Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Friendly helpful service Service in the hotel was friendly, helpful and attentive. It was a pleasure to stay in the hotel and I would not think twice about staying again. Food was all tasty and to a great standard. Prices were reasonable for what you were receiving. Compliments go out to all the staff who are all doing this hotel and hotel group a great justice just by doing what should be expected from a great hotel. Only thing that was at fault in the hotel was that I did not have a socket near my bed to charge my phone overnight and so had to have the phone at the other side of the room. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good reception- downhill after that Checking in was positive experience, both friendly & welcoming; D,B & B rate, on this rate choice from menu is extremely restricted, My choice, Burger, was dry and inedible, service was poor, ' offer of bread roll, as my choice for starter would be delayed a further 10 minutes. Thereafter waited 20 minutes for main course and 20 minutes for desert, all equally poor in taste and presentation. Room, 311, is accompanied by a compressor running constantly below (goes off at 11:00pm but returns aroun 5:00 am) On checkout was given wrong room (211) this was a £40 lower rate again DB&B, Booking through IHG lowest. Rate is conditional On advising my displeasure at checkout, desk apologised and hoped I would come back again! Responses are automatic, no sincerity Thouroughly disappointed February 28, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed Although the stay was good there were a few issues namely, an additional charge of £5 was added for overnight parking and internet although advertised as free is actual free for 256 mb but then a charge is applied for greater speeds. None of these extra charges are made clear when booking online and is not transparent at the booking process. February 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Slight disappointment After many super experiences at this hotel we needed to book a special night's stay; so booked an executive room. It was beautifully presented as we have come to expect; but we were woken at 5 am by the sound of kitchen fans below us (we were on the second floor#. As we had only checked-in at 1am it did ruin our night's sleep. Mentioning this next morning we were told that all the executive room have to put up with this noise ... just a bit odd for the most expensive rooms in the hotel! The receptionist said this was being sorted. We remain to be convinced, and would welcome some recompense for a poor experience after many good #and cheaper!) ones. February 26, 2015
