4 of us ordered food , first meal came out after 5 minutes, 2nd & 3rd after 35 minutes without side orders. After 1 hour & complaining the 4 th meal arrived still without out side orders.

Very disappointing - the decor was worn and tatty throughout, the staff were cold and unhelpful and I waited nearly 15 minutes for some of the worst bar service I've ever had. I stayed here a decade ago and it was fine, but has got very run down since then.

Enjoyed stay at this hotel, room was smaller than expected but this was minor fault. Breakfast was excellent. Pool was also very good.

I have spent the most part of the last two weeks at this hotel, and although it wasa lovely place with very friendly front-of-house staff and an exceptionally lovely breakfast team, I was disappointed for a couple of reasons.
1. I stay in a lot of Holiday Inns, this one was not exceptional, but was phenomenally more expensive for a night's stay (I stayed in Wembly the other day and it was 2/3 of the price). I feel that there cost is a monopoly on the area, and do not feel there are any exceptional reasons for this cost.
2. Due to the expense, I wanted to enquire about a rate for frequent stays (my colleagues and I would be coming back), but it took four converstions with the hotel reception staff, and 3 conversations with the sales team to get a response. Additionally, promised phone calls and e-mails were not sent. I was disappointed with the sales team's lack of communication.
Overall, no better than any other Holiday Inn, Overpriced, and bd communication. Sadly I was dissapointed with my stay.

We had an enjoyable stay, which was one night after we had attended the New Year Gala Ball. The hotel is very nice and staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast on Jan 1st with a full hotel was extremely well run and there was no waiting for a table, plenty of delicious food items.
The food at the ball was excellent as were the decorations and table décor. The only thing that spoiled the evening was the disco. A DJ who refused to deviate from his "set list", he did relinquish once! It took him a long time to get the idea of what music we all liked but once midnight had gone the last hour was better - mind you most people were past caring! The location of the hotel is among trees and lakes - very nice.

Generally Holiday Inn - Filton was nice experience. Bathroom needs updating and outside hotel looks tires. Inside, main areas after refurb. Rooms may need a little update but generally fine for price. Breakfast - very good buffet - great choice hot and cold. Dinner - excellent 3 course well cooked. Staff - pleasant. Pool and gym - small. New Year celebration nice and pleasant.
Air con was not working.

My family stayed for 4 nights for the new year break. The receptionist Juliette greeted us warmly and she was very helpful to ensure my family members stayed in rooms closely. We had a wonderful time during the stay.

You know this isn't the Ritz Carlton when you are booking it, so don't expect the Ritz Carlton. Yes the walls are thin and personally I have been spoiled by the huge beds on offer in most American hotels; but this hotel is ideally located in a surprisingly quiet spot. The breakfast was great; the service was attentive and the price was excellent.
Any issues we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
We will be staying here again; especially at the price we were offered.

we stayed at the Holiday Inn Filton Bristol for one night on 28 December. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We overlooked the gardens at the back of the building which was nice. Breakfast was very good, and although we went down quite late the hot buffet was still being refilled with fresh produce, it didn't appear that food had been sitting on the hot plates for any length of time. Very impressed. Service was good and staff pleasant.
we had a bargain deal through IHG as well so overall an excellent weekend.

We stay in a Holiday Inn each time we visit our family. This one at Filton is one of our most often visited and also a place that we love to be.
Rooms are warm, comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly, and there is a real welcome when we show up.
Our children will propbably never own houses large enough to accomodate their parents but no matter as this Holiday Inn meets all our needs.

Got a great room for a great price but was let down by a few things. We had booked a cot when I booked a room but this was not in the room when I checked in. I mentioned it on arrival that we needed a cot and the receptionist said there wasn't one in the room now but he would get it sorted for when I returned later that night. On arriving back about 9.30 there was still no cot in the room. We had 2 very sleepy children so I did not bother going back and asking for one ad just needed to get them to bed. Also we used the sofa bed but had to ask for sheets, duvet and pillows as there was none provided in the room. Surely if there is a sofa bed then extra items should be provided ad standard??
I have to say breakfast wad excellent and very tasty and I made several trips back to the buffet! All in all an ok stay but let down by lack of attention to detail.

