Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service & standards Having made a booking well in advance one would expect a speedy check in, especially arriving late in the evening, however it took well over 15 minutes to complete this. The room that was allocated was an absolute shocker, the stench coming from it was so bad that no person should be allowed to spend the night in it. Trying to get through to reception for a room move proved another mission, and only after 30 minutes and 3 phone calls was another room provided. After all this one would expect some sort of follow up from the duty manager but allas, that too was clearly not part of the services offered. The service in the main bar is extremely poor. The bar manager can be seen behind the till most of the time, however does not make any effort to serve the guests and as there was most of the time only 1 barman on duty, it was not uncommon having to wait for up to 20 minutes just to be offered services. Check out was an absolute nightmare, trying to pay for 3 rooms was an effort that required 4 staff members and the better part of 20 minutes. In this day and age of computers one would expect this to be a quick and painless exercise. All in all a very poor performance and not one to be repeated. September 23, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WINDOWS RESTAURANT This is my third visit to the holiday Citystar & every time I face the same difficulties at your Windows Restaurant . Last visit I complaint about the same issue not having sufficient staff to serve the customers & the manager promised me to solve this issue however sadly to inform you this problem still exist. You need to look for someone to serve you some coffee & I wasn't able to find any one to help, then I found one & requested coffee from him and left without coming back. I spoke to a staff from the restaurant complaining about the service & he said sorry the staff haven't report to work yet, the time was 7:45am. I spoke also to the manager of the restaurant Mr. Ahmad & I got unacceptable answer. I hope you look after your people & after the services because it doesn't meet the standard of IHG. I suggest to have the tea and the coffee on a table so we can have self service will be much better and faster. September 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best holiday Inn I have ever stayed in I have stayed in the USA in several locations as Holiday Inn Somerset Woodbridge , Holiday Inn George Washington Bridge and Holiday Inn Parsipany , and other holiday Inn locations in the united states whom I do not remember all of which are incomparable with the 5 stars Holiday Inn Citystars as all other locations in USA was a 3 stars hotel serving food completely different than the one served in Holiday Inn city stars . further more the only 5 stars holiday Inn that I have stayed at in europe was Holiday Inn Sofia Bulgaria which is incomparable with Holiday Inn citystars as well and the food served is incomparable as well In addition the front desk staff are very decent and friendly where their first concern is the guest satisfaction which is an indication of competent front desk manager and competent Assist. front desk manager as well and and the guest relations staff with whom I had a short conversation are very knowledgeable and fully aware of the IHG rewards program which is an indication of competent guest relation manager who had taught them . I think that the hotel general manger and his deputy exerted a great effort for selecting the front desk manager , the Assistant front desk manager and the guest relation manager by whom all the front desk staff and the guest relations staff are responsible. The breakfast buffet is very rich which exceeds any other buffet in other 5 stars hotels chains I had never found such food quality in any other Holiday Inn I had stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel for all visitors more than any other hotel. September 13, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good all round holiday inn The hotel is beside city star mall and so there is no issue for restaurants or leisure time. The area is crowded and in rush ours it will be packed but always nice to be in the city center. I like it because after work I can go to the mall walk a bit or sit and get a coffee while doing some paperwork. I have to say that there is a bellman by the name of Ramadan who is amazing. He always has a smile ready and ready to help in any way he can. I think the first day he helped me with my bag and the next 2 days he kept on asking how my trip was going so far. He really made an impression on me that he just wanted everything to be going well and that I'm satisfied. I guess that is the Egyptian hospitality that people talk about. August 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Windows The windows restaurant lack the customer service, they only ask you for your room number but they don't serve you with coffee neither tea, we have to go and serve your self. You have to look for the chief since we don't find him waiting for the guests. They are never ready. The facilities really not clean enough, you find trash everywhere. August 17, 2014
