Only part of my stay that was pleasant was checking in to the hotel. Emma who checked me in was polite and offered me all the benefits for my ambassador status. Room was tried and not every clean even though it had been just cleaned, went down to the bar later to eat and have a drink and service was poor at the bar, trying to order a drink and staff thought it was more important to talk about BGT starting on TV that night than serve 2 customers that were waiting, when I asked to put drinks and meal on my room I was told I need to register my credit card at reception.... I did that when I checked in.... ended up paying cash which was not a problem, the problem was the inconsistency of staff attitude and their inability to do their job properly, when our food came, it was at best luke warm with poor flavour and under cooked, when I asked to see the duty manager I was told by the bar staff one was not available... we ended going to the pub up the road which provided quality food and service, breakfast.... can't much go wrong can it.... yeah you guessed it, it did... short staff a lot of people waiting , didn’t mind the wait as its sometimes expected when you’re busy, what I didn’t except was dirty cutlery and cups that had not been washed and checked before being put out... we left without having breakfast... I am lucky that I get to travel and stay at hotels 4-5 nights a week, this is the worst Holiday Inn hotel I have stayed in....... by far..... I wouldn’t go back even if it was free

we enjoyed our leisurely stay at holiday inn Brentwood the staff were polite and helpful, the food was excellent and the pool and Jacuzzi were very relaxing.
