Exceptional staff who care, shuttle service is very convenient, very comfortable room for rest and a good nights sleep, equipped with everything you need to get ready. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Heater in Room did not function - One Light out The thermostat did not work meaning heat never shut off. Heat went up to 90 degrees at 1AM. Had to shut off the heater breaker in room. Advised front desk staff in AM. Another associate I travel with had similar problem. The menu button on his thermostst was also pushed in and perhaps this caused the problem. Facility - lobby area appeared darker and not as welcoming over previous visits. May consider another hotel for future repeat visits to Bridgeport area. Bill E January 13, 2014

Got yo spend New Years Eve (2013) there, thanks to the GREAT STAFF.The folks at The Blue Martini were AWESOME a New Years that will be always be remembered. Cant wait to stay again in 2014. The only issue was that the walls were thin so we heard the people next to us and they were up very late. We ate at the buffet before we left and that was just as good as dinner. December 31, 2013

The hotel decor was great, staff was friendly and the rooms and lobby were very secure. The rooms were very nice and the location to downtown is perfect. The pool while small was perfect for my kid and not crowded. I would stay here again. December 29, 2013

The room was comfortable, quiet and very clean. The staff in your restaurant was very friendly, helpful and always greeted our family with a smile. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by In the heart of the city!! I truly enjoyed my stay at the Bridgeport property!. The property has a true "Downtown" feel about it. The lobby and lounge have a fell of elegance. The staff graciously handled my personal requests without hesitation. I am in hotels twenty nights per month (almost exclusively Holiday inns) The staff consistently makes me feel welcome and at home. As far as a hotel is a "city" feel, it doesn't get any better than the Bridgeport, Ct. Holiday Inn! November 26, 2013

Despite the Environmental policy you are told to run the water for what turns out to be over 5 mins to get hot water for a shower. The public spaces are cold Room service knocks on your door before 9am on a Sunday - and then again 10 minutes later! November 24, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Issues Was not up to usual "Holiday Inn" standard. Seemed to be under staffed in all departments - front desk, bar, restaurant. They were able to provide breakfast in the restaurant - dinning area, but for dinner you had to eat in the lounge area of the Bar. For security reason - you had to swipe your card to use the elevators, but if someone comes out on the ground floor, you could engage the elevator to access other floors. Plenty of local police present surrounding the hotel????? Guess my review was some what bias as I just came from Holiday Inn Crown Plaza, where I paid less than this location and was treated like Royalty. November 24, 2013

Food prices were reasonable but would have preferred free breakfast included. King bed was comfortable but pillows were not king size and needed to be replaced due to poor quality. November 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel I was in Bridgeport for the night & stayed at this hotel & I have to say I was pleased with the whole experience. Hotel/room was nice, clean & comfortable. The bar was hopping the night I was there which was nice to see for a hotel!!! The only thing I had an issue with is, and someone else pointed this out, that they charged $8 to par the car but other than that, nice place. November 17, 2013

Only issue was on Friday night, restaurant seemed understaffed for the crowd. I had to wait an unacceptable amount of time for the food and to get check and pay. Food was excellent, however. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a great experience Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed with the size of the lobby and décor. Desk staff was pleasant upon arrival and informative but short. We went to the room and had problems with the heat. Being Nov. it was a bit chilly. That was resolved and went down for a bite to eat. As we sat for 10 minutes without seeing a waitperson, we were told by a guest at a neighboring table to grab anyone going by to place our order because we would be waiting for along time. We did get someone to take our order then dinner came before appetizers. When checking out, we wanted to grab breakfast on our way out of the city. We requested information on different restaurants in the area and the desk clerk couldn't get rid of us fast enough. All in all, I would not recommend The Holiday Inn Bridgeport CT to anyone. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some great front desk and bar staff. Pathetic laundry service and lazy room service I had some very fun and helpful interactions with front desk and bar staff. GREAT! However the night watch man at front desk seems lost... he has no clue nor answers. I can live with that... HOWEVER, I cant live with two situations: 1. I put my laundry in a bag, left it outside the door before 8am for next day service. When I came back the bag was in my room with a note saying the laundry facilities are on the 2nd floor. That note got framed. It is a classic... When I went downstairs and asked what is going on they said i had to bring it down to front desk. When I asked where it mentions that on the bag and paperwork they said that it is normal to do so. Well, that was the first time I ever heard of such a policy. BAD Customer Service- especially the condescending way the lady (whom I have not seen before during my week's stay) talked to me about it. 2. Same day I went back to my room and only then realized my bed was not made. It had a note on it saying: We did not make bed because of personal items. What I had on my bed were: 1 short, 1 pair of pants, a jacket and a tie. Oh, sorry, a brochure as well. Again, a fist for me. I liked the breakfast , bar staff was great, food at night decent. free parking. It is a good places with a few loonies... PS. 2 weeks later I have still not gotten my points. I have received my welcome gift. THANKS, but points are still missing. WHY? October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Front Desk Staff The staff at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and attend to our needs. They were friendly, remembered us, and made the stay fun and welcoming. We were travelling with nine students and they treated the kids with respect and attended to their needs as diligently as ours. Not only was the process efficient and friendly, but they didn't have playing cards at the front desk when we asked and by the time we returned after dinner, they had purchased some for us. We did not have the same experience in local shops and restaurants, so the service at the hotel was a welcome reprieve from the overall atmosphere of the surrounding area. October 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Housecleaning Reserved a non-smoking room and at check-in was told they had no non-smoking rooms available. At check-in the room had hair in the sink and was dirty. We purchased some beverages the next several evenings and on both occasions after the room was cleaned the dirty glasses were left on the table. Complained and the desk clerk wrote it down in the log but that did not help. At check-out, we complained again and were told that because we booked through a third party, they could not refund any of the money we paid for the room. At least the desk clerk did comp us the parking and gave us a free breakfast which was very nice of her. October 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Family Weekend October 4 - 7, 2013 Overall we had a really good stay the only drawback was the noisy a/c - it was located inside the room near the head of the bed, so when it came on it was noisy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The young lady that checked us in on Friday (Oct 4, 2013) was very warm and personable. The only reason that Bridgeport-Trumbull-Fairfield gets a 4 star is because of the a/c. Thanks to the staff they were helpful and informative, the food was also good. We also enjoyed the 'handhelds' at the bar. October 10, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for a decent price We were attending two different events at the Webster Bank Arena which was a 5 minute walk from the Holiday Inn. It worked out very nicely for our little weekend trip. We got the option that included breakfast for both of us. It was only $10 extra dollars a day. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it definitely gave us the energy we needed. Plus for $5 a person you can't really complain when you're getting unlimited bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, muffins, milk and juice. The windows in the room didn't open, which I understand for safety reasons but considering it was a smoking room it would have been nice to at least crack them open for some form of ventilation. The walls were a little thin as we could hear the guests in the room next to us, but it wasn't anything dramatic. Overall a good spot to stay especially if you are going to be heading to Webster Bank Arena for a sports event or concert. October 2, 2013
