Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing We were VERY DISAPPOINTED with our stay at the facility. We found the desk clerk Richard to be very rude. We had asked where the nearest Catholic Church was and his response was that it was about 15 minutes away. He then proceeded to work on his computer without providing any further assistance. We found the info we needed in the yellow pages book in our room. Our experience in the restaurant was a real disaster. It took 25 minutes to get our food.Including us, there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. When I asked the server what was taking so long her response was one of the fryers were down. The food we ordered did NOT require a fryer. At 715 am I noticed what appeared to be the cook walking in the front door. That's why it took so long for our food. The coffee was not even hot it was Luke warm and tasted like it was left over from the previous day. We stayed here before but will NOT be returning in the future. March 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast The hotel was under renovation, my only complaint is the following: If you are looking for a "free breakfast" do not stay here. I am a Platinum Member of IHG, and had I known that a breakfast was not to be included in the room "which I found out after being in the room for an hour" I would have gone to another brand that had a good breakfast. Hotels like this one, should have a big sign that says, "BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED" in the desk. I will not stay there again. March 3, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable sleeping, Once there is a spot for your car This property is under renovation. Good for them, bad for us! Check back in 6-8 months. We don't like to be inconvenienced, so this was a big deal for us..... No coffee.... No Lobby... No Pool.... No PARKING!!! Our bed was very comfortable, our room was quiet. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay This Holiday Inn isn't far from most points of interest in the area. I was pleased with the staff and the way we were treated. The only part of my stay I was disappointed in was the swimming pool. My kids were looking forward to some pool time and the pool was an indoor/outdoor pool and unfortunately was freezing when they went to get in. Other than that, I was pleased as I usually am with the IHG brand. March 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good experience Yes, they are currently under construction and it does need it. The carpet in our room was very outdated, but the room was clean. We are Rewards Club members and normally receive a welcome bag and/or free breakfast when we check in at other properties, but we were offered neither. We were staying overnight due to a minor surgery and were set to return for post-op the next day, and even though they were doing construction, it was very quiet most of the time. March 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Deal and Relaxing Very clean, great staff, always helpful. Rooms clean and detailed. Microwave and Fridge in room. Buy stuff before you get there. Restaurant OK but always crowded. Good menu but food was very salty. Had a bit of everything but a bit pricey. Breakfast however was excellent and well priced. Price and value of this is excellent. It is right next to I-95 so an excellent location. It is app 6 hours from Miami if heading south. I use this as a halfway point so I can time the traffic thru Jacksonville. Big comfortable bed, TV and WiFi capable. Bathroom was a big point for me, a HUGE walk in shower unlike the coffin showers in most hotels. The Express has transformed itself over the years getting better. Recommended. February 28, 2015
