Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's fine Check in was quick and early, which we very much appreciated. There was an issue with the AC, but was fixed very quickly. Room is pretty large, and I like all the windows. Just make sure to close the blinds in the evening, unless you want to give a peep show. Bathroom was what is to be expected. Bed was comfortable, and I appreciate the choice of soft or firm pillow, nice touch there. Wasn't a fan of the fruity smell in the lobby. Not sure if they sprayed the place with something, or it's the cleaners. Rug had a bit of a stain in the room, so just made sure not to walk around barefoot in it. Least favorite part was the morning breakfast. It reminded me of the food I had on the Qantas flight, which is fine for flying, but not so great in a restaurant. September 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Escape to. Wow what a beautiful Hotel. Luxury, great atmosphere, music and smells from essential oils to great food. Staff are fantastic. Rooms are spacious and clean with extras like a desk area. Bed comfortable, pillows soft or firm your choice. Air-conditioner actually works really well. View from room great through big windows and view from balcony peaceful looking at the tropical plants. Had a great stay did not want to leave and didn't even get a chance to enjoy their great swimming pool. Next time. September 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing staff service A mess up with my flights means I have been staying here almost 2 weeks. I have needed to relax and I am honestly surprised at how much I am enjoying it here. The icing on the cake is how friendly the staff, everyone I have talked to is so nice and goes out of their way to talk. Not been in a hotel before with such friendly people. It's very relaxed here. It's in the perfect location for pretty much everything, few minutes walk to the lagoon and literally across the road from the beach. Food is very nice, good variety for adults and kids, just an overall pleasant time and I would more than certainly recommend staying here to anyone. Thanks again! September 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by To return is to enjoy Having stayed at this hotel 12 months prior to this visit I knew what to expect with regard to facilities and room comfort. As a member of the priority privilege club I find most Holiday Inn hotels offer a certain level of accommodation which is more than acceptable and well priced. The Cairns hotel has a most wonderful Atrium that certainly gives you a sense of coolness and serenity on the warmest of days. Staff are pleasant and well informed. My only criticism, which I understand would be hard to address is the size of the bathrooms and the need to step into a bath for a shower. Otherwise an enjoyable stay and certainly a top location. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A hidden gem We stayed for a week and couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The food was superb. Any issues were dealt with immediately. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff of this hotel to deal with. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel, once you discover the hidden gem that is Cairns. September 8, 2014
