When I checked-in, reception said that they could not find my booking. I stayed in this hotel 5 times already and this was the first time they could not find my booking. At the end, I had to wait and looked for my printed booking copy and then they checked my booking was found because they have pre-check-in my booked and has been put aside.
Also, I stayed in the hotel 3 nights, but I was only credited points for 2 nights. I had to email Priority Club to ask for adjustment. Not sure if this is due to their system problem but this is something to improve for both the hotel and priority club.
Also, as a platinum member and stayed in the hotel for 5 times, but still internet was not free.

We were welcomed by Raj,who has a massive warm smile.
The rooms are great and all with a balcony, the inside of the Hotel is beautifully covered with Tropical plants, and has tables inside.
The staff are always caring and never stop being very nice.
I have stayed at Holiday inns over 30 years, this was the best.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TerryL Almost Brilliant
Wow, this is a great location, right on the Esplanade in Cairns, easy walk for all the action and a great views of Trinity Inlet. The Hotel is well managed, well maintained and has nice people. The rooms are clean and well appointed. But is just misses out on being brilliant and for the craziest reason.
The hotel has a huge plaza area that opens on to the Esplanade with great views of the water. Any of the restaurants, bars or cafes on the Esplanade would kill for this space and outlook but.... This hotel has its dining area and bar buried away in the bowels of the ground floor where there are no views, and you may as well be in a basement in Melbourne. It does not make any sense.
This hotel could have one of the liveliest food and beverage venues in town but instead it effectively tells guests who are there to enjoy the tropical outdoors to go down the street to somewhere that knows how to capitalize on its location.
Either the owner or the manager needs to have a reality check, if the Restaurant and Bar were moved to the other end of the ground floor and the alfresco area that they already own were used effectively this Hotel would be unbeatable.

What gives with this? Why no top sheet? Why is this too short?

Considerring we were in a suite for two nights. NO free parking, NO complementary breakfast, NO free Wi Fi, NO plates or cutlery. The suite was comfortable but small, bed only a queen. Location ideal.
