Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY We stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary-Macleod Trail South last weekend ( February 5, 2016). Check-in was very quick and efficient. The gentleman who checked us in greeted us as IHG members. We were upgraded to a better room. The room was clean and comfortable. The only down was the size of the bathroom..Very small. We met friends in the lounge. Our server was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We had booked a room that included breakfast. We were a little disappointed in the variety of food provided in the buffet, compared to other Holiday Inns we have stayed at. What we did get was good however. I would recommend this hotel. It was a great value for the cost and it was near everything that we were in Calgary for. February 9, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Always stay here when in Calgary This place may not be the most up to date but the staff make up for the older looking decor. The restaurant however has some work to do. The price is high for the quality you get. I'm not impressed to have to pay for breakfast even though i have a Gov't rate which is less then the cost of the breakfast. January 25, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth consideration Perhaps it is due to the location but I didn't see that this hotel had anything go for it. I travel 35-40 weeks per year in the US and Canada and this hotel was the worst I have ever been in while north of the border. It is a four story hotel with the only elevator located in a manner as to make it practically unusable. The heating system kept making metallic pinging noises every time it heated up and cooled down. I was "upgraded" because of being Spire Elite and the room was organized so that between the desk and the television a stand with the refrigerator and microwave. Because of this arrangement you could barely see the upper 1/5 of the TV screen. January 14, 2016
