Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pickyfromsouthyorkshire an excellent stopover
Stay here whenever we cross the Channel as our first and last port of call. It was quiet in November and we were upgraded to a family suite - I am a platinum member. The newly renovated rooms look good and the beds were fairly comfortable. We always travel with our own pillows as the standard can vary from room to room and hotel to hotel. We did not like the new coffee machine in the suite but usually drink tea and always travel with our own supply so the kettle and plenty of milk is always welcome. The swimming pool is very good for relaxing but can be crowded at times. Breakfast is quite good and poached eggs are well prepared. Restaurant can be very good but the choices on the menu vary and we have not particularly liked many of the dishes available in Oct and Nov.

We have stayed here many times on our way to and from the UK. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. We always eat in the restaurant, not only is the food very good but the staff are friendly and attentive to the clients needs.
Our initial reason for booking this hotel was because it is only a few minutes drive from the tunnel terminal but now we go back because we like staying there and know we will be comfortable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AKR1 Overnight stay with a UK Wine Run
We had our 3 year old grandson with us. The hotel staff were welcoming to children & the pool was simply superb for use with a child. We would not normally eat in our hotel but with a child we had little choice. The fish in the restaurant was superb, Complimets to the Chef and his staff.
The hotel is very close to the shopping centre & the 2 wine stores where we ordered our wine & then collected the next day.
A great mid - week break with exceptional ferry crossing prices.
If you want good inexpensive wine & a great hotel Try it and you will enjoy

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bill95 Nice hotel with a good restaurant
This is a good middle of the road hotel in a superb situation within easy reach of hypermarkets, autoroutes etc. But it has one very big fault, the heating is very poor, the radiators even when full on are only luke warm.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location as we were continuing on to Paris from Germany. It is close to the main routes, the Channel tunnel, the Auchan shopping centre and the CitiEurope shopping centre.
However, the location is also quietly set in the countryside and made for a quiet night's rest.
We had two rooms and they were interconnected with doors which gave control over privacy and communication. This meant that we could interact with our older children in the other room while enjoying our own space.
The room was very comfortable and clean and we had a very pleasant stay.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Maria50 Poor service and breakfast
This my favourite Holiday Inn. The one I use the most as I travel to France several times a year. Usually the staff are lovely and the food is good. My husband and I travelled over via Calais in October 2012 but on this occasion the receptionist was unsmiling and abrupt. She asked me to sign the reservation slip as I had made the booking but whilst I was getting out my credit card she instructed my husband to sign instead. It isn't even a joint credit card.
We were in a room on the first floor above the dining room. All night the furniture was being scraped across the floor by cleaners.
The next morning we came down to a cold and shoddily presented breakfast for which we then had to pay Euro 36. The poor boy who was servicing breakfast was running around literally throwing food onto plates for room service. We paid and left. Just so disappointing. I'll give it one more try.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sunflower58 Great place to relax before facing M25 next day!
This is a regular one night venue for us when travelling back from Bordeaux to the UK as the M25 is a nightmare. The rooms are well equipped with comfy beds, a bath which is a bonus for relaxing after a long journey. Many competitors only have shower. Kettle & proper china mugs not paper ones thank goodness. Heating was efficient.
Able to catch up with UK news on satellite TV. Only criticism- not very fast at check in & think it may have been a trainee as key card did not work on room door so had to return to reception. Leisure facilities closed for refurbishment during our stay. Otherwise very happy as always.

Convenient hotel to ferry and eurostar. Quiet location. Refurbished rooms and good Restaurant. Friendly staff
Only Holidayinn hotel where the computer is not able to save the guest details. So with every visit (5-6 times a year) details have to be done again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jim2 Ok but pricey
The worst example of an English breakfast I have experienced anywhere in the world.
Be prepared for a very long wait at the table in the evening. The food is artistic but not very substantial. Flies were anoying.
The most expensive drinks I have found in France are available at the bar, if you can find a member of staff to serve you, when you can they are very welcoming
Rooms are average but clean.
Located out in the country away from amenities.
Probably the most expensive hotel in the area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Martin3142 Great Stopover
The location makes this an ideal stopover for those using ferries. The restaurant is also very good. We noticed that if your French is poor, they speak good English. However, if you speak French reasonably they afford you time to make your point.
