Because of engineering works on the railway we decided to stay at the hotel again so we could guarantee making our flight from Bristol Airport the following morning. February 12, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very convinient location very plesant hotel in a convenient location for the airport. the room was very clean and the staff friendly. the shuttle bus to the airport was on time and efficient although it is small and cant take too many people, and you can't book it in advance which is a pitty. tea making fascility in the room was good but no personal toiletries this time and no pencil and paper (cut backs i guess) there was a little confusion over parking charges, we wanted to park the car for 3 "nights" after we checked out, but they wanted to charge us for 4 "days" as we werent collecting it until after 5 pm. this was quite different from a previous visit, so we settled on 3 nights. we have noticed metal railings indicating building works out side at the front of the hotel for the last 3 years very odd!! and spoils the look of the frontage. still i would reccomend it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by at the last minute we decided to stay over before our flight We were travelling from South Devon to catch our holiday flight from Bristol airport and decided to take the stess out of an early morning drive by staying at the holiday inn , just a couple of miles from the airport. The Hotel was excellent and we will be staying again in the future. Having driven passed on may occasions the hotel is great and very welcoming from the minut we walked through the doors. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy air conditioning unit This hotel is very clearly a one stop shop for people staying prior to a flight out of Bristol Airport and therefore I feel it lacks the attention to detail or customer service that I have found in other locations of the Holiday Inn. Rooms were comfortable and clean, bar meals were good value for money. Hotel is sited in a good position for easy access to and from motorway. Well worth the visit. January 30, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable clean close to the airport We have stayed at this hotel twice a year for the past eight years and have seen a few changes, when we first came the free shuttle service attracted us. Then that was done away with,we use to eat at the hotel in the room but after too many poor experiences and a very exclusive (limited ) menu and very often cold we stopped eating here. The overall experience is good but it is not a wow factor just a good hotel near the airport. January 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff With Charm During our brief stay, the staff on duty were bright and very welcoming. In particular, Jan on reception couldn't have been more helpful in assisting with our travel arrangements to a near by function. The only problem was the room was freezing and despite setting the air-con to heat, the room remained cold. We arrived back at the room in the early hours and sleep was more important than reporting the issue. Great breakfast and impressed to be asked if we wanted eggs cooking upon arrival (which were perfect) 3 Gold Stars from me! :) January 15, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cold hotel We expected better of a Holiday Inn. When we arrived it was very wet and windy, and we needed heating to dry off and warm up. The room was cold, and the individual heating system did not work. While we waited, in soaking wet coats, we rang reception several times, and were told that they would be switching on the heating for our room, from reception. Nothing happened. So, eventually we INSISTED that we were given heating, and then a janitor arrived with a free standing, plug in heater. Also, we wanted to connect to the internet, but could not find any instructions in the room. The same janitor operated our computer, and connected us. We had previously been staying in a similar, but cheaper hotel, where the reception staff were very welcoming and pleasant, and the rooms were larger and had larger bathrooms, and the individual heating worked very well, so we were able to make a direct comparison. This particular Holiday Inn did not compare very well. January 13, 2014

All the staff were very helpful - at check in, at the bar in the evening and at breakfast. I only stayed one night on my way to France on holiday, but will certainly do so again in the future. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor food stayed there xmas day , hotel up to the brands usual standard, but at breakfast we were told food would take a bit longer as it was all cooked to order as the hotel was not busy, what a joke ! food was cold and sausages mushrooms and tomatoes were obviously reheated , would never risk staying there again, there are plenty of other local hotel with nice food January 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay We had an early morning flight to catch and having seen the weather forecast for the early hours of the morning decided to try to find a hotel to spend the night near the airport. It was Boxing Day evening and we were relieved to find there was a room available. We drove for two and a half hours through storm and rain to get to Bristol arriving very tired at about 11pm. The hotel was perfect. Parking was easy. The staff were helpfull, cheerfull and efficient. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet and peacefull. We slept well. Everything worked. And we left for the Airport at 5.30am. So I can't comment on the quality of the food or other facilities provided. But i would recommend it highly from our experience. January 5, 2014

Overall the hotel is of a good standard, reception staff were responsive, but did not offer any additional services i might expect as a member of the affinity card. The breakfast staff were acceptable but could have made a little more effort. while situated very near to the village of Wrington there was no way to get there other than an expensive taxi. The shuttle was strictly airport only. having said that the room allocated was a disabled room, not requested, however due to nature of visit did not ask to be re sited , on other occasions would have requested standard room. there was no electrical socket near to bed for laptop! So a few gripes but overall standards were fine. January 5, 2014

However, it proved the perfect place to stay when visiting family in the area during Christmas week. I could not find fault with any aspect of the hotel during my stay. January 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Service, No Sleep and Room smelt of cooking Booked the Holiday Inn Bristol Airport for 2 adults and 2 children for 2nd January 2014 ready to be at Bristol airport for 05:00. Nice welcome at hotel but that is as far as it went. Got to room 311 and there was strong smell of cooking think room was above kitchen, had to spray deodorant to get rid of smell. We rang down to reception to report that the TV in room was not working and were told that someone would come to fix the problem in 10 minutes we waited but no one turned up. Then we were all woken at 12:45 by a screeching noise, called down to reception at 01:30 as it still hadn't stopped explained to reception that the noise was coming from outside, 02:00 the noise still hadn't stopped called back down to reception and was told someone came to listen at the landing but could not hear anything. Told them again it was coming from outside, met night receptionist at landing and explained again that noise was coming from outside not the landing, he came in room the agreed noise was coming from outside! At about 02:30 noise stopped and finally managed to get back to sleep, for an 1 hour or so before having to get up 04:00. Reported our discontent whilst checking out, the reception was very unsympathetic and told me there was nothing he could do and I would need to wait for Holiday Inn to contact me on Friday! as yet we have had no contact from Holiday Inn. Needless to say that we were all very tired travelling the next day after a very sleepless night (Especially our 4 year daughter) which made the next days travelling very difficult and basically the night spent at the hotel was a total waste of time and money. Never again will I stay here. January 4, 2014
