Would recommend this hotel due to friendly and courteous staff. Comfortable and nice stay with family. It was worth for price paid. Was impressed with open lobby and high ceiling in restaurant area.

Overall , Good experience at this hotel., Rooms were very clean and organized. One pool was out of service, during our stay but the larger one was open. I did not see an elevator, so if you have lots of luggage, request first floor. Courteous staff. Conveniently located to shopping and good restaurants.

Beds and pillows were good. AC not working properly; staff did not clean up room; only did beds; did not take wet towels which made the room smell muggy. Not enough towels in the room. No ice in the machine.

The room that I stayed in was very humid and musty. My wife kept coughing through out the night due to the humidity. We would not stay at this hotel in our future travels.

Clean rooms and courteous staff. We were travelling with kids and it was very convenient as they had 2 swimming pools of which one was next to the restaurant which serves good food. My family enjoyed their vacation at Holiday Inn Brownsville. I would definitely come back and they here again.

Very good staff and clean room, and very convenient located and Mr PV was very helpful, very nice swimming pool, the hotel bed is very comfortable, and lot of tv channels.

We had an excelent stay at this hotel. A clean and quit room, a good air conditioner, good TV channels and an two excelent clean pools. The only bad thing is that it does not include breakfast. It is centrally located and you can go everywhere in a 5 minutes drive.

the room was big enough. the a/c worked really well and kept the room cold. the bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. the staff is very friendly. the pool was very big and family oriented.

Las condiciones del cuarto no fueron muy buenas, ya que las instalaciones lucen viejas, por otra parte la primera noche se activo la alarma de incendios a las 3:30 de la madrugada desalojamos el Hotel y en 10 minutos nos dijeron que regresaramos a nuetra habitacion. al dia siguiente nadie nos dio ninguna explicacion del motivo de esto y porque paso esta falsa alarma estuve una noche mas y ni cuando me retire me dieron ninguna explicacion y la verdad ni mi familia ni yo pudimos dormir tranquilos esa noche y tampoco la noche siguiente ya que nadie nos dio ninguna explicacion de esto.

we did not like our stay at all. when checking in on time we found our room was still not ready. the key wouldn't open our door so we had to walk a long way late at night to fix this problem. the fridge was'nt cooling.
no elevators. our breakfast was paid for but we had problems getting it since staff had no idea of our reservation.

Puedo comentar que le falta mentenimeinto a la mayoria de las cosas en ese Hotel.
Regularmente me hospedo en esta cadena Hotelera y este Hotel es el mas descuidado que me ha tocado.
Los Aires acondicionados hacen mucho ruido
Las habitaciones huelen a humedad y a viejo. Las puertas estan pintadas sobre pintura sobre pintira, no da buen aspecto, Algunos accesorios de los baños y los closets estan oxidados. En general se nota que no han invertido lo suficiente para tener este Hotel en buenas condiciones.

Esta es la tercera vez en un año que me hospedo en este hotel, pero realmente en esta ocacion no senti que me dieran valor como huesped IHG. Al llegar mostre mi ID de IHG y no me dieron la bienvenida, la habitacion que me dieron estaba demasiado lejos, no hubiera habido problema si me hubieran dicho o recomendado que llevara mi carro hasta la puerta mas cercana a mi habitacion y el primer dia no funciono el WIFI ni con el cable de ethernet por fallas en la compañia que presta servicio de internet.

General experience in hosting is good, only some moisture in the atmosphere and room. The bed is very good and the breakfast too, there is diversity. I use this hotel for its location.
I want to share a serious problem that causron me to make the charge for my 3 night stay, since I entered the hotel introduced the credit card where I needed to do the job for hosting and trusted to do so but NOT so! Some time later I realized I made the wrong charge card, which he had used on a previous occasion and it generated me a serious economic problem because I did not realize.
Do not understand why you did not heed my request, if I was very clear in presenting the credit card at reception? It is my biggest annoyance therefore would consider Reason for not staying there again.

Room was hot and humid. Air conditioner seemed like a mack truck running through the room . Complained about it and they could not do anything to fix the problem or accomodate me to another room. No sleep so I had to go find another hotel location to sleep at. Loss my money over bad service. Never again will I stay at this location.

Room was super humid and a/c would not cool the room. It was so humid the carpet was moist. Also, gardeners started mowing lawn early which made it hard to sleep in.

Very nice hotel. The exterior of the hotel is very pleasing to the eyes. The lobby of the hotel is very inviting. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed myself. I did like that they had two pools. They may want to consider adding a hot tub.
The only negative that I can say about the hotel was the hallways leading to the rooms on the first floor. They smelled very musty and sweaty, the interior of a gym locker room. I think if they replaced the carpets in the building, it would correct the problem.
I will stay at this facility again when I travel to the Brownsville area.
I want to give a shout out to the staff in Sales and Banquet services. Keep up the awesome job! Outstanding customer service!

The front desk employees were very pleasant and professional. Room was a little small but very clean and sufficient. The only problem I had was the false alarm on the first night. I was awoken with the fire alarm going off at 2:15 in the morning. Startled and frustrated after being outside with many guests for a few minutes only to be told it was a false alarm. It definitely took a while to go back to sleep. I will stay there again next time I am in town.

We stayed there for two nights on 2/10 and 2/11/2014. It was cold, and the heater unit was our nightmare. It had VERY LOUD noise when it was on, like metal grinding noise. To make the matter worse, on/off was much more frequent than normal. It was turned on again only a few minutes after it was off. Needless to say that we did not get good sleep at all. We understand it's an older hotel, but it should definitely be better maintained.

En general el hotel tiene una buena ubicadión, las instalaciones son promedio, pero en la tina de baño, el agua se acumula y y tarda mucho en vaciarse, el mecanismo no funciona bien, ya que si no se percibe, el aguja se quedará acumulada por muchas horas.

All of the cups on my table were dirty. They had been washed but still had coffee stains. I asked for a clean cup and while waiting for it, noticed the water glasses were similar. I left my free breakfast (I am platinum with Priority Club) and went somewhere clean to eat.
The room was worn looking but nothing specificly wrong.
I asked if theere was an ice machine on my floor and was told there was one. After trapesing around to find it, i found it did not work. The desk clerk got me ice but should have saved me the time to find the busted machine.
This would be a nice hotel if it was properly maintained.

This trip was supposed to be a 5 night stay which I cut short to only 1 night after having been in the hotel only about 3.5 hours. The rooms were very worn and not kept up to date, the entire hall smelled horrible, and furniture badly needed to be replaced or repaired. We waited for over 2 hours for a roll away and never got it, which resulted in me having to sleep on the chair all night since my son and wife were on the bed. The swimming pool was very dirty. When we arrived, I was told there was nobody to help us with all our luggage. In the morning the restaurant did not offer a breakfast buffet, and when i took an order to go, i realized my order was was missing its bacon when i got to the room. In 2013, I stayed over 150 nights in hotels in 15 different states but this took the cake for being the worse one i've seen.