We have recommend this hotel
on many occasions and stayed there many times but this time even though the staff were helpful everything else seemed to have deteriorated and was of a poorer quality. The beds were two stuck together and very hard with the duvets being much thiner with sheets not the quality we remembered. The general feel of the hotel
was sub standard this time. Saying that we have just arrived at the Holiday Inn Brent Cross and as we walked into the bar there was a group of people eating there own food out of Tupperware containers. The coffee cup was filthy. The banquette was full
of holes and the restaurant was so univong we are contemplating going to the marriott down the road for dinner. The selection of films looked good on a positive note. For £200 for a one night stay with no breakfast. We were hoping for better than that. I can't remember the last time we complained about anything but seeing how disappointing this is for us and how often we use Holiday Inn we felt we had to draw this to your attention.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Filton whilst on business quite frequently in 2013 and I can honestly say I have never experienced customer service like this. Not one of my requests was too much trouble and I was greeted every morning and every evening with a smile. A big thank you to all the staff and to the management for training their staff to such an incredibly high standard.

I would totally recommend this hotel, we had an executive room that was of a very high standard, clean and comfort. Only stay the night as we where visiting family in Bristol, but the staff was friendly and knowledgable.
Also this hotel has security parking, which is great to know that my car was safe during my stay. Finally love the view from my room, overlooking the pond.

Stayed several times at this hotel. Staff always happy and willing to help. Nice and convenient gym and pool. Much needed after being in the lovely oriental restaurant.

We have stayed many times at this hotel and always had an enjoyable experience. The hotel is old in design, built during the 1960 s (not holiday inn) and compared to modern hotels the rooms are smaller than expected, especially the 'exec' rooms. Clean and warm but drab decorations in the public area's. Breakfast is always excellent but this time better, even had warm plates which is not always the case.
Friendly and very pleasant reception staff. There were Xmas parties going on but no problems with noise.

Warm welcome on a cold Sunday night after a long drive. Delicious meal and a peacfull nights sleep. Meeting room booked for the next day all set up as ordered. Internet set up ready and room laid out as agreed. Time for a quick breakfast. Again warm welcome, nothing too much trouble. Invoicing ready once we finished. Perfect

This is a really nice hotel with plenty of amenities like a pool etc and friendly staff. The downside is that it is a taxi ride away from anything else and you may need a bank loan to have a drink at the bar!

The oriental restaurant was superb food, good value. Unfortuantely, a sofa bed was broken, leading to a restless night for one of our party & drunken party goers woke us all at 4am. However, the manager responded to our poor night's sleep by a refund in full - very contrite and apologetic. He also was touring the evening before asking guests if all was well - a very impressive individual. Overall, a lovely hotel, nice views over park area at rear, we are a group of 6 girlfriends on a shopping trip and would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was a good size, very clean. We could not fault the breakfast and would have no hesitation in staying again in the future.

I felt really welcome when Sebastian greeted me by name on arrival at the hotel despite not having stayed there for a while.
I was pleased to find a new menu at the Holiday Inn Filton, and prices seem similar to the previous so it's nice to see that the updated menu hasn't resulted in increased prices which is often the case.
A member of staff in the bar explained that he was new to the job which was appreciated as you can then be more patient when placing an order.
I'll be back again soon.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful and to treat guests with respect.
At breakfast there was an amazing choice of food that would satisfy most peoples requirements.
The indoor pool was popular having a temperature of 29 degrees centigrade, and the gym had a variety of exercise apparatus, both free for the use of hotel guests.
Most popular free-view TV channels were available, but an additional selection of TV channels, films and Wi-Fi were available at extra cost.
The grounds were spacious and included a landscaped area with an ornamental pool, and there is a children's play area and adventure playground on the opposite side of the building. The car park was well lit during the hours of darkness.
The weather was cold outside during our stay, but the temperature in the room although not particularly warm, was acceptable. The temperature controller on the wall in the room did not appear to be functional.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
