Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by expectations We enjoy staying at Holiday Inn because we know the beds will be comfortable, the rooms clean and well equipped and the staff courteous and helpful. We are looking forward to free wi-fi as this is standard in the majority of hotels today. Our only issue was the noisy revellers returning at 4am but there is little a 24hr hotel can do to prevent this from happening. June 16, 2014

Really enjoyed this hotel - the room we got was actually an upgrade from what I had booked, so we were in an Executive Room with a view over the lake. The room was clean, very stylish, and the customer service was very good. Hot, powerful showers as well. Breakfast the next day was great as well - very good selection with the usual cooked English breakfast, fruit, cereals etc but also a pancake maker. Loved it! Just wish I had remembered my swimming costumes, as they had some for sale but they were quite expensive! June 11, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast needs a wee bit of attention I have stayed in this hotel a few times and each time found it to be excellent value. A wee bit of confusion around breakfast the last time I stayed (5th - 6th June 2014) with too many people just seating themselves. Also on looking below the table last nights spilled chips had not been vacuumed so perhaps a wee cleaning issue. No problem recommending or returning as staff and facilities great. June 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Room and training room This is a very well positioned hotel. Close to motorways but set in parkland with plenty of parking. Staff are very helpful. Particular thank you to the conference center staff. Training room was comfortable. well equipped and well air conditioned if a little remote from the refreshment and loos. Hotel food well above average both in the pan asian restaurant and also conference food. Correct utensils would be helpful but I think this was an oversight. Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. My only criticism is of the bar prices. £10 for a large glass of Chilean red is OTT! Enjoyed my visit and will definitely use this hotel again. The hotel grounds are very well maintained a peaceful end to each day .We will return as soon as possible. Please retain smoking rooms we think it is a must in terms of personal freedom . However we were allowed to take up the offer within 6 months and this was very much appreciated. My wife is disabled and the room could not have been better. My wife cannot manage stairs so we do need a hotel for B June 4, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wedding venue Was a guest at a wedding and had a fantastic experience. The hotel doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but once inside it was a different story. It was modern light an airy. Our room was very clean with everything we needed for an overnight stay, with a great view overlooking the fountain which had been switch on for the bride and groom. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend staying here. May 29, 2014

Lovely bedroom with a great view of the pond with the fountain, What a lovely outlook to wake upto in the morning. Group of us had dinner in Sampans restaurant, great service and choice of dishes. Very enjoyable evening. Following a great nights sleep, enjoyed a lovely breakfast, great choice, hot and plenty to choose from. I will definitely have no problem recommending this hotel to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay, I look forward to visiting again. May 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn of high quality Good first impressions are important and this we got entering the Main Entrance/Reception area. It was clean, light with nice décor. Reception staff were welcoming and dealt with our registration very efficiently. Our room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. As there were two of us a second chair would have been beneficial. The restaurant and bar area were both comfortable. The staff were very helpful and smiled a lot. The breakfast menu was excellent and the evening meals although of good standard needed a greater variety. May 22, 2014

The staff were all professional , approachable and friendly. The reception staff were able to answer all questions and there knowledge was beneficial to my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning. The on site gym with pool and sauna were also of a good standard and was very clean with again great staff to help you. May 21, 2014

Very comfortable bed, excellent, strong shower. Very nice dinner and plenty of choice at breakfast. Only negatives that you have to pay for Wifi which is annoying, and shame they leave the TV on in the room from an energy saving perspective. May 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cold room I have used H I for a number of years and this is the first time that I have been disappointed in that initially I had no control over the room temperature. I had arrived during a heavy rain and hail storm and consequently was quite wet. No problem I thought , the rooms are usually warm . Not this time. The radiator was stone cold and the hearing element of the room air con unit had been disabled by the hotel staff. When I complained to reception I was told that the the heating had been turned off because the sun was shining and that it would be on later on in the evening. Having paid for an executive room (or any room) I find this unacceptable that hotel management dictate guests comfort level. I expect to be able to control my own environment as weather conditions change especially with the fickle weather we experience in UK. Please change this dictatorial policy at this hotel. The only real room for improvement is reducing external noise of traffic, which sometimes wakes me early - probably would need new windows, but recognise this would require major investment. Although all the staff are excellent I must mention the personnel in the bar area, any issues are resolved very quickly and efficiently no matter how small the problem is. May 6, 2014

Not much room for Hotel Guests in the pool on a Saturday morning when classes underway. Floor numbers very puzzling, with ground floor having the number 4, Why?? Nice customer service, pleasant and kindly staff, clean rooms and a generally nice atmosphere. I haven't tried the gym and pool facilities yet, but I will next time. I must add that the breakfast is very good, with excellent service. April 27, 2014
