. Table settings were very nice and elegant. The bride had some issues with the hotel leading up to her wedding though, and dealt with three different wedding coordinators in a year and a half. She was promised she could expand her block of rooms if she needed to, but then had a hard time doing so. The rehearsal was a little hectic and the staff that oversaw it were not very friendly, one woman was actually rude when the bride wanted to do something a little differently. The concierge staff were not nice or accomodating. The honeymoon suite was stuffy and hot, and despite having the temperature setting to cool and the fan on high, the room temperature did not improve. Over two nights I slept and spent time in two different rooms - the honeymoon suite and then a king room. I saw peeling wallpaper in both and overall the appearance was kind of dingy and old. The hotel restaurant service was atrocious. It took us 45 minutes to get our breakfast order, and there were 4 of us, all of whom ate your basic eggs and toast. The food was gross when it finally came. The event staff were rude to guests during the wedding, and cleared the favors before the wedding was over. A server asked the bride's grandmother who had placed a glass on a table she had already cleared - while the reception was still going on! The bride had to go and ask for the night manager to retrieve the favors from the back so they could be distributed to guests. Overall, they have a beautiful event space and it's clear that's where they have put their focus. The rooms are sub-par and the service was worse. October 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not an easy place to get to rooms I was told I would get an upgraded room and was sent up stairs via elevator only to find I had walk about a quarter mile walk all around the building to get to my room instead of being directed to a back parking lot. Also sent on a wild goose chase to find a pharmacy which I didnt find. Resturant food was good but service is slow. October 28, 2013

Our kids had a blast swimming in the indoor pool and ordering room service, while my husband and I appreciated the spacious room and cleanliness of the hotel. Everyone had great things to say about the hotel and staff. Amanda and Anwar were especially helpful in coordinating and servicing my son's wedding. The General Manager even showed up on a Saturday night to make sure everything was to our expectations. The hotel and staff exceeded all of our expectations, thank you for everything. We discovered this leak the next morning when my wife noticed that clothes in her suitcase were wet. On closer examination we identified the water leak originating from the ceiling. We reported the problem to the front desk before departing but it was an unhappy circumstance. October 1, 2013

I had tried to reach the appropriate office when I wanted to book my room at the Boxborough Holiday Inn, but was unsuccessful. I spoke to the registration office, but she was unable to reach to appropriate office to get me the special room rate. When I arrived at the hotel on Friday evening, I again tried to get the special rate, but the clerk informed me that the office was closed until Monday. I am a Priority Club member and have been staying at Holiday Inns for over 25 years, and am very disappointed about this treatment. October 1, 2013

Overall they did a really nice job and we were very happy...I would recommend it, but the bridal suite had air conditioning issues and was too contrast, my room was like an iceberg when we arrived. We adjusted the temperature, but the cleaning staff obviously does not pay attention to how people leave the rooms. The bridal suites should be a priority...lots of people in and out and wedding gowns are big and need a cool room. There were many staff members that went above and beyond...and we had a "wonderful" time. I would recommend booking a wedding at this facility...just tell them to check the rooms for comfort.
