I was there for business and tornado/ high winds storms were passing thru. They did a wonderful job and kept very calm. I realize this was difficult in light of the storm memories of a few years back; so, KUDOS!

Only cons were: The shower floor was slick. Had to put towels on the floor so you could take a shower. The little bags of food were old and stale. The elevator smelled musty and stinky. Otherwise the room was nice, clean, and quiet. Easy access to Jiffi Stop and Golden Corral. Also easy access to main highway.

Have been here three times now and each time the staff was great. Ate at the restuarant and it was delicious. Great that I can just walk downstairs and not have to go out espically in the cold.

Customer services was very good.... we got directions and recommendations for restaurants. The room was exceptional, and so very relaxing. Very calm environment. We will be staying there again if in the area.
The one thing I miss is the cinnamon rolls in the morning.

This was our second visit to Carbondale. The first time we stayed at a neighboring hotel and were not satisfied. After reading positive reviews about this hotel and their #1 rating, we decided to try it. We were very pleased, the minute we walked into the lobby. The decor is modern and will make a family from the northern Chicago area feel at home. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and professional. They have a shuttle available, but we had our own car. It's conveniently connected to a nicely decorated restaurant, Houlihan's, that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's also very close to the University Mall with Macy's, Kohl's, TJMaxx, Ross, Bed, Bath & Beyond and AMC Theaters! It's definitely worth the extra few minutes to join the Priority Club Rewards. It doesn't cost anything. You earn points with each stay and there are benefits. If breakfast isn't complimentary, you'll probably receive vouchers. For example, the restaurant style breakfast buffet, not a hotel lobby continental breakfast buffet, is $6.95 at Houlihan's. The hotel will give you a $4.00 voucher per guest. We will definitely stay here each visit, if my son decides to attend SIU. Priority Club hotels are located at other college campuses, as well.

The staff member in the front desk on 11/15/12 at around 2pm was very accommodating. She allowed us to use an unused conference room in order for us to work in comfort.

I did not know that smoking was still allowed in hotels in Illinois. Not a smoker but got stuck in smoking room. Bad decision to stay in smoking room. Platinum Member but have never been acknowledged at this hotel.

Bathroom toilets way to noisy you can hear all neighbors above, below or beside when they flush night or day. The gym both treadmills broken. I prefer the typical holiday inn express breakfast the restaurant has very limited complimentary items.

This is far and away the best hotel in town. While it is also the most expensive hotel in town, this hotel is always clean. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are always friendly, professional, and competent. The restaurant has good food for a reasonable price without having to drive anywhere. We visit Carbondale frequently and have tried other, less expensive hotels. It simply isn't worth it.
The one recommendation that I have would be to improve the lighting in the bathrooms and to install magnified make-up mirrors.

Great place to stay. Great staff, The breakfast buffet wasn't ready on time in the morning but the food was good. Stay there every time we are in the area.

I hate the disposable water and coffee cups. I realize that it is a cost issue. Could real cups and glasses be made available upon request. I would pay a fee or deposit. Perhaps a perk for priority members?
