Everything was fine except the internet. For me is very surprising that in 21st century is sill charging you extra with internet in your room. And charge is not symbolic. It is 18 euro for 12 hours.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by moolman It's cheap, it's outside of town.
It's an older hotel, a bit worn down but for the price I can't complain. There's no easy public transportation to get to the city so just be aware. Parking is free if you park outside and you pay if you want to be in the garage. Outside parking seemed fine and safe. My rental car was an Opel and there were BMWs and Audis parked outside, so I would hope they would steal those before an Opel.
My only complaint would be that the Hotel charges for internet even for Platinum members. I stayed in a couple of other Holiday Inns during my stay in Europe and this was the one and only Holiday Inn and any hotel for that matter that charged for internet. Other Holiday Inns may charge for internet but they gave it free for Platinum members at least.

As an advantage, quietness, the guest room and other facilities that looked modern, cost-to-stay performance (excluding the extra internet connection and in-hotel restaurant with the menu looked little too pricey), and the proximity to a local supermarket which had a decent food court. As a disadvantage, extra Internet, restaurant menu that was little too pricey, business center that offered minimum equipment (a terminal and a printer), and no exercise room. By the time I ate a couple of meals in the hotel, and used the Internet, which is free in most of the comparable hotels, I could not justify the rate to stay as no longer reasonable, though not out of the market price. The efficiency and friendliness of the front desk were just the average. Overall, would I recommend it to others to stay? Yes, if you are a business traveler like me who is looking for quietness, decent bed, and a clean room. No, if you are expecting more than basic convenience (i.e., shopping at a supermarket and food court), quietness and decent sleep.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by FrankN Disappointing - will not bother coming back
I am a gold member of priority club as i stay often in holiday-inns. This was the worst. Business center is a joke (printer with ink, computer obsolete), internet service is bad and expensive. Service attitude to solve problems does not exist.
I do not recommend this place

We enjoyed our stay at the Budapest Holiday Inn because of your excellent fron desk staff. They help us get oriented on our trip into Budapest and gave us advise on local transportaion. The room was very nice and comfortable. We would definetly stay again.
