Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wolf193 Super Hotel im Zentrum von Bydgoszcz

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Count_Keiler Excellently located, but a significant decrease in the personnel quality.
I had my fifth stay (Duration was one week on every stay) at the Holiday Inn Bydgoszcz.
The Location ist outright excellent. Directly next to the City centre, with Restaurants, bars and Pubs nearby. If you book, Keep in mind that the church directly next to the Hotel will end your night at 06:30a.m. every morning by a constant, bell-induced Sound attack. As I was up at that time anyways, it did not bother me.
The Hotel offers a parking deck, sadly the Slots are way too narrow. A common Audi A6 is projecting over the marks on both sides. Even a BMW 3series Station Wagon only fits "on" the marks, not "in" them. Length are Height are suitable.
The rooms are large enough, the accessories and furniture are in good condition. The beds are comfortable, even though they are quite soft and the pillows are tiny and way too soft.
The bathrooms are of good Quality, but on two of my four stays I was placed in a room with a tub, instead of a shower. Even though the tub has a included shower, it is definitely built for very small adults or children.
The breakfast decreased in Quality during the last year. The warm dishes are just warm, not hot. The bread, rolls and other cold dishes have stopped being fresh (cheese slices hard as a rock, so they must have been outside the fridge for hours, not minutes).
The offered Drinks are still very good, convenience Juices, milk, Coffee and tea in different styles and varieties.
The Restaurant was not satisfying at all. We had to eat there as we came back from the Offices quite late one night.
The servings were very small, the Food rather cold. The Quality was below any Hotel Standard while the Prices were, compared to the Bydgoszcz Price Level, extremely high.
The Hamburger one of my accompanies ate was a perfect example for a bad hamburger.
The Buns burnt, the patty cold. The salad not exactly fresh and the fries not fried at the first try. (burnt to death after he asked the waiter to return them to the Chef)
Having in mind there are several Restaurants in the direct proximity I strongly recommend to eat there. The Prices are in between a quarter to the half of the Prices in the "Bolero", both Quality and size are way better.
Overally I have to state, that the Quality of the staff severly worsened in the last year.
While the Front desk is still excellent (they are mostly fluent in english and really eager to help you in every single Need), the housekeeping has room for improvement. Sometimes there is no cleaning at all and once the personnel tried to clean the room at 8 p.m. It feels, as if the housekeeping is a bit overburdened.
While the waiters at the breakfast were, though seemingly unexperienced, at least motivated and friendly, the "Chef" preparing the omelttes on my last stay was a Desaster.
To sum it up, I had two Major concerns:
1.) The personnel seems to be (partly) inexperienced and outright overstrained
2.) The Restaurant, in my opinion, is all smoke and mirrors.
Besides that, the stay still was alright.
