Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Housecleaning Reserved a non-smoking room and at check-in was told they had no non-smoking rooms available. At check-in the room had hair in the sink and was dirty. We purchased some beverages the next several evenings and on both occasions after the room was cleaned the dirty glasses were left on the table. Complained and the desk clerk wrote it down in the log but that did not help. At check-out, we complained again and were told that because we booked through a third party, they could not refund any of the money we paid for the room. At least the desk clerk did comp us the parking and gave us a free breakfast which was very nice of her. October 20, 2013

I thought I was in Baghdad with all the shuttered bldg & graffiti .. It's the only thing that took away from our stay. October 17, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Family Weekend October 4 - 7, 2013 Overall we had a really good stay the only drawback was the noisy a/c - it was located inside the room near the head of the bed, so when it came on it was noisy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The young lady that checked us in on Friday (Oct 4, 2013) was very warm and personable. The only reason that Bridgeport-Trumbull-Fairfield gets a 4 star is because of the a/c. Thanks to the staff they were helpful and informative, the food was also good. We also enjoyed the 'handhelds' at the bar. October 10, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location for a decent price We were attending two different events at the Webster Bank Arena which was a 5 minute walk from the Holiday Inn. It worked out very nicely for our little weekend trip. We got the option that included breakfast for both of us. It was only $10 extra dollars a day. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it definitely gave us the energy we needed. Plus for $5 a person you can't really complain when you're getting unlimited bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, muffins, milk and juice. The windows in the room didn't open, which I understand for safety reasons but considering it was a smoking room it would have been nice to at least crack them open for some form of ventilation. The walls were a little thin as we could hear the guests in the room next to us, but it wasn't anything dramatic. Overall a good spot to stay especially if you are going to be heading to Webster Bank Arena for a sports event or concert. October 2, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Really Dirty Windows First off I know that it is impossible to help where the hotel is actually located but in this case if I knew in advance that I was getting into the really "scary" part of town I would have made other arrangements. This seriously cut into our ability to relax and was compounded by the less than friendly staff. I was genuinely appalled by the fact that our windows were completely covered with slime. It is as if a whole bus of children attacked these windows. (photo was taken with my cell and is not that good - but imagine what you see times 10 and you will get an idea of how grossed out we were) I would think this would be something that is cleaned when each guest changes but I guess that is not the case at this location. There was also a rather odd/off odor in the halls that permeated into the room a bit. We did have a good experience in the Martini bar and with parking etc. so the stay was not completely bad just definitely not the best I have had with Holiday Inn properties. September 19, 2013

The hotel is quite pretty inside although the area is a bit dodgy. The room could have been cleaner, but was not "dirty". Hotel staff was very friendly. Would stay again. September 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 Minute walk to train station If you're planning a visit to NY city, this hotel is a great place to stay. a quick walk to the train station and you'll have a relaxing ride into the City without the hassles of the New York traffic. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable, with great showers, the rooms offer free wifi, and the staff is very nice. Also, we had delicious dinners in the hotel restaurant. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Poor Breakfast We were impressed with the quality and comfort of the hotel as a whole and the room in particular. However the buffet breakfast was poor. Stale bread still in the original packaging, a poor selection of croissants and other pastries that were not well presented the cellophane was still over the tray. The hot food was also not appetising with beyond crispy more like snappy bacon and soggy thin sausage patties the worst breakfast by a significant margin in a 21 day tour of New York and New England. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Bridgeport. The parking garage was very convenient and there were several nice restaurants within walking distance. The shuttle service provided was very convenient as well. August 27, 2013

Love the staff; they are excellent and always do the right thing! I highly recommend this to all my friends coming to Bridgeport. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Accommodations and Service My family and I were in Bridgeport over the 4th of July weekend for the Spain Family Reunion, and I must say the hotel staff was superb! During check in, the reception desk personnel were extremely accommodating, very professional, and greeted my brother and I with welcoming smiles. Olivia especially went above and beyond with a special room accommodations request we made during our check in. She didn’t hesitate to act in response and cater to our every need, and she was very knowledgeable and efficient in handling it without any noticeable delays. It was my first stay in Bridgeport and the hotel, and I’ll make plans to stay there the next time I’m in town. The restaurant and lounge staff did a fantastic job every time we visited their facilities. Their services were prompt and very pleasant. Kudos to the entire workforce and hotel management…thank you all for making our stay one to remember! July 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good choice If you need to stay around Bridgeport, this Holiday Inn is a good choice & reasonably priced. The city of Bridgeport seems a bit rough, so it was reassuring when we had to swipe our keycard to access the elevator from the lobby to the guest rooms. Marshall at the front desk was very efficient, friendly, and accommodating. When we couldn't connect to the Wifi, a friendly techie was dispatched to our room in short order to remedy the problem. Being Priority Club members, we received special perks like a room up-grade to the executive floor, discounts at breakfast, and a welcome package. This stay solidified our good feelings about the Holiday Inn brand. We also try to seek out various locations of the Holiday Inn Express, where a generous hot breakfast is included in the price of the room. May 26, 2013
