Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Un hôtel pour bien récupèrer Un voyage fatiguant, une journée bien remplie et/ou un travail prenant doivent être suivis d'un repos et d'une restauration de grande qualité. L’hôtel holiday Inn Buffalo-Downtown répond certainement à ce besoin mais lorsqu'il accueille des groupes, il y a des agissements collectifs bruyants dans les couloirs qui pourraient être atténués en invitant les gens à respecter le sommeil des autres (notamment avec un panneau à l'entrée après une certaine heure la nuit). De même, le matin, le personnel des chambres devraient recevoir instruction de la réception que la chambre est libre plutôt que de frapper aux portes pour vérifier s'il y a encore quelqu'un! When I booked this room I was told I would have an oven and full fridge and there was no oven and a mini fridge (mind you I asked for the biggest room in the hotel). When we walked in there was a sock on the ground (great cleaning service). Then when the room got very hot and stuffy I was told to crack open a window because the AC was not turned on for the season yet!!!! April 28, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Downtown hotel I love coming to this hotel since the Bar 620 was installed, it's a warm and comfortable area to relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine. However, during my most recent 2 stays here, the wine bar was closed or closed early (8 PM is early to me!). Also, there is no breakfast included in the stay, so that is an additional expense. I was able to purchase an appetizing breakfast in the Bar 620 (again, surprising at a wine bar) at a reasonable cost, so it certainly was a satisfying start to the day. I would plan on staying here again, but only if I have access to Bar 620 in the evenings. April 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room, great service and wonderful food I usually avoid " hotel food", but decided to try the restaurant off the lobby of the Holiday Inn Downtown in Buffalo NY. The service was top notch and our meals were simply excellent! We enjoyed a dinner special, a free bottle of wine with 2 entrees, which was just perfect. I ordered the Tuscan scallops and shrimp over pasta in a lemon garlic sauce. The shrimp were huge, the scallops seared perfectly and the sauce was the perfect blend of flavor without the garlic over powering the dish. I would return and order the same dish without hesitation. My wife was equally pleased with her chicken dish. We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay in Buffalo, and would gladly return to the Holiday Inn Downtown. April 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What Changed at this Hotal? Very disappointed with my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Buffalo and hope it was just an off-day and not reflective of a change at the hotel. This is an older hotel with typical older hotel quarks… but that has never been an issue because their customer service has always been stellar. This stay, however, was anything but stellar. First, I was told there is now an “Informal Policy” that they no longer will drive people (including me) in their van to a very close (less than 10 blocks) business where I had a morning meeting (has never been questioned in the past 6+ years and indeed, was given a very nice tour of the neighborhood a few years ago by the van driver). They only provide transportation to the airport. Thus, the driver and desk clerk told me to take a cab. Although the front desk called a cab for me, I had to wait 20 minutes which caused me to be nearly late for a meeting. The entire time I waited, the driver and the desk clerk talked about nothing but what bars are best in town while we waited for the cab. Not good customer service. Was it just the van driver being lazy? Interestingly, it was the same driver that took more than an hour and a half to pick me up at the airport the night before. What is an “informal policy” and why would the hotel not try to make me a happy customer when it would have been so easy! FYI the cab fare was $4.20. Second, they were so busy chatting about bars, they forgot to send me a wake-up call as requested. There were many additional issues with this stay, but I am limited on word count. Needless to say, I canceled my Friday evening reservation at the hotel and stayed at the Holiday Inn Airport. Again, I hope this hotel was having an off day as I have always been more than pleased with the service. April 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Service! I stayed here for one night and it was fantastic! The hotel staff were all very friendly. We arrived early and our room was already ready which was nice. The room was nice and the beds were super comfortable. I also enjoyed the free parking, it is not something that you find too often anymore, so I really appreciated that. I will be staying here again on my next visit to Buffalo! April 21, 2015
