nice hotel not so good food or price

The hotel is pleasant and right on the sea front, in easy reach of shops and restaurants etc.
We dinned in the restaurant one evening the waitress was very pleasant but they didn't have the draught beer that was available in the lounge bar and I was not able to order it in the restaurant, but had to leave my table to get a pint of beer and was informed I would be ALLOWED to bring it in the restaurant.

When we ordered a desert we were told of the list of things they didn't have and placed the order.
when a different waitress to the first brought them on one plate (two desserts) she simply took one off and placed it with the ice cream spilling all down the sides and gave the plate to the second person then walked off
consequently I caught her eye and asked for another plate, which she offered some what reluctantly
Needless to say not briliant

The staff, although polite, speak almost no English. The room had no fridge or TV. Food was diabolical: dry; tasteless.

Very poor service from staff

On arrival balcony was not cleaned and had cigarette butts. Balcony had old rusted chairs and a rusted table. Hotel charges £5 tray charge when ordering in-house food to the room! Plates in the breakfast area were filthy. No ventilation in the bathroom and not allowed to keep the door of the bathroom open due to the hotels sensitive fire alarm system. Our room was not cleaned properly when we came back in the evening. The room was cold with no temperature control. Staff help reluctantly when approached with a complaint with no acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience.

Average Hotel.reception area redone well

This is an average hotel however the staff are really slow and have no idea what is going on. The rooms are ok and you never get upgraded whatever your status at this hotel.

Very Nice Hotel

Stayed in with work for a few days during June 2016.
Room clean and tidy with a very modern lovely bathroom. Room was nicely furnished but could do with the sliding wardrobes being replaced to finish the room off nicely.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and have booked to return next year.

Conference Stay

I stayed here whilst attending a conference. The room allocated was in need of some updating, the windows in particular were misted up and very close to the properties across the side passageway.

The public areas of the hotel were constantly busy and not very relaxing, The restaurant was good for breakfast but evening dinner was in a burger form(primarily) a somewhat restricted menu. Additionally, the background music just added to the general noise. The alternative was a small bar area which served standard foods, but which was far to small for the size of the hotel.

The hotel is somewhat rambling and in need of further updating
